The electoral college system was agreed upon at the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Without it there'd have been no ratification and no Union of the States into a Federal Republic. Fortunately, you have the Electoral College to be thankful for in enabling you to be a citizen of the United States of America instead of a citizen of a little powerless State, which may or may not have become a place where racism would come to exist in such an incredibly repressive way making you completely unable to realize your full potential as a human being, a situation you evidently feel yourself in at the moment.
Why Was the Electoral College Created?

Trump was known to keep a Red State-Blue State map within view at all times in the Oval Office of the states he won to reach the Electoral College requirement to override the obvious wish and will of the American people in 2016. As we all know, such a map can look like almost nothing but a sea of RED! Trump loved gazing at it.
Here's the problem: That is essentially a map of LAND, not a map highlighting areas where actual American human beings choose to work and reside in the largest numbers.
Btw, a map highlighting the states' "Only 2 Senators Per Each State Regardless of Population" idiotic nonsense would produce the same sea of RED delusion.
we must give to 0. 0000000000000001% billionaires a multibillion dollar tax cut
The last year and a half of enforced lockdowns have transferred trillions of dollars of wealth from small businesses to the billionaire owners. See Jeff Bezos. The billionaires have benefited from small businesses being crushed and forced under by draconian and unconstitutional edicts.
And who has been most fanatical about forcing small business owners into penury, sending in law enforcement to shut them down if they dared to exercise their constitutional rights? Leftist democrat governors like Whitmer, Newsom and Soprano. I mean Cuomo. Meanwhile conservative republicans like Noem, DeSantis and Abbott have kept their states and small businesses open. And guess what? Their states' covid figures are the same or better than the shutdown stalinists. Another fail for the dems, no matter how the fake news spins it.

Sports Analogy
Excellent post. Trump got 12 million more votes in 2020 than he won with in 2016. The overwhelming scale of his victory was a shock to the dems, who had not expected to have to cheat as much as they did: hence the shutting down of the count in democrat-run cities for some hours after midnight while they scrambled to print out the extra fake ballots they needed. At least 200,000 of them in Arizona alone. Many more soon to be uncovered in Georgia, PA and elsewhere.
Here's the rethuglicans "trump won and the dems cheated" argument if the same thing happened in American football.
My team lost to a clearly inferior opponent by a score of 21-28. We were leading at halftime by 21-0. It is inconceivable that they outscored us by 28-0 in the second half. They must have cheated! Plus, we beat them last year by 17-13. So we scored more points this time and still lost! The only way this could have happened is if they cheated!
none of the insurrectionists wanted to hang Mike Pence.
Definition of insurrection.
"An act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government".
It pretty much goes without saying that the many Black Lives Matter riot insurrections against the police had a great number of thugs in their "peaceful protests" who wanted to hang Mike Pence. Nobody would deny that.

We were leading 28-14 with one minute to go when suddenly there was a mysterious power outage and the stadium was plunged into darkness. When the lights came back on, the scoreboard read 31-28 to the other side.

It looks like rethuglicans are the ones ignoring facts.
Did Kathy Griffin actually intend to try and murder President Trump when she did that stupid photoshoot? Did all the leftist dimwits and midwits who spouted threats to him actually intend to carry them out? Of course not, you dotard. It is a metaphor to state how angry they were with his actions, as were the statements toward Pence for his cowardice over the election fraud.
Nobody who trespassed in the Capitol intended to cause serious violence and destruction, which is why no fires were started, nobody was killed or even seriously injured (except an unarmed protester, Ashli Babbitt, executed by security forces) and nothing but the most superficial damage was done (a couple of broken windows). If all those people had meant to do serious damage and carry out a real insurrection, it would have been a bloodbath. It was anything but.
Speaking of "ignoring facts", I see Nancy Glassface Pelosi has blocked elected Republican representatives from the investigation because they wanted to question her over her role in the policing failure on Jan 6.
On Jan 4, US Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund requested extra security for the building as he knew there was a huge protest planned for Jan 6. (In fact, the FBI and other Washington intelligence agencies knew even more about the protest and planned trespassing into the Capitol, as they organised it via their undercover agents and informants). House serjeant-at-arms Paul Irving, who works for the Speaker, rejected the request, later claiming that intelligence reports showed no need for extra security.
This was clearly a flat out lie. The FBI, through their many agents and informants (dozens of whom are unnamed and unindicted co-conspirators in the charging documents for the patsies they set up) knew exactly what was coming, as they had been integral in organising it. Pelosi knew too, and ordered the serjeant-at-arms to reject the extra policing because they wanted the Capitol trespass to happen, to create a fake media storm which they could try to use to attack the 75 million Trump voters and strip us of our constitutional liberties and rights.
Fortunately, as with most of their schemes, more people are becoming wise to it every day.

You've really jumped the shark now. I'm starting to think your whole schtick is deep satire, in which case it is brilliantly done.
Trump, of course, boosted the military massively, increasing spending and fixing the broken VA system, while at the same time not starting any more pointless wars that get our servicemen and women killed and maimed. (And yes, genuinely killed and maimed, not the "killed and maimed" that you fake news leftists claim happened on Jan 6, which was in fact just shouting and pushing).
