Shanghai Hotel open yesterday
shanghai hotel closed, so is the place on Jiangning Road / Wuding Road.
What's going on here.
I also noticed that at peacock, they blocked out their 298rmb service with some cardboard with Chinese writing on it. I went in and asked if they still had the service they said they did.
But I can't help but think somethings going on?
Hi All,
my first day in Shanghai...and i was in Shanghai Hotel yesterday and it was open and the service was just fine, it was at about 6pm and no sign of closing.

World Plaza B2 Currently Closed
As of last Friday, B2 had a sign posted on the door (in Chinese) that stated they were closed for repairs due to a "water pipe".
Today, as of 4:00 p.m., they were still closed with the same sign on the door.
To be sure, there are significant and large-scale renovations underway on both B1 (subway concourse level) and B2 level as well. Ther are many shops and other spaces that have major contracting activity.
My guess -- and it's just a guess -- is that it could be another week until it reopens.
Doesn't look good, Wordsofwisdom
I met a girl in a BBS before Xmas...
She is frightened of sex and especially kissing and so I have been patient so far.
There is a big age difference and she is ok with this. She swears that she is very happy with me and only needs time to settle down. Come on lads, give me some advice here!
So you've known her for 4 months, she is living with you, big age difference (how big?), interested in marriage, had an abortion, afraid of sex, especially kissing... and you are looking for advice? As a friendly comment, do the math.
Of course, it is possible that she is genuine. But what are the odds, given the facts as you have presented them? It would be useful for you to spend some time reading the China Women - Opinions and Advice section, and possibly PMing some of the guys that have found themselves in situations where they have fallen in love with young and beautiful Chinese girls. And then find they are not so simple and straightforward as originally seemed.
Whatever you decide, best of luck to you.

Soapy recommendation for Pudong area
I'm going to China in May. First time and I speak zero Chinese. Will be visiting Shanghai and staying at Pudong Shangri-La. I have never had a soapy and have always wanted to try that. 999 seems to be highly recommended but appears to be quite some distance from my hotel. Sarcosa seems closer but do they do soapy?
Any recommendations are highly appreciated, thx.
