Cambodia - visa on arrival
Garotoz-
Yes. Before you leave for Cambodia, be sure you have 2 passport photos of yourself and $20 USD. When you arrive you will be required to submit one or both of the photos, fill out some forms and pay the $20. You wukk be given your visa (in your passport.) Then, you will pass through customs as in any other country. I went through this process last month on my first visit there.
When you exit the country you will have to pay $25 USD, so have that with you (in USD cash) when you return to the airport.
I know a good moto driver (Neak Yorn) if you need one. See the Classified Section of this forum (Asia section, Cambodia.)
Enjoy.

Do not remove your expired visa
i first visited cambo via the hat lek - koh kong border about 2 1/2 years ago. once back in thailand i noticed the expired "stick on" cambodia via was peeling back on one corner and attracting lint and such, so i peeled it off. i returned to cambodia 6 month later, and again once back in thailand i peeled off the expired visa freeing up more room in my passport.
the next time i went to the hat lek - koh kong border i applied for a cambodian visa to enter and was refused. the cambodian immigration officer noticed the cambodian stamps that were left in my passport and said i had broken immigration law by removing the previous expired visas and hostilely sent me away.
i was able to get a visa at the cambo embassy in bkk. when i presented it at the border, the officers were not pleased but they let me through after about 20 mins. of discussion. i had the impression that if they turned me away it would have caused loss of face to the bkk embassy. now i always get my visa at the embassy before i hit the border. now i sail right through and i am charged to correct fee for the visa.
take care,

Cambo Visa in BKK question
Hi,
How long does it take for you to get the Cambo visa at the BKK consulate? Days, hours?
TIA
Lesser known areas both in PP and outside of???
Hi everyone!
I have read all your comments with interest, thank you all for your contributions!
This is the year when I finally hit Cambodia. I have a fair amount of info and I have developed a plan:
I will come through the LOS border and spend 2 days in the border town, down to Snooky for 2days and then bus to PP for a few days.
I have two questions:
1- Is it worth it to hire a driver or moto dude to show me around for a couple of days in PP? I think I know where all the major spots are based on what I have read here but I would like to visit some of the less well travelled bars/barbershops. Not necessarily to partake (although I plan on it) but I do like exploring.
2- Are there other cities/towns nearby (3-4hr) away from PP that one can go to where action may be found?
Thanks in advance!
