Thanks for the great info on this board.
I am going down to the DR this july for some fun with the chicas. This will be my second trip to the island I used to go to Brazil every year for fun but it is time for a little break. I love the girls in Brazil but I hear great things about SD and the remington palace. + it is closer. Ley me know if greek can be had at the palace.

Hey Ramsey
Go down to DR with this mindset--any thing can be had for the right amount of money. It all depends on how much you want to spend

For anyone that has been to both Remmington Palace in Santo Domingo and Passions in Santiago.
I have been to RP in SD and luved it....I liked the club like atmoshpere and the selection of girls there was awesom....I personally like lighter skin and younger (18-25) girls.....that look like JLO, Penelope Cruz, ...etc..you get the picture.....
My question is how does Passions compare to RP? I have heard there are like 100 beauties at Passion...which is more than RP. How is the quality of girls compared to RP? As far as looks and attitude and price?
Any info would be nice....in addition what hotels in Santiago allows girls?
Thanks for all the help!

I am going to Santo Domingo in July. I have a question about Remington Palace, do they have rooms there? How much does it cost if you decide to use rent a room instead of buying a "salida"?

HI Baricua:
There is no such thing like banging rooms upstairs. You have to take the chicas out. Fare is RP 1500 (USD 90) and cannot be bargained. For 2-3 hours at Remington, expect USD 150 (chica, drinks, taxi, tip or snack with girl outside).

No rooms?
Strange, since many of the other clubs have rooms onsite, such as Passions and Casa Blanca in Santiago, and LaBoem in Puerto Plata.
You must always pay the Salida, thats how the house makes money.

Yes, it may sound strange but it is true: no rooms whatsoever. Remington is an upmarket club. In addition, the chicas live there, so there is no room for visitors... I had good vibes there and could put many questions to the ladies and the bouncers. Anyhow, doesn't one feel more comfortable banging his novia in his hotel room? no harassment, space, intimacy...
Where do you live *******? Do you appear on one of the photos you have posted on your website?

Can anyone provide me with some info on tour guides? The last time I was in SD, we met this guy that showed us around and took us to all the places....it was actually very helpful to have some one that can speak spanish and that was from DR.

RAMSEY,
MY FAVORITE HOTEL IN SANTO DOMINGO IS THE INTERCONTINENTAL. WALK TO THE JARAGUA (NICEST CASINO), NICE POOL DECK FOR DAYTIME. CLOSE TAXI RIDE TO REMINGTON PALACE. BUT NONE OF THE DECENT HOTELS IN SD ARE REASONABLE. MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO STAY IN SANTO DOMINGO A FEW DAYS AND IN BOCA CHICA A FEW. THIS GIVES YOU A TASTE OF THE BEACH, AND A GOOD AVERAGE HOTEL PRICE.

Fantasy, is Remington Palace walking distant from Hotel Jaragua or a taxi is necessary? Is there any other reccomended place?

this is an update of a previous message below.
i have just spent 1 week in santo domingo (30 june-8 july) and i came to a deeper understanding of the city.
hotels: napolitano now charges usd 85. another option is mercure hotel (french group accor), cheaper (usd 80, breakfast included), strategically located on calle el conde (main pedestrian street in the colonial town, and one of the social spots of the city) and also girl-friendly; this will be my pick from now on. there are cheaper options (usd 30-40) around the parque independencia (western tip of calle el conde), but you will get what you pay for (no air con'd, power shortage...).
nighttime action: middle-class regular discos: cornucopia on avenida venezuela and avenida san vicente ; upscale regular discos: at jarahua hotel (jubile) or jetset; underground disco (in a cave) guaycara taina, for fun. tips: 1) most regular discos are free of charge; if any cover charge, go there on ladies' nights (noche de damas) since there will be plenty of chicas who can't afford it on regular nights; 2) if you stay several days in sd, it is perfectly possible to ferret out non-pro women in these discos, provided you can dance merengue and you speak some spanish though.
remington palace : i confirm it is number one by far in the category of gogo bars. it seems to me that there is a high turnover of chicas, which yields even more diversity. you pay usd 90 (dr $ 1500) after 1 am and the girl should stay all night long; if you leave before 1 am, either you pay that price and she has to come back to remington before 3 am or you pay 2 exit fees (salidas) to have her all the night (up to 11 am).
daytime action: massage parlor mona lisa (open up to 11 pm), allegedly number one for body-body massages.
miscellaneous: 1) open air "disco": avenida del puerto, also called el bonche: this is actually a place where dominicans meet by night and put their car hi-fi on; there are plenty of cars playing different music and the locals just shake it while having a drink. worth having a peek; 2) you should not pay more than dr $ 300 for hiring a taxi all night long; 3) by day, one can hang out on el conde or in the main mall plaza central or go to the beach (e.g. boca chica); several internet cafes there.
que les vaya bien ! :d

hola amigos !
i have just spent 3 days in santo domingo (coming from sosua: see post in section). there are spots for hunters all around the city, the low season notwithstanding.
i stayed at hotel napolitano on the malecon, which is clean, cheap (usd 70) and girl-friendly.
i gave a look to several hot spots (a 3-hour night tour with a taxi will cost r$ 300-600 depending on your spanish skills), like casa teresa, casa modelos, lapsus, monaco, but remington palace is definitely number one in its category: it has far more chicas (120) than any other place; the fare is r$ 1500 (usd 90) that you pay to remington when leaving with the girl; this price is intended for a night but if you don't speak spanish or appear to be a newbie, the girl will try to get only one shot and then go back to remington for another prey ! most chicas are 5 and more, with an average range of 6-7 and some 8 and 9. beers are r$ 60 and liquors are 100. the best chicas in bed are not necessarily the most good-looking ones nor the most easy-going when chatting with them. for those who know rio de janeiro, i would dub remington a small "help"...
three main streets for girl action are malecon, avenida independencia (remington, lapsus...), and avenida venezuela (for "generalist" discos).
my daily budget turned out to be usd 200-220 when accounting for chicas (at remington), hotel, taxi, drinks and food; which is of course twice or thrice as much as in the north (puerto plata...). it is high by dominican republic standards (weekly payroll for a clerk is usd 35-40), but i prefer to pay usd 90 for a 9 than 30 for a 3; in other words, my tastes are not linear !!
contrary to small towns, e.g. sosua, sd looks hot all year long.
hasta la proxima!
Fantasy, thanks for your info. I plan to vist Monalisa in the morning and the other massage club that is near the V Centenario, I dont remember the name. By night I am going to visit Remington Palace, and maybe some other casa. I dont know if Casa de las Modelos and Casa Rosada still exist. I also plan to vist a disco that is the nearest to el Vesubio restaurant at el malecon. This disco is visited by some of the hottest young girls I have ever seen in Santo Domingo. I dont know if Lapsus is worth a visit, I visited the place three years ago and paid 100 usd for a 23 yr old girl, nice, she took a bubble bath with me that included oral sex and stayed until 9 am, enough for three sex sessions. I was at El Melia Santo Domingo when it was girl friendly and was sharing my room with a brother, we place a bed sheet between our beds for "privacy", but it was exciting to hear the other girl moaning.

off for another 2 weeks of paradise, any one down there, will get down there sunday.stay for a week santo domingo, for the rest will travel around the country.any tips on punta cana??

Please try to ferret out alternative spots in SD and then feed us back. Also, I suggest you give a look to the countryside within 30 miles from SD. You will need to rent a cab for the day; you can do that for less than DR$ 400. You will then meet "genuine" natives, which is a different experience from the chicas in SD. You should be able to mingle well if you speak some Spanish and you are unassuming.

Do you have a report of your dream trip? have you checked out other gogo bars than Remington?
