Different point of view, NOT a flame war
Prices?
Agree, so any and all can skip the "expansion" below.
I have no problem with the provider taking out a separate paid for advertisement on the board (like a banner or a box ad) and charge whatever market bears.

I have no problem with free market theory of supply and demand, but using the board to promote one's wares at what is generally considered as unacceptable prices is against the purpose of this board. Fundamentally, this is a site that provides assistance to travelers and punters and not otherwise.
Please check the title of THIS thread: Classified Ads. What else would you expect to find here except ads for services? As for price 'regulation', I think the thread does an admirable job on its own by the comments here (and why YOURS are SO welcome!).
An acceptable/unacceptable price is up to the individual to determine for himself. There are girls I'd pay a 1000 for (not many), and girls I wouldn't pay even 50 dhs for (plenty of those). MY choice. When a girl quotes me what I consider an "unacceptable" price, I just say 'no thank you' and move on. This is dxb, many choices around, and Mina is one.
I'll also say that MOST of us, first time here, paid too much, later on learning "truer" prices (cheap thrills: tell a girl it's your first time in dxb, first time at this bar, and see her eyes light up). IF you do some reading here, this can be mitigated, but it does take time to read. And for those whose time is too valueable to do the research, Mina is an alternative. No saying the best one, but she does provide A solution.
What is happening here is a classic case of price gouging from unsuspecting and weary travelers.
No, what is happening here is someone offering a convenience for said travellers.
"Unsuspecting"? How can that be when the prices are stated beforehand? Like Expat Cat says, if all they have time to do is read the classifieds, then that is their choice. I'm certainly not going to protect them from themselves.
"Weary?" But not too weary to want some company. [Couldn't resist taking a shot at this arguement - it's like the "I don't have time to go out and look" arguement - no time to go out and look, but certainly enough time to entertain a "guest"].
As far as I'm concerned, she can charge what she wants - no one is forcing anyone to use said services, and there are other alternatives - either go out to the bars, or use the "health" section in the newspaper classifieds (though whether they will deliver off-site to an unknown, I don't know).
Here, Mina is offerring to deliver, and at least you know the rates beforehand and can judge accordingly if it's worth it TO YOU.
I feel that encouraging rip-off artists is stretching the matter a little too far.
Actually, I started out 'tongue in cheek' on this, along the lines of Expat Cat: if you can read the classifieds, you can also read the ROD's to determine 'fair market value'.
But now, I will defend the ad as a matter of principle. FOR ME, a rip-off is when a service is promised, paid for, and not delivered (the standard pay-in-advance, LT becomes ST). Here, it is clearly stated what the rates are. High? Yes. Rip-off? How can it be a rip when you know what you are going to pay beforehand?
The provider in this case, is smart enough to assuage the concerns of the residents by not only giving them a price rebate, but, to some extent using their standing on this board to promote herself.
Given that I would not use this service, any price rebates are a moot point for me. And anyone is free to quote me as long as they don't misquote me, though the wisdom of using me as a reference is doubtful at best.
I certainly sympathize with the senior punters who have posted (and are posting) a lot of valuable information, but get hit repeatedly with inane requests for phone nos and other provider information. But, I do strongly feel that encouraging rip-off artists to take on them is not the solution.
All I'm saying is that Mina is A solution FOR SOME. I can't vouch personally for her services, but I also won't question the validity of others who do.
And I certainly find an ad such as this LESS offensive than the converse: the "this is how I get if for free by using the 'no stated price, pay after' and having chump change in my pocket, or "bang her so hard, so long, she begs to leave and is happy to take whatever I throw her" posts. Those are the ones that "will be detrimental to the interests of all punters, travelers and residents alike."
(CM)Alia! Alia! Alia! . . . (A)What! . . . (CM)Sorry for cross-posting!
Has any one had Alia lately.
Your perseverance in trying to find this girl Alia, despite no success for 2 years (although you apparently caught up with her again 8 weeks ago), is admirable but don’t you think it’s time to move on?

I totally agree happy hour is total fraud
I was in dubai in last april and tried to use the service of happy hour after so many contacts and assurance that she will send a very beautiful female but beleive me i had never seen such a ugly girl in my life when i saw her as she came in my room in Raddison Deira and i had to literally throw her out of room and the girl was disappointed when she came to know that i dont like her.
She was ready to have session in free even but i refused as she was not worth even free.
This woman who calls herself Mina is total fraud and she doea not have any girl she has shown in her website.
