Ferry From Manila To Cebu !
Does anyone have a report on the ferrys doing this trip!
The Qestions are:
How long?
Which is the better service ( Saftey not sinking)?
The price for GOOD cabin?
I know when i took the ferry from cebu to Bohol, I did it in business class upstairs and was only one there, except for the hostest and received free drinks and food.
Any with disco on board for pick ups?
As I recall in 2004 Ithink one ferry caught fire Or had bomb on board, but hey also planes these days are falling from the sky, I think in the last 3 months 4 have gone done all over the world, I know i can swim but my flying is now only in the bed!
Would appreciated any help. Promise to write report of the adventure of the ferry!
Common sense tells me that, filipinos dont have money, so a lot of students might be going home by ferry and could be very good mongering on board!
Thanks
Cell Phones/Internet Cafes
It's cheap enough to buy a cellphone, about $40 US or so, then just add 300 Peso or 500 Peso loads as you need them. You can then leave the phone as a gift with someone or reuse on the next trip (but you will probably have to buy a new SIM card if you are going to be gone for more than 90 days, a cost of about P500).
Internet cafes are where most people go in RP to browse the net, Chat, play PC Games (so stay away right after school lets out) and even do homework. Most people in RP do not have PC's and Internet at home. It can be a good place to meet someone also.
A cell phone is the staff of life...
Porty:
My advice is to buy a cell phomne before you even hit your first bar or hit on your first woman. It's essential to have one here, and you can buy a used one for as little as $30. You need to establish a means for all of the young lovelies to contact you and contact you they will.
If you want to go up market, and buy a tri band or a quad band, there are dozens of varieties available. These will work virtually anywhere in the world, except Japan which still uses CDMA. They'll even work in the US which (finally) has GSM providers. If you have no use for such a phone in your home country, or on your travels. then it's probably silly to go to the extra expense. Just buy a basic, simple phone that will send and receive text messages and calls. You can pick them up in any mall, any pawn shop and any phone store on the street as the ladies here are forever trading up and pawning their phones.
