All night for 200R? Love Story nights start late; they end late, too? Or, did this not happen any time recently? Considering that you reported yourself in Tbilissi earlier today. That's quite a transit feat to pull off.

Happy Xmas and NYE period from Tbilissi, Georgia.
Let's be fair here dude. Where did Prosal say this was last night? Obviously this was not last night. He was simply giving some info.
And I am spending some time this week in Sao Paulo (and will post in a few days). My first mongering trip here. Some of the ladies at the prives and clinicas have been surprisingly top-notch for under R$100. I also have used a website for in-calls to a motel or visited their flat. R$200 for 2 hours (or more) with a beautiful 10. Amazing ladies. I was expecting Sao Paulo to be more expensive than Rio.
Definitely Monday to Thursday, when girls from all upmarket boites and nearby strip clubs appear like fireflies to party. On weekend, the ratio men/women is not in our favor, and anyhow it's SO packed that you can hardly move (in fact sometimes you can't move at all, and just going to the toilets is a feat), which is annoying.

Ok, I am going to Rio early next year but there is a slim chance Help might be closed and if it is I may take a side trip to Sao Paulo to visit Love Story. I figure I can catch a bus(6 hours?) from rio to SP at 12 noon on a Tuesday get there by 6 pm. Book a room at the Best Western(Close to LS?) catch a nap and enter LS by 1 am for warm ups and watch the games begin. Then I can return to Rio Thursday. I think it's doable, any comments would be appreciated.

When you could fly there really cheap and be there in no time.

Closest hotel to LS is Comfort Hotel Downtown (former Mercure). Same street, rua Araujo.
Don't go at Love Story at 1am. It's a morgue. Better hit one of the N.Pestana strip clubs (Kilt or Vargao) until 2am. Then LS is a 5/7 mn walk, no problems to do it late at night.
Cool video, thanks. It perfectly shows the mood of partying in Love Story, which is undoubtedly the best disco on the planet in the history of mankind, bar none.

Check out fares on Gol into Cong. airport in SP. They may even fly from SD airport in Rio - making it convenient on both ends. Very cheap fares if you book well in advance. Bus is probably like 6 to 7 hours for around R$70 each way. Check out Cometa and 1001 Onibus sites.
I am finding the SP women to be spectacular.

I'm glad to read this remark on this forum.
When it comes to hobbying, Rio is a lot more expensive (and homogeneous) than São Paulo.
In Rio you'll find mainly garotas (mulatas) coming from the poorest parts of Brazil. You'll have a hard time if you're looking for a bloonde with a white complexion or a ruiva (redhead) with blue eyes). Basically, you'll find the same type of garotas : B' girls. That's about it.
The configuation, the selection is different in São Paulo. The garotas are more diversified, classier and, in general more educated and goodl-mannered.
The other difference is in the price. Beside Help and Termas (with their 45 minutes session!) there's not too much to do in Rio (expect the beaches which are Rio's biggest asset). (I'm puzzled when I consider the fact that there's virtually no hobbyists from this board reporting sessions with garotas in boates like Barbarella, for example) Rio is for tourists and the prices are for tourists also...
In São Paulo you can have a decent GFE session (full hour) with garotas in the 8, 9 or (oh lucky bastard!) 10 range. It happens in some privês. If you push your luck, you can even end up with the cell number of the garota and be able to combine a night (or something else) with her for the ridiculous price of 200R$ (compare with the 300R$ for 45 min in a Terma).
There are plenty of things to visit in São Paulo. Bookstore, theaters, shopping center, restaurants are everywhere.
If you feel for a dip in the sea, just take a bus (Jabaquara station) and go to São Vincente, Guaruja or Santos. It's only a 45 minutes ride...the time of a session with an expensive garota in Rio!!!!
Beside the heavy rain that is falling over São Paulo (this year was probably the worst year of all time) I'd like to report another sad news:
Since the beginning of December (more exactly Saturday 12th 2009) Clinica Kin is closed.
They're planning to reopen the joint in January.

Just too bad it doesn't get going til soooooo late (for me anyway).
By the way, I like to hang sometimes at the place across from Kilt, called My Love. I find it much more relaxed and friendlier than Kilt, not to mention less expensive for drinks.
Also, has anyone else happened upon a little free-lance club near the area of these above mentioned strip clubs??
I bumped into a garota, I had met before in one of the strip clubs, walking to this free-lance club and she had me accompany her on her walk to work.

I agree that São Paulo has much more to offer than Rio when it comes to P4P, but Rio also has a decent P4P-scene in Centro which isn't directed to tourists. R$ 1/minute-casas, lots of casas de massagem and VM close by. What I find impressing in São Paulo is the wide range of P4P. At the top the places where GK hangs out, and in the bottom a scene that's so extremely low and trashy that even I wrinkle my nose. Ed Itatiaia, R d Andrades 69, BJ-cinemas and streetwalkers so ugly that they give you goose bumps.
I guess São Paulo beats Rio in all aspects except when it comes to beauty of the city, beaches and easygoing cariocas. I've been in São Paulo many times, but I could never stand the city for more than one week. It's so huge and people stress like they do back home.

In these respects you're damn right.
A couple of years ago I did a trash tour with local friends (the report is on one of the national forum) down there. They made fun of me because I was looking so disgusted. In Rio you have (or had?)the same thing in the streets near Cinêlandia and Praça Maua. Garotas so ugly that you even don't wish to see your worst ennemy sleeping with them.
What is a real pain in the ass in Sampa is the traffic and the weather. This week it's raining cats and dogs.
I've come to terms with the dimension of the city but not with the bad weather.
I hear what you're saying - though apart from the generalised personality trait differences between paulistinas and cariocas, I think I'd probably disagree with everything in your post you've said about Rio. Valid enough as a sort of SP viewpoint, but enough to get you ostracised in the beautiful city of RJ. If anyone is seriously unable to find much to do in RJ please PM me- and I assure you I'm no 'redneck' lol. :)

My POV is probably outdated. In fact, the last time I spend in Rio was in 1986. I know (or knew) the city fairly well at that time (I lived there two years from 1982 to 1984). But already then I had problems with the amount of tourists that were invading the city and the fun spots.
Maybe times have changed but then I was unable to cope anymore with hords of drunken gringos trying to have a session with a garota and unable to utter a simple word in Portuguese.
I think that on this aspect Rio may be worst than before.
But I may be mistaken.
I have been using the search tool to get some info. on apartment rentals in SP. But it is very limited in this forum. Does anyone have any experience or info. with apartment rentals for short term stay ( minimum for 1 week stay, possibly 2 or 3 week stay)?
Is it worth it or is a hotel stay better? 9 out of 10 times I usually rent an apartment when visiting Rio. But I get the impression that it is not as common in SP.
I usually prefer apartments because its more economical, and more privacy. But I would be open to staying in a hotel if it would be more practical and/or cheaper than an apartment. Not sure since I am not familiar with SP. Any thoughts, suggestions, or opinions? Thanks!

Mercure Apartments are definitely the way to go in Sao Paulo. They are about 2x cheaper than in Rio, and usually offer good weekend and long-stay discounts.
There's some 20 branches all over Sao Paulo. The hardest thing is to choose your bairro; Moema, Pinheiros, Jardins and Itaim Bibi/Vila Olimpia are the best choices. Moema is on a refreshingly human scale compared to most other parts of town. The Mercures (3 or 4 branches in Moema) are near to a big mid to upperscale shopping mall (Shopping Ibirapuera), and beside the Ibirapuera Park which is huge, nice, and very clean. There's also many good restaurants in Moema. The only minus of the neighborhood is that it's very remote from Centro P4P nightlife options, and taxis are rather expensive in SP. Pinheiros is an unpretentious and friendly bairro, closer to Centro, with many lively pubs, bars, live music venues, ect and IMHO the best area to stay for a "party-goer", as it is halfway between Republica and Itaim Bibi/Vila Olimpia. Also the Mercure is located on the same street as Bomboa, which is definitely a plus !. Itaim Bibi and adjacent Vila Olimpia are the epicenter of Sao Paulo regular nightlife, with literally hundreds of venues, and you can't be wrong by staying there. Jardins is the equivalent of Leblon in Rio, with lots of posh stores, nice trendy terraced cafes, ect, but few nightlife. Nonetheless it's an enjoyable neighborhood to stroll around during the day, and it's also rather central, which makes it a good option to stay. Another interesting location, where there's also a Mercure, is Bela Vista, which is the new neo-bohemia "in" bairro that goes up, and that have the big advantage to be very central near Paulista (MASP) and Republica (Love Story, Augusta and N.Pestana strip bars, ect) neighborhoods.

As for exploring SP, remember that you can hit one different great P4P place every night, 7 days a week and during 3 monthes without even begin to discover all that the city has to offer. And I'm not even talking about regular nightlife, which is undoubtedly the most various and active on the planet. To chime in the below discussion, compared to Sao Paulo, Rio is a joke.
