STREETS ACTIVITY
Two taxi drivers confirmed the same: in Guayaquil the SWs are only old and ugly (besides the risk of being mugged with scopolamine, which has been an increasing threat last year). They both told me that the only places are 9 Oct (Centenario and till Malecon Salado) and 10 Agosto (P. Que Victoria) , as I reported before. Outside the centre there is nothing.
There are no pelaitas in streets, like in other cities (hmmm Colombia!.)
The best ones are at 9 Oct. With Los Rios, but we are speaking about 4 girls who ask 30$ at late night (checked twice). They are not bad, but I see better ones in Salemane or La 18.
La 18!
Finally I could go there today!
It's a nice experience which I recommend to all good hobbysts! .
La 18 opens at morning and closes at 8pm, more or less. It is a short street, parallel to Milagro (Av. 17) and intersected by Brasil. I guess it is a segment of Salinas, but I cannot be sure. It is closed at both ends by walls (that is, Salinas is interrupted by the two blocks allocated to "La 18".)
I went there today at 6pm and I left after 7pm, after dark, totally disregarding the warnings about avoiding it out of daytime. After all, I was used to walk the center of Medellin after midnight. I doubted here it could be worse.
Taxi fare: 3$ from the center (same to return, pick a taxi from Av. Milagro)
My prudent set up for my first visit: no wallet with credit cards and no watch, dressed down military green, only 20$+20$ in the two pockets. I will do the same also next times.
It's not so bad as I read around, but I definitely recommend to stay away from drunk people and talk as least as possible.
I wish I could go there with a photocamera to take pictures of various characters hanging around, but I don't think I will (neither I recommend anyone to try).
After the first walk up and down, I set down to drink a beer (big bottle 1. 25$). I tried to take it with me to walk around, but I was stopped by the man who served me (what a character!) : it's forbidden to take bottles out. I guess to avoid big fights using bottles as weapons.
The number of casas is small, so the options are not many. However, the girls work for maybe 10 minutes, many times, and you must walk up and down at least 3 times to see most of what's available.
The point is that there is REALLY ANYTHING FOR ALL TASTES!
Old and young: from 40+ down to a few ones in range 18-20, nobody apparently below.
Fat and thin: and I really mean VERY fat or thin like a model!
From white to black: all color grades in between.
The price is regulated and it's always the same for all girls: 7$.
I saw at least young 4-5 girls (18-20, I think) who looked SPECIAL to my eyes! Girls who I expected to meet in expensive bars like in Santa Ana, ready to meet rich foreign tourists. They probably do ALSO that and ask 50$-100$ what they do that, but in "La 18" they ask 7$.
Ok, the service is quite quick and rooms are "minimal", but 7 is 7. For sure La 18 is the place to go.
My experience today is quite good and I think I will be back there also in next days after work, around 7pm.
I believe that many girls do not work there every day. In other words: every day a new world! .
I identified a subset of 4 girls and finally I chose the astonishing one, a true gem. How the hell a girl like her could work in this shithole?
Morenita, thin, like a caribbean beauty, long legs and perfect body, apparenly in range 18-20 (no, definitely not above 20!)
I can only say that in these days there are girls competing for the Miss Guayaquil beauty contest (end of Sept) meeting with the organization in an hotel of the centre. I saw them in the morning, all dressed up and elegant, and they are really beautiful, but this gem in La 18 is way better! I wish I could bring her to the contest and show her to the people "hey folks don't you know you have these jewels here?"
I give her my 20 note, waiting to see if she keeps them all. She takes the note and puts in the purse. We do the business (doggie and missionary). She is quite professional (no, not GFE) , but still nice. At the end, she gives me 13$ change with a smile. I can't believe it and I leave 3$ tip. Was it wrong?
Nice Job. I for one really appreciate the GYE info. I've been waiting for a step by step report for ages. So you're on business and you can get laid. Excellent. I assume GYE is worthless otherwise. La 18 sounds like La Linea in guatemala city. A fun time can be had for pennies but it's not worth a trip just for that.
You the man. Thanks.
La 18 sounds like La Linea in guatemala city. A fun time can be had for pennies but it's not worth a trip just for that.
You the man. Thanks.
Too bad when I went to Guatemala I was too naif and inexperienced to dare. I did not see anything interesting there (Oh! Tikal, yes ;) ). Should I go there now, I would probably find interesting the Zona 1 at night.
GYE worth a trip for mongering?
You must be kidding! This is not really my kind of place. All bars and brothels close at midnight, that is when I usually start feeling right. Till this moment, La 18 seems to me the only place worth visiting in GYE. Too little for a city with millions of people.
Forget it.
The only places I really can think about worth a trip for P4P are in Asia. SLURP! :p
(read my reports from S'pore and Batam)

Barra Bar
After having got laid at 6pm in La 18, I relaxed and worked in my room, hoping in something interesting for the night.
No, GYE still disappoints me at night.
GAY BARS.
I was pointed to the bars of La Zona Rosa by a taxi driver. Supposedly, there should be pelaitas there, hoping to make some cash.
Today it's Monday. All Rocafuerte is empty and lonely (10pm) , but walking at its end I find two nice bars with loud music. Their names sound also appealing to me: La Dulce Vita and something like La Zona. When I enter I realize they are gay bars: lots of teen boys holding and dancing face to face. I leave.
I see now that those blocks are famous and recommended in some Internet guides for gay tourism.
(maybe someone will find this info useful)
D'ANGELLO.
I hit D'Angello Bar (barra type, two Ls yes) , Luque between Garaycoa and 6 De Marzo at 11. 30pm. Typical low-end barra, with chicas to entertain patrons. You can take them away after the bar closes, but it's not their job there.
Beer 1. 25$. Girl drink (beer) 2$. Cheap compared to the Philipinas BMD (BuyMeaDrink) bars of Singapore, which I hate, where a lady drink cost at least 20$, and if you dare a bottle the bill passes 100. Besides that, girls only drink. It's hard to take them to your hotel there.
Twice men as girls. Girls are mostly chubby or fat, except a couple who look interesting to me. Needless to say they are busy.
I seat and drink my beer. Girls there are not pushy and do not self-invite themselves to your table.
Men range from the builder, still dirty of cement and white paint, to some young guys of lower-middle class.
After 30mins, I feel my ass becoming fresher. Before I realize that it is not a normal feeling, I see a big girl coming to me, drying the seat and apologizing for her sister who poured beer there. Nice trick - I think - to start talking to me! I offer her a beer.
She also asks me, after a while: "How did you come here?? How did you know it??" She looks sincerely surprised to see a foreigner there.
At 12 the bar closes and the lights turn on. She invites me to eat some pescado frito with her and her sister, but I opt to go sleeping to my bed.

La 18 #2
I went back to La 18 today, same time 6pm-7pm. If you consider it dangerous at 4pm, it does not look different to me at 7pm.
I confirm the exact address: it is a short street, parallel to Milagro (Av. 17) and intersected by Brasil. It is indeed a segment of Salinas, closed at both ends by walls (that is, Salinas is interrupted by the two blocks allocated to "La 18")
Today at 7pm (dark, I guess it was not a prudent idea) I went on the other side, to see how it looks. On Cuenca, you see a dirty wall, with some concavity left where Salinas was continuing its path, before they decided to allocate this segment to the Zona de Tolerancia. This concavity is full of rubbish and a homeless was sitting there. I quickly went back to Milagro, where at least there are cars and "regular" people.
Taxi fare: always 3$ from the center and same to go back. Best choice is to pick a taxi from Av. Milagro. I think it's interesting to note that taxies do not have meters, but in spite of me being a foreigner nobody ever tried to overcharge me. I even do not ask the price in advance. They spontaneously specify it when we leave.
Always a prudent dress up carefully designed to not give the impression I may have money: rough shirt and pants, not really clean (the clothes, me I am clean) , no watch, no wallet with credit cards etc, only 15$+15$ in the two pockets (lower budget today).
I am attracted by a young teen negrita with perfect body. Bad choice. She is rude and cold to me, she does not take off the bra, she puts TWO condoms on me (she believes it's safer) and then she lays down waiting for me do the business. I gave her 10 (will she give me the change? I wonder) so I don't want to lose and leave. I decide to pump a while, but I do not cum saving my shot for a better girl.
The wonderful teen model of yesterday is still there. I think the place is called Acapulco, to the left and again left entering, in the middle. You cannot miss her because she is really too nice to stay there.
I go with another girl, looking really skinny, I guess in range 20-25. I like skinny girls.
This is another story. I cannot say GFE, but she gives me so much attention, licking, and caressing, etc. that I am surprised.
I ask her phone number. She says she has a bebito and an esposo at home and to call her only at night, not when she works at La 18. I expected the opposite, but I guess her husband must be quite open-minded.

Black Page, thanks for the excellent reports and details.

How poor is this forum!
Today I really understood how poor is this forum regarding reporting useful information to newbies. I had the chance to talk with 3 different taxi drivers and I collected some more information.
Besides the many details reported unprecisely (I pointed out a few in a previous post) , let me just highlight the following.
1) The discobar reported as "Salemane" is named instead "Salomé"!
How the heck is it possible to mangle a word so wild?
AND, besides this, many people added information and discussed about this place, never realizing (apparently) that its name was Salomé.
Now, imagine some member who trusts this forum, comes to GYE, and ask a Taxi driver to take him to Salamane, or Saliman, or even SALAMI  (yes, there is a post even naming it that way...).
I can imagine the face of the driver  .
2) If one reads the forum (years of posting), he gets the impression that in GYE the only possibilities to monger are: La 18, El Gato, El Imperio, La Isla, some (ugly) SWs. Does anybody has the impression that this is too few for a city with 2 millions people?
Talking with just those taxi drivers I knew that on the Perimetral there are at least 30-40 cheap chongos, not to mention other 3-4 clubs in the centre, which are reachable on foot or by taxi for a small fee. Warning: the chongos on the Perimetral can be more dangerous than La 18, because being out of city they may not see the police for a long time, and there is lots of people with weapons around.
I wish Tungurahua would have been here exploring the area (but we cannot ALWAYS rely ONLY on Him to get some detailed information on a place)
PS: a driver told me today that the situation at La18 has been improved a lot in these years regarding security. Some years ago, he told me, "casi cada dia matavan a uno en la calle..."

I newer went in.
I guess that BP says, that there are lots of other places in GYE.
1) The discobar reported as "Salemane" is named instead "Salomé" How the heck is it possible to mangle a word so wild?
That could be Jackson's suck ass "autocorrecting" software at work. If you use the accent marks "correctly," his autocorrecting software will often go back and fuck it up. Here I am going to correctly spell the capital of Paraguay, which is Asuncióand. His software will fuck it up.
I wrote Asunción and so you can see above how it came out. You are not perfect either as the last sentence in your post clearly shows.

I wrote Asuncióand and so you can see above how it came out. Plus you messed your last sentence all up so you are not perfect either.
I fully agree on the assessment of the Jackson's suck-ass software.
Re. Salimane/Salami, it has been cited countless times in this forum, and always with such odd names. Nobody ever wrote a warning about its real name. Here, it is known as Salimane.
On the other hand, I don't understand why you say I messed up my last sentence. My last sentence is Spanish, not a messed up sentence.
-
"casi cada dia matavan a uno en la calle."
Try: casí cada theía mataban a uno en la calle. You have three errors in one sentence. Your Spanish is messed up.
So you can also see how the suck ass software sucks because I wrote "día" and it came out "theía."
"Casí cada día mataban a uno en la calle" is correct.
"D" gets "corrected" to "the", "n" gets "corrected" to "and," the software will take out the space after the period if the last word in the sentence is bolded, and so forth. It fucks up more than it ever corrects.
But hey, the forum is free. Thanks, Jackson, for the free forum.

How much is a taxi to get there and can you take a public bus to get there? Also worth knowing is if you can walk from one to another when you get there?
Knowing the ones in the city center is a must! I am excited but not too excited due to poor chongo experiences in quito. However hearing about possible new affordable locations is promising and welcomed.
Good work and thank you for posting. I hope you get to see more places.

El Imperio
Today I set up for hitting La 18 for the third time, but then I changed my mind when I saw it was 7pm. Grab a taxi and let's go to check El Imperio.
Taxi fare: 7$ to go, but only 6$ to return (by an unofficial driver on a poor damaged car).
Entrance fee: 25c (an ISG member here was apparently overcharged 100%).
Chica fee: 7$
El Imperio is not what I expected. Actually, I was down-dressed: too wild for the place. Luxury cars were parked out. The security selects the people at the entrance. Inside, a mix of workers out from the factory, still in heavy-duty uniform, young people like university students, some people better dressed, some with even a watch or a tie.
A stage in the middle for shows. 24 doors at the 4 walls, only 6-8 girls (variable looking) for maybe 50-80 men.
At 7:30pm, a guy with dark skin, dressed like Michael Jackson begins a dance show. He dances on MJ music like him and he is fantastic. Then he dances like a robot etc.
I think it's very sad that a real talent like him has to work in this place. Finally she collects good tips, but he deserves a better stage.
After 2 hours sitting and 2 beers, I moved to the girl I liked and she refused me. Unbelievable. She explained she did not want because I looked borracho. I understood that my look designed for La 18 here was not well tuned. I changed my approach and I convinced her that I am a good guy.
Inside, she asked a tip to remove the bra and tried to get more for a longer experience. I initially agreed to give her 10$ for the bra and good service, then after a while we had some discussion about an extra tip for the extra time, while we were busy doggie style. The discussion lasted a good 5 minutes, which was the extra time I needed, while I did not give her more than the 10$ I gave initially.
Good experience, including the discussion doggie style about the tip for the extra time.
Outside, on the other side of the parking lot, there is a "privado", entrance fee 5$ (incl. 2 beers).
Supposedly, it should be better and with better girls, but it is a small place, with only 2 girls, who of course are the same you can meet in the "public" place.
I would not go there again. The public place is where to go.

How are you enjoying the city itself and the food? Are costs reasonable?
Sorry to throw a barrage of questions at you but you are best reporter from GYE that we've had.

Thanks
Once more, the city is a normal city of this part of the world, I enjoy the food and the costs are low, but I would not come here just for the pleasure of staying, eating or partying here. Besides all, all bars close at 12pm, and the center is lonely and silent after 9pm except on weekends.
It's possible to have fun here, as everywhere except in USA or Western Europe, but lots of care and time to explore are needed.
