While I take advantage of opportunities just like any other red-bloodied male, I take a hard line on the Secret Service agents' Columbia caper. If you have prostitutes, you will have cocaine, etc. The agents went to Cartagena to protect the president and not party. End of story.
Lighten up Francis.
Let the agent have some fun on his down time.
"if you have prostitutes, you will have cocaine, etc"
Really? Of course not.
If you have prostitutes, you will almost certainly get laid. End of story.

Great response. I wonder if our friends Sandra and Claudia got in on the action. Could have been big bucks for the street girls that stay at the Atlantis. I laugh when I picture a dozen agents walking into LDV with their sun glasses and trench coats and trying to be cool talking up the girls. I bet they overpaid also. I know it is not reality, but on a rainy Saturday morning, I need a laugh.
I better be careful what I write about them, because they could show up at my doorstep by lunch time.
"One of the agents did not pay one of the prostitutes, and she complained to the police," said Ronald Kessler, a former Washington Post reporter and author of "In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes With Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect."

This is CO-LOM-BI-A, not the USofA where the domestic LE doesn't have to pay for the "services."
I wonder if any of them is dumb enough to put LDV on their expense reports.
If you have prostitutes, you will have cocaine, etc.
I am author of 570 reports on ISG. If the average is 2-3 reports per experience, I have reported about 250+ experiences with working ladies (gosh! I never counted! ). I never tried cocaine in my life though. Thumbs up for those guys out of the sex prison.
PS: and yes, learn this is COLOMBIA. In Columbia you go to prison if you give 50 bucks to a girl.
Yeah, guys, have it your way. But these Secret Service guys have destroyed their careers. And rightly so. For getting involved with prostitutes in a country where drug gangs dominate. Through their stupidity they committed a major security breach and made themselves and their mission vulnerable. A punter may not understand this because he is only after pussy and not protecting the president. 'Nuff said.

Talking $$ AFTER the deed is done instead of before, making a scene instead of handing over money to end a bad situation quietly, drinking too much to be able to think cleaerly and protect yourself, allowing police involvement etc etc. There are lessons to be learned. These guys probably see it the same way by now. Ruining their careers was not worth saving money or "showing who is in charge." Some of the lucky ones will probably be able to get away with demotions and suspensions but some of them are fucked. They are going to wind up in low end private security jobs and possibly lose their government pensions.

Very disappointing to know some of our very best suffer from "dum cop" syndrome.
Every once in a while, I notice a poster on the board who appears to be writing from many different locales. I wonder what kind of cool job he has that enables to work, make money, and travel to various exotic locales to sample the local talent. Perhaps, the answer is we have some SS guys on ISG?
Since, it has been reported that twelve were sent home, we can expect a Judas in the group. I think we can expect more tawdry revelations as the investigation proceeds. Who knows, maybe they will subpoena ISG reports. Now, that would be fun.
Another story said 12 were sent home. How'd ya like to be on Bill Clinton's detail? Now that's some nice work. But under any administration, this has probably been going on for a long long time.
This is what happened, according to the Wall Street Journal's detailed report that may be found at wsj. com:
"The Secret Service agents were caught when one of the women stayed in an agent's room past 7 a.m. in violation of hotel policy, said Rep. Peter King (R, N. Y.) , chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, which oversees the Secret Service. That agent initially refused to open his door for the hotel manager, which prompted the manager to call the police, who later reported the incident to the USA embassy, Mr. King said."
It was during this time that the woman refused to leave, claiming she had not been paid.
Thought I would look here to get a sense of the damage done by some of "America's best"! These knuckleheads are obviously green to the hobby, and I would suspect, not ISG card carrying members. At a minimum, you'd think they understood the true meaning of the word "secret"! Everything about this episode seems amateurish, from the wolf-pack approach to mongering, to bedding down in the same hotel as one's boss, to being oblivious to potential media scrutiny. Seems to me that it would have been much easier to pay more just to get rid of the girl, qietly! Any early home returnees will certainly have some sxplanin to do!
NYTimes' version a tad different sequence of events:
"The woman apparently began causing a disturbance in the hallway, eventually bringing other Secret Service agents — as well as a small number of law enforcement and military officials working with them on security and communications matters — out of their rooms and attracting the attention of hotel management and security."
I wouldn't be shock if the CIA are pulling these guys travel history right now and are sending a team out to interview local pimps and hookers and showing them these guys pictures to see have they paid or didn't paid for hookers services and what ages were they. They are going to dig deep into these guys past travel history by checking their passports stamps, phone calls, PC hard drives. You name it this is only the tip of things to come.
I am sure this wasn't the 1st time these guys was out hunting for hookers when they were on duty.
Kid Cisco
All this because the guy thought she was a "non-pro". Also, he probably had plenty of "game". A fitting punishment would be to banish him to the US for life.

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/14/world/americas/colombia-summit-secret-service/?hpt=hp_t2
that makes sense. its not in the nature of secret service guys to stiff people. the poor fool probably had no experience with working girls and handled it like an idiot when the bill came due. somebody should send him an email to rtff and wise up.
