San Peter Apartment Suites. Laureles
On my last trip, I stayed at the San Peter Apartment Suites in Laureles. The place is popular among gringos. I thought it was a decent place. It has a kitchen with a stove, microwave, sink, and frig. It also has a washer. There is a separate bedroom. The bathroom is fine except that water temperature is hard to control. It seems to be cold or very hot. The girls did not like that. Ja ja ja. It was guest friendly and I had no problems with girls visiting me. I did not have any threesomes so I can't report on two girls coming at the same time but girls coming on the same day at different times was not a problem.
All in, it was about $50 a night. I booked thru Agoda and you have to pay San Peter directly when you arrive. They surprised me by saying cash only, no credit card so you need to hit those ATMs to pay the bill upfront. They did give me an extra day to pay. They said only on Airbnb could you pay by credit card but there is an additional charge when you book through Airbnb.
The biggest issue is probably noise at night. There is a bar connected to the hotel / apt but I think it is the nightclub next door that is the issue. Music blaring until 2 am or so. I don't know because when I am tired, I just sleep right through the music and I am dead to the world. If you are a light sleeper, it could be a problem. That was my room. Maybe there are rooms less noisy. I don't know.
The guys staying at the place are very friendly and I spoke to a number of guys when I am in the lobby or in the elevator. It is like a small version of the Mansion because most of the guys staying there are there for the purpose.
Very close to the 70 where there are a lot of restaurants, bars, a supermarket, banks, money exchanges and everything you need as a gringo visitor. No streetwalkers though. There are some prepagos that are located in nearby apartments in Laureles based on some research but I did not partake.
There is only one elevator so it could take a while at times. 17 floor building, I think.
All the receptionists are older women and they are very nice. There is one person who does not speak English but the rest of the ladies seem to speak English.
I thought it was decent place to stay but the night time noise may be an issue for some.
