From this I will deduce you're an american.
very relevant to the purpose of this site, but "assumptions are the mother of all f-ups" and further if you would have carefully read the spelling of my name you would have been able to "deduce" that english is not my first language, well, ok, I could have been an dyslectic American of course :).
And aren't we all Americans after 9/11 ?
Deduce on brother, another 200+ countries to go :).
Shooters is always packed.
The Arena bar does pretty good for itself too. I don't know if they are keeping the pro's and semi pro's out of the disco, probably not. Irish Lad?
Hi,
Arena bar still keeping the "obvious" girls out but has recently eased off on what you might call the semi's. Not sure about the disco as I refuse to go to there.
However, a new strip bar opens up in Arena in a few weeks where the casino used to be which might be related to recent events.
With regards to success in Kiev Bez. All those answers could be true. Not enough Russian, time or game is a factor, impossible to explain on a case by case basis wthout being witness but I still stand by my "success rate in Kiev is 20 times success rate at home formula". Indeed, since the crisis, pulling has become much easier still.
I do however feel that expectations are sometimes too high.

About prices, about prices, about prices... Why do men have no ideas about prices? Or, better, the right prices? It is like to place orders in stock markets around the world with no ideas about currencies and shares!
Some examples: I have found one of your so-called semi-prostitutes (because freebies are totally free for their own definition) for 700 grivnas / overnight (10 hours). Over the www, you read full-time prostitutes for 2500/3000 grivnas / overnight (10 hours). I can't rewrite my previous posts, but it is the customer's duty to ask for the BASIC full service (karolevski miniet, pussy and ass with condom). Of course, almost all prostitutes will reply: "ooohh, I always use condom" or "ooohh, I never have anal sex" or "ooohh, night is 4 hours" or "that is not 2500 but 4000 grivnas" or lies, lies, lies! All prostitutes around the world are used to make the filthiest things beyond any imagination.
Is there the crisis in Kiev too? Yes? OK, keep hard in negotiating, never loose a grivna (or dollars but NEVER in euros), if she doesn't agree, then you invite her to go away, sometimes she will change idea, sometimes she will go away, but, remember, in Kiev there are thousands of alternatives awaiting for you, why to waste money for one/two stupid women?
N. B. In Italy, the karolevski miniet by a young Romanian woman is quoted 20/30 euros = 200/300 grivnas. And Italy is in the "rich" Western Europe.

Elections
Am interested in anybody's opinion about how the election result will effect RP and other venues in Kyiv?
Any comments?
Will anything change as a result for the better or worse?

High Class girls?
Hello!
I will be in Kiev in May for a long weekend. I search currently girls (between 18 and 25), dark hair and brown skin with big bo.. Overall high class. I am willing to pay high rates. However in mamba. Ru I can not find what I am looking for.
Where could I find them in the internet? (Agencies, contact portals.)
In which clubs I will find them in Kiev? (What are the best adresses to find nice girls in Kiev?)
Thank you

No change, the three players are all a slighty different version of the same thing. And all billionaires to boot, imagine that.

Thank you
You might want to look in the escort section of the Ukraine forum. Not to get off thread here but you could look at http://www.gia.com.ua/ if you are not concerned with paying higher rates or the other assortment of escort agencies recommended like top models. It all depends if you want to have it lined up before you go or you want to find your pleasure while in country. I am sure the others will add what they think.

I will add to this very interesting request the following: prices and rate of exchange in our favour? I mean going down and cheaper for us?. Girls attitude for their future there? desperates more than before to travel abroad and look for better chances?

Yushenko was a disaster for Ukraine... let's see how Yanukovich... the "new and improved" Yanukovich... turns out.
If he is successful, the grivna will gain some strength, Ukraine will improve relations with Russia and Ukraine will still maintain a positive relation to the EU.
America could be the loser in this scenario, as Yushenko was a US stooge and a very poor one at that.
Nonetheless, the 2008 crash and the ongoing problems are enough for this generation to also realize that life in Ukraine won't be improving dramtically soon.
The current generation of devs however will never reach the desperation of the 90's dev. Them were some very hard and uncertain times. I don't see the desperation level going all the way back to that terrible (for the monger good) state.
It's all pure speculation though, time will tell.

With Yanukovich situation will improve in Ukraine. Also with new prime minister who is Ukrainian by nationality but is great russofile and can speak like 5 words in ukrainian language.
Somebody watched Yanukovich's two hour interview on russian TV recently?
The point what the guy said is:
- Ukraine will maintain good relations with EU and USA but above all with Russia as the closest and most important partner. What Ukraine needs is in Russia (gas and oil) and the bigges market for ukrainian products is in Russia.
- Military: russian Black Sea fleet will remain in Sevastopol for a long time.
Ukraine's bill for russian gas is big and if there can't be some agreement Ukraine is ready to turn some military assets (probably air force) to Russia as payment. The same happened 1998 when Ukraine gave all their strategic bombers to Russia as gas payment.
- New government will take actions against those who under suspicious conditions sold arms to Georgia or went there as instructors, mercenaries, whatever.
- In Ukraine russian language will be fully protected by new government opposed from previous government which was trying to push it back. On the other hand Russian will translate two TV channels into ukrainian language but only when full digitalisation of russian TV channel start. First to see how many people in Russia speaks ukraininan and use it every day's life (the number is probably very small if non at all - my opinion).
- Since there are many russian citizens living in Ukraine (all Russians living in Ukraine have russian citizenship also) russian government and companies will invest in Ukraine to increase the cultural standard and living standard of its citizens.
- Ukraine will start war on criminal on every kind including prostitution by changing the laws and introducing more strict sentences. Russia will help in building new prisons in Ukraine (he he). As Ukraine hopes for free visa regime with EU, among other demands EU wants Ukraine to take care of sex industry and trafficking in Ukraine which will be done with "firm hand" as Yanukovich said. In Ukraine Yanukovich is pictured as women protector. In his youth he was sentenced to jail for heavily beating some local low lifes who were molesting a young girl, sister of his friend.
Yanukovich goal is to improve the look of Ukraine by 2012 when euro football starts. Russia will invest money in region where Russians live, which is east Ukraine with Donbas, Lugansk, Kharkov, etc. Doubt they will invest anything in western Ukraine like Lvov. So in time economic situation can improve in east Ukraine which will produce less new talents for the Kiev scene from that area. In the same time economic situation on the west can go down which can be good for mongering. So guys there's a chance that Lvov can be good mongering place in the near future with more reports here on the forum.
Talking about p4p something will probably be done about it, at least cleaning the streets and reducing the numbers (which could increase prices). Maybe RP can be in trouble. But there will always be freebies so the best is to start learning more of russian language. I fully agree with DS 90's are long gone and that time will never be back. Under Yanukovich Ukraine will turn more into "serious" state but only time will tell. Yanukovich is going to Belarus to meet Lukashenko probably to get some tips how to do things. But as we all know when talking about p4p some things never change. Ukraine was good for p4p 25 years ago during soviet times when things were much different, so why it shoudln't be today also. Under Yushenko, Yanukovich or whatever Y is the president.
Sorry for long post anyway.

Instead, thank you very much for your detailed post.
Whatever can happen in the next future in Ukraine, the sex market is always depending on ask and bid, if most customers are ready to pay high money, then prices go up also in an economic crisis, and vice versa. I am seeing a similar situation in Italy, police are catching road prostitutes every two nights, but prices haven't gone up, and some prostitutes have halved prices to get more customers. Anyway, it remains an enigma: Ukrainians have disappeared in Italy!

In Kiev, there are still several ads for escort services in english language What's On. But those ads are only in english papers. In other Ukraine cities newspapers, there are no 'obvious' ads for escort services, and the 'non-obvious' advertisements, in the Introductions section, there are very few escort services at all. They are really just a few apartments with a few ugly or fat skanks. There's a few street ho's downtown at night, mostly junkies or ugly skanks at the underground entrances or bus stops.
I wouldn't call this level of prostitution, anything that requires much law enforcement. What ever minor level that is, they are already paying the police their cut to operate. There is another hidden level that provides service to oligarchs, that you and I will never be able to find, cause its not in the newspaper or internet or on the street. Its probably in the nightclubs where the oligarchs hang out.
The main difference is that what little you will see outside of Kiev, its already very very on the DL in Ukraine, except for ads for tourists in Kiev. But in Russian cities, there's plenty of escort service ads in the russian newspapers. So cracking down on what nearly doesn't exist, seems like an empty promise. Unless you're talking about trafficking, to send girls OUT of Ukraine.

Yeah, umm, Kurenda, things aren't going to change. Well that's not quite true, the thing that is going to change is that the bank account of Yanukovich and his cronies is going to go up.
Yanukovich is view as a lot of things in Ukraine, it all depends on whose propaganda you are reading. I've never read in any credible news source that his jail time in his youth had to do with protecting a woman. Quite a noble fantasy his PR firm cooked up.
Yushenko wasn't a US stooge at all - he tried to portray himself as allied with America. Which generally got a head scratch and a shrug from the US government. Although W did visit there during the end of his term - one of the few places he could visit without mass demonstrations, which is exactly why he stopped in Ukraine. Yushenko did however become a billionaire while president of the Ukraine, go figure. The Cold War is over, the FSU was exposed as a paper tiger. Except for what they have in the ground America doesn't care about Russia or Ukraine.

If Yanukovich starts a "war" on prostitution, it will be a phony one.
In my experience, strict laws in EE are not made to force compliance, but are an Orwellian game to exact greater tributes or greater control over those who live outside of them (ideally everyone).
Besides, trying to eliminate prostitution in a failing economy is stupid economic policy - prostitution is a social safety net for a large strata of the population who have little else to sell.
As for ignoring western Ukraine leading to a monger's paradise, I doubt it.
I visited Lvov recently and while I did not have the opportunity to give it a fair try, I can say that finding P4P or semi-pros was very difficult. Sure a diminishing economy will bring out a few more, but if there is not a pre-existing culture of girls selling themselves, it will not spring into full bloom any time soon. There are many very poor places on earth where prostitution is still frowned upon and mostly "underground". Whereas we all probably know ordinary girls in Kiev (and Moscow and Rio and ???) who sell their asses for fun and profit, and their mothers and friends know all about it and it is pretty much accepted.
However, I agree with Kurenda that freebies will be a better market in the future. I had the sense, post-Orange Revolution, that young people believed (at least a little bit) in the future of Ukraine and were not as eager to sell their asses for visas to Europe or America. By now they must have been disabused of that naive notion and as eager as ever to get the hell out, knowing that no political white knight is going to save them. So I think many girls will come back to the idea of a foreigner rescuing them from the mess which Ukraine continues to be.
