Build it and they will come.
I often read complaints about how Rio is changing to the worse.
# Gringos: Because of Brazil has become more expensive there are much less gringos. That's a good thing for the gringos who still go there. Less competition for the girls and less gringos driving up the prices.
I was recently in Rio and had a great trip as always, all different from previous trips, nothing went perfect, had many mishaps but overall I can't wait to get back, it's still a fabulous place.
I had lunch in Meia Pataca 2 times only because it was close to me. One time I looked around and noticed that the place was full of business people, families and young Brazilians having a meal, no putas or mongers except me.
My waiter was a veteran of the place so I asked him how he likes the current situation. He told me that since Help closed and the dollar is so weak there are no more Gringos / tourists in Rio. As a result of that there are no more girls. The reason why there are no girls here at Meia Pataca is because there are no mongers buying their product.
He told me he misses the old days when the place was packed with mongers and putas and 30 or 40 putas were circling meia pataca looking for business.
Same for the touts on Ho beach, most of them are gone but I told them why should I sit here and drink a beer at 7 reais when I can go next door for 3 reais. They told me special price for you 4 reais. I said plus you have that thief here Jose at CiCi barraca because of him I would never sit in this area.
As long as there will be girls in Rio I will find them, I never leave any stone unturned.
Looking for a surfing spot combined with night life in Brasil
Greetings Gentlemen!
I am planning my first trip to Brasil and need your advice.
What I want is to find a place with surfing activities in Brasil. I mean surfing spots with surfing schools for the beginners. I have googled two places of this kind in Brasil: one is called Santa-Katarina or something, and another one is located very close to Rio. Could you provide me with some information about destinations of this kind: which place to choose, what about nightlife there, what about hotel prices, and of course what about garotas there?
Apart from surfing of course I want to visit Rio. A small problem is that I will probably land in Sao-Paolo and then go to Rio by bus.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
