I'm not making light of this
The denial of entry in the case of Soliver has nothing to do with him having 300 euros or not. It was because of their race or their face not fitting.
These are meant to be enlightened times. Many people have died for the right to say something different to another person.
A great country once fought a bloody Civil War over such issues.
Please do not turn back the clock. Although given some comments here I think some actually yearn for those times before. So sad.
This is, indeed, a problem.
The Seinfeld episode, if you are familiar with it, featured a character who randomly denied soup to customer entering his soup takeout place. And when George complained he didn't get any bread with his soup, the character charged him more, for example.
The randomness of GT's policies is disconcerting. What triggers it? So far we've not been able to figure out.
If they continue along this path then they should pay the consequences. There is no shortage of clubs out there.
This club is not easy to get to without a car. Combine this with the randomness of their acceptance policies and it will be a long time before I return to it. I am not a fan of large clubs anyway.
last post on this subject....honest
I didn't want to reply to the obviously "problematic" way of thinking by warsteiner but since lbc said something about it I now feel easier about it. As I said earlier GT has a right to refuse entry, all I asked for was a simple "thank you we are too full". Is that too much to ask? I was angry about the attitude not the action. Since they can fill the place up they simply do not care. I have seen this with night clubs, bouncers will act like they won't even let the president in when business is good, but 2 years later when another place opens and becomes popular the attitude of the bouncers and doormen will change right away becoming much kinder and human. This is the way of the world and it will happend with GT also, I was just telling everyone what happened to me as this is a FORUM.
About warsteiners comments agreeing to this door policy, saying arab/turkish comminity now go elsewhere. I want to thank him for opening my eyes once again to the ignorance all around us. I didn't even want to bring the conversation to this saying it was the explanation I had a problem with but here we are anyway. If "Turks" are causing a problem it does not mean you should stop letting a whole group of people. What about the people like me who go there, don't cause any problems, spend a ton of money on girls and drinks without being loud or anything else. The answer is, IF THERE IS SOMEONE WHO CASUES A PROBLEM, TURKISH GERMAN BLACK whatever, you tell them to get out of the club and ban them from the premises. A pre-entry selection based on race, language, color is just the fast lane to having more problems in the future. I for one agree that it is probably the younger guys getting drunk causing trouble. Can you tell me that a drunk 24 year old brit knows how to handle himself better than a turk? Because I have seen them cause a lot of fights. I don't blame the whole british nation and its people for it. Really what else can I say to this person who thinks a selection based on race is quite allright, other than to tell him to f himself and have a nice life.
I apologise if I upset you but some clubs do discriminate on race and that's just the way it is. Several years ago I used to live in Berlin and my friends and I (all white) tried to get into a night club in the city centre and we were refused entry. No reason was given, we were dressed correctly and weren't drunk but we noticed that other men (all black) were allowed into the club. After speaking with a couple of girls about the situation they advised that it is a 'black' club and all of the women who go into the club go there to meet black men. Did we complain about this and have a good whinge? No, we went to one of the other 100 or so clubs in the city.
There have been plenty of posts on this board about the entry policy for GT so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone to be refused entry if you are of a certain appearance. You should either avoid this club completely or have a backup plan and drive to PHG/VV/LR, etc.
Roman Party of 13 September
Has anyone attended a Roman porn party on Saturday, 13 September? What was the action like? Could any guest have a not-covered blow job by a porn star or have sex with her?
Thanks
