If I were to want to indulge in a stimulant is it easy enough to come by it at BB's? Or without venturing too far afield?
Not that I know of. You probably need to venture into Sosua for that.
If I were to want to indulge in a stimulant is it easy enough to come by it at BB's? Or without venturing too far afield?
The hotel has had a strict policy prohibiting illicit substances on the premises. There's a lot of money invested in the place, and they will not put it at risk. Yes, ask around in Sosua, etc, but keep it off the premises at BB.
In some countries, it may lead to a jail time or a bribe.

Or without venturing too far afield?
To beat this dead horse a little more, there are posters on the board who indulge in stuff like weed, but again, doing so in a Third World country like this may not be worth the potential penalties. I suggest you solicit private input via Personal Messaging, and they can tell you how they manage it. Try the Sosua thread, in particular.
I will be in DR around Christmas and will stay at BB. I am a first timer so I think it will be perfect for me. I was wondering if one can take 2 girls to his room. If so, what can be expected?

But if you take two straight girls they may work on you simultaneously* but not do anything to each other. Best select a bi-girl (mamasan will help) and let her select her partner.
*I said "may work on you simultaneously". They may also work on you in turn while the other fiddles with her smart phone. The other problem with two girls at once is it is harder to keep an eye on your stuff.
Thanks for the quick response!
I was wondering if there was an ATM machine close by, since everything needs to be paid in cash and the fact that I don't want to carry a significant amount when I arrive.

If you wish to do this as you first arrive, ask your taxi-driver to pause for a few minutes.
In my day the nearest ATM was at a garage on the highway. Not too convenient, and potentially dangerous after dark. I hope BB regulars can update this info?
The name of the market is Jenny's and they now have an ATM outside.
Yes, but Wendy sounds nicer. After all, mongers are little boys who never grow up.
Good news about the ATM.
Bb is quoting me 45 $ for airport pickup. Can I use Uber instead? If so what is the going rate?
Also, if I don't take BB's pickup, can a regular cab be negotiated down?
The name of the market is Jenny's and they now have an ATM outside.
I used to regularly change a few hundred dollars at a time at Jenny's. Always a very good exchange rate, too. Its just me, but I prefer to do so in private, in the office in back. I also used the opportunity to buy a few items, like bottles of water, etc, and left like any customer. Crime is not a problem in Costambar, but I dislike peeling out a few hundred dollars worth of pesos from an ATM in public view. But that's just my preference.

The distance to Costambar is comparable on the map. You might be able to negotiate a cab down to that from the airport. One of the expats living in the area may be able to provide you with a contact number for someone.

The most you are going to negotiate a taxi down to is $35. If 10 bucks is that important to you call Carlos, he might do it for $35 depending on on his schedule, his number is 829 918 1172.
