Thank you,
Yellow Fever shot is suggested for aklmost all of Carib coast, but for the guys who never leave the city (the majority) TOTALLY unnecessary IMHO.
Ngp has it right on. I have never seen a massage parlor in CTG. Casas are the closest thing. They have back rooms for play or you can take-out(for a fee to the house). Pleyboy is about the best, but it is too pricey for me. Others open and close with regularity. Ask any cabbie. I haven't been to a casa in over two years.
Does anyone know if there is a good map of Cartagena available such as the one that Moondog put together for BsAs? I found a decent one, but of course there are not any P4P places marked on the map.
I would appreciate it if someone would recommend one to me that is something similar to Moondog’s BsAs maps. Here’s the link to the one that I found, if anyone is interested (it’s decent, but no P4P):

See my previous post and Ngp's. All you really need is LDV, the street and the beach.
Hi Tom 33,
I have added that info to my notes. Doesn't sound like a map is necessary for Cartagena, otherwise there would be one floating around by now. Thanks again for your help, senor.
What about street walkers in Cartagena?
Young and Restless,
I also always try to find a good map before heading to any new destination. Cartagena was a challenge to find anything worthwhile. I did pick up a small guidebook from Ullysses Due South on Cartagena. It has several excellent maps of Boca Grande, Laguito, and the walled city. LDV is not on the Laquito map, but Hotel Las Velas is which I understand is across the street. I ordered mine from Amazon for $10. It also has excellent descriptions of all the cultural sights, beaches, and restaurants. I will be in Cartagena July 9th thru the 16th if any one wants to hook up.
Thanks

What about street walkers? Hay muchas. Just smile and say "Hola." They will let you know if they want to play. Remember, however, that you must approach them. The police take a dim view of open solicitation. The majority of tourists are Colombian families.

Hi Captain44,
Just now saw your post... I'll look into the guide you mentioned. I bought a general South America Guide put out by Insight Guides and when it comes to Colombia, it is everything but insightful. They have designated 20 out of 352 pages for Colombia. Out of those 20 pages on Colombia, an entire 2 ½ pages are about Cartagena.
I knew that it wouldn’t be too hard to find, but thanks for giving me an idea about where LDV is located. I’m pretty sure that I’ll be spending quite a bit of my time there (hehehe).
Is this going to be your first time in Cartagena? Look forward to reading how your trip goes.

Hola, everyone!
I am planning on making a trip to Colombia in early September. I am really interested in seeing Medellin, but I do plan to make a side trip to Cartagena. I gather that the action in Medellin is kinda slow on Sundays, so I am thinking of leaving for Cartagena on a Sunday, and maybe stay there until Tuesday or Wednesday. How is the action in Cartagena from Sunday to Tuesday or Wednesday? Specifically, I am interested in visiting the famous LDV. And maybe hunt around in the beach.
Gracias.
Sunday night is usually a good night. Mondays are a little slower, but still ok. Then it starts to pick up again on Tuesday. The beach is usually dead during the week.
Ask any taxi to take you to LDV.
A few observations from a trip in June to Cartagena --
1. Sofitel Santa Clara is not a good place for a monger. The price is ridiculous -- $300 per night with taxes included. While the service is impeccable, the equal of any I've experienced anywhere, the price is out of whack for Colombia. Also there's a nasty walk of shame. I only spent one night there.
2. Others have recommended getting an apartment from Mery Salence, with Torre Centauro properties(tel. 52 57 5 655 0384; email: oficerna@yahoo.com). She doesn't just lease at Torre Centauro properties, but has a number of up market apartments owned mostly by gringos, I think. I came at the last minute (thus the room at Sofitel first night) and she managed to get me a couple of nice apartments during my stay. Another advantage -- if something goes wrong, she's going to help you out. She a very nice, helpful person.
3. La Dolce Vita is fantastic. Stay there a while and you're going to come across some stunners. And GFE is the rule instead of the exception. I came across one, Diana, that not only was about an 8-1/2, a morena Paris Hilton look alike, but also I couldn't stop her from cooking and cleaning my clothes. Right now 150,000 pesos seems to be what women at LDV want, but they'll take less.
Has anyone ever checked out 2 girls for all night from here? Just wondering if the girls would tolerate eachother and do lesbian action or would they get jealous of the other one?
Yes, in fact I just spend 7 days in Cartagena mongering with 4 girls from LDV, 3 non pros from La Castellana mall, and 1 girl from Cafe Del Mar. As far as a three some. It is actually quite common, than you might think. It is up to you, to make them feel comfortable. How can you make them feel comfortable? LDV girls work in packs. They are partnered with one other room mate or 3-4 girls that are there on vacations. Quote, unquote. So, as long as you are up to their standards on looks, and the comfort level is high. They will certainly be ok with that. For the people that are paying $120k and higher, please stop doing so. I don´t know what your financial situation is, that is great if you can afford it, as I can. But, I never pay anything over than $80k for an all nighter. In fact, I have taught 2 other mongers than went with me on this trip, that never ever discuss price when you are with a pay for play girl. You have to understand that the average LDV girl, from her previous experience, if she had a real job, would make 350k colombian pesos a month. You control the transaction. Right now, there are more women than men, anytime any of these girls, discuss price, I am brutally honest with them, that if they mention money again, they are out of here. Please do not over pay. Check the non pro action, all over the city, venture out of Boca Grande, El Laguito, and El Centro. Even at El Centro, walk down the streets in Santa Teresa, San Diego. Check Barrio Chile, Barrio Paraguay, El Castellan. university girls abound, and they are right for the pìcking. This is in Cartagena. Imagine the other cities in Colombia. ie (Medellin, Cali, Perreira, Armenia, Bucaramanga, Villavicensio, Bogota) Oh, I am in Medellin right now. just having a blast as usual. I wanted to give my 2 cents, as this site, has provided some great insights on our mongering profession. It has made my vision clear, on what expectations is all about. I have been visiting Colombia since 2002, when I was 27. I can't even imagine, what it would feel like when I turn 50. Have fun guys, and please. Do not over pay.
