Lap Dancer,
Strange name, but of course you dance for the opposite sex, right.
Anyway, I thought it was a Spanish concern. Knowing how the Canadians can squeeze sugar outta S#%@^t, that just might be better. Regardless of the company's origin, I hope they hit it big -- soon. This could change everything!

If they find oil in Cuba, tourists won't be needed anymore. Remember, when the old USSR was castro's sugar daddy, very few tourists were allowed in, and we Cubans could NOT socialize with them at all. Well, maybe finding oil would be a good thing after all!

Greetings,
I'm leaving for Havana tomorrow:
Wish me luck with the chicas!

Well its official, I just got my refund check from my travel agency. My yearly trip to Cuba is cancelled , flight to Cuba from MIA is cancelled. My visa is cancelled, and worst of all since I went last year, I cant go for 2 more years. Man, aside from the fact that I cant take my family meds,I cant go to my cousins wedding or his sisters quince, all that fine Poon that my cousins had lined up for me at their house on the beach in Miramar is also cancelled. I am a republican, but sometimes I wonder who is worse Bush or Castro. What a bummer !
-
Todad, I feel for you man.
Here's my suggestion: you could get a flight from MIA to Cayman Islands (45 mins south of Havana) for about $300 (I think), then fly Cayman Airways to Havana for US$240. Life's too short to miss a party. Somebody's only quince once in their life.
Cayman is keeping mum about Americans travelling to Cuba. The flights to Cuba are so popular that they've recently expanded flights to 4 times a week and it's really helping the struggling airline.
PM me if you care to share some info about some nice girls, alright?
-
Well, hopefully you and other Cuban-Americans will wake up and smell the Cubita come November!
-
I think we all know what the problem is with Cuba and its ain't the communists there.
-
Wet,
The problem isnt getting there, its getting back. If you get there from the Caymans, and when you get to Marti and they stamp your passport you are screwed. Not to mention the fact that now the Caymans, and Mexico, and Bahamas report all travel logs and passport IDs to the INS, and Dept of State. But there is hope! I heard on the news today that their is a new form to fill out for emergencys etc. if I hear anything else will keep the forum posted.

Hello Felow Mongers,
In order to avoid any kind of problems, just do as I did
cancelled my trip. Its not used to pay US$ 7,500.00 and/or
5 years in jail. All the airlines, repeat all the airlines are
given the US State Department a list of the passengers
that travel to Cuba, those included Cayman, venezuelan
as well as panamenian flag airlines. Do not take a chance,
lets wait ... or better yet let the "pussy" wait for us.
If you guys like inexpensive and good pussy, go to
Argentina ....

Looks like Bush is being more public today about ruining the party!
"Bush Says Castro Welcomes Sex Tourism"
"The regime in Havana, already one of the worst violators of human rights in the world, is adding to its crimes. The dictator welcomes sex tourism," Bush said...
Hoping this does not spell into even more pending State Dept. actions against a place I really wanted to visit for chicas and the culture.

Gentlemen,
I am not American, and I feel sorry for you so you are supposively the most free country in the world yet you can't go to Cuba. This is what I would try to do. I would go to nice long vacation to Canada. I would head straight to Toronto and I would buy the round trip ticket from Cuban airlines to Cuba. I'm sure that they won't report you US authorities. I hope that my suggestion could be realized and that it helps.
Cheers and happy hunting.

I'd like to know: since when is sex tourism a crime? Only paedophilia is a crime, and travelling for it is a crime. But since when is travelling and meeting a consenting adult for sex (albeit paid) a crime?
Is he somehow confusing paedophilia and sex tourism?
[blue]Actually, it's a crime for any American Citizen to travel to a foreign country for the specific pupose of engaging in activities that are illegal in the USA. This includes engaging in prostitution, consuming drugs (both drugs that are "illegal" and "not yet approved" in the USA), undergoing illegal (in the USA) medical procedures, etc.
In the USA, we have perveted the concept of democracy to what it now means to many people: That 51% of the people have the right to tell the other 49% what they can and cannot do.

I think it's more like 2% telling the rest of us what to do, and that includes Dickhead & Co. in the White House (see Patriot Act, see restrictions on travel and money to Cuba, see Enron, see Haliburton, see Fox News Channel).
Since prostitution is legal in some parts of the US (see Nevada), I wonder how that would apply. At any rate, the target of law enforcement (as of this writing!) is only sex tourism for minors, not other adults. I also believe, and I may be wrong, that the age of consent is 18 (for US visitors), even if the legal age is younger in the destination country.

Bush is full of shit , as usual.
Much more sex tourism in Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Ukraine, etc., but bashing those countries doesn't get votes from the Cuban-Americans, and the loony far right. If they found oil in Cuba, you can bet it would be "regime-change" time, and of course Halliburton would get all the contracts.

I heard on Fox News Channel last night that the BushMiester was told by God to decree that it is illegal for Americans to travel to Nevada because they pander to Sex Tourism!
The BushMiester also wanted a full report on the link between Reno and 9/11, because he had heard the two mentioned together on some TV program.
