Why hotel Europa
I have noticed that a lot of people seems to like Hotel Europa (http://www.hotelplazaeuropa.com/english/start.html). When I have searched through the thread I havent got info on why. It seems to be a long way from the action and a long way from the beach. Or are there more than one hotel europa in Sosua?
Is it just the standard and price or are there any secrets with girls hanging in the lobby all night?
I can mention that I passed throught the hotel lobby around 10 pm one night in december 2004. When I wanted to see a room the lady in the reception couldnt let me do it as she must be at the front desk and there was no one else around to show me. Of course I didnt stay there as one has to look at the rooms before accepting them while travelling in the third world.

Why hotel Europa
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first trip to Sosua was in Hotel Europa. I didn't check out the rooms in advance, but they were clean and well maintained. The staff, including Diego, the owner, were very helpful while I was there (a week in November 2004).
I've been in Sosua on a couple of visits since, staying in condos, but have heard nothing but good reports from guys staying at Europa.
Europa is no more than a ten-minute walk to the beach - which you can cut in half if you hail a motoconcho. The "center of action" in Sosua is no more than a five-minute stroll away. I'm talking about Britannia Pub and most of the popular spots.
If you've been there before, as your post implies, you know that the local talent is not hanging around the Europa lobby at night. They are across the street, at the Domino and Four Roses bars. Order a beer and see what happens. There are no secrets about what their moves will be.
I don't know whether Europa "shows" rooms - they didn't for me, and I wasn't disappointed - and the only chica-friendly hotel that I know closer to the beach is one of Rocky's eight rooms (maybe four minutes closer to the beach), which is also chica-friendly. I've never been in one, and don't know what lies within.
Be adventuresome, dude.

Sosua Hotel Question
For the reports I see that Sosua Palace, Europa and Club Residential are the places to stay. I hear a lot of bad talk about the Palace.
I'm going to Sosua for a few days in April and want to stay in a nice place that I can have two chicas at a time if I want to. Also, are these hotels close to "the action" and the beach? Thanks for any info.

Hotels
to Doe Boy,
The Palace has many problems and has lost many customers. It has about 13 rooms and has a run down quality to it. The owner is quite helpful but the Europa is more comfortable. The rooms are more secure and they are guest friendly. Bringing a chica up is no problem. If you want to bring up two the second one will be charged $15. Hotel Europa is close to the action and Domino bar and Four Roses is across the street.

The Palace is not a bad place and now that John is living on site it is getting better. Early April 1-4 it will be jamming with a bunch of regulars for anyone that is realitively new this is a great starting point, as is Field of Dreams in POP or BlackBeards in Caberette.
But for wild debauched evenings nothing beats the dirt streets of Sousa

doeboy,
re: europa, there is actually two hotels that make up the europa. one side is a typical hotel room usually around $35 usd a night. a/c, cable with porno channel, balcony, small fridge and microwave. the other side of the street (also hotel europa) has studio and small apartments usually around $28 to $32 usd a night. these are the ones i prefer. i recommend a one-bedroom apartment. you have a large king size bedroom with electronic safe you program the combination for. a/c, cable, large bathroom, full kitchen with pots and pans etc..., dining area and living room. better deal than the hotel room imho. and the pool is nice also. also has 24/7 security but is easier to slip in with two girls. resturant sucks. the europa does have free high speed internet in the lobby. europa is close to many bars and a short walk to the most popular discos (i.e. classicos and club x). always call europa first. end of feb they were completely book up. it was carnival time.
another alternative is hotel romanoff. located across the street from edy's sports bar. same type of hotel as europa and same rates but closer to the beach. also has a good resturant next door. close to discos also.
re: discos i prefer the classico. i was there two saturdays ago and felt like chum in a shark tank there was so many hungry chicas. club x is also very good. i have a beer or cuba libre downstairs in the merengue club while waiting for classicos to open.
also recommend sundays on the beach. most dominicans have sunday off and they head to the beach. we call it parada de chocha's. the pussy parade. lots of chicas up and down the beach. it is better imho to pick a girl on the beach, tell her your hotel and tell her what time you want to meet her. excellent way to get some economical pussy before you head out for the evening to the discos or casinos. best chicas i have been with i have pulled off the beach. most economical also. they are usually not the hrd core pros you find in the discos. usually part-timers. also if you speak alittle spanish go out in the campo for chicas.
take care,

RE: Casinos
Hey Ford, or anyone else,
Have any of you been in the casino in Sosua? From the web page, it looks like the same casino that was there in 2002, but I think they did some renovations. I also noticed they have texas holdem poker there as well. Wow, I'm going to have a blast as I love poker. What more could a guy ask for then to play some poker, and pick and chase your chica for the night. Oh this is going to be fun. So, is anyone going to be in Sosua from feb 21 to March 1st? Let me know and we can hook up for a couple of beers. I could use some advice as its been 4 long years since I was last there. Ps. I also noticed the casino has rooms, anyone know what they are like and how much? thanks again I leave tommorow, so, hopefully someone will post somoe infor tonight or early tommorow. Thanks again in advance for any info and beer is on me.
The casino is Sosua is kinda second rate. Still a good time but there are others close by that are alot better. The AI Breezes (between Cabarete and Sosua) is open to the public and very nice. Also there is another one fairly new in Cabarete. From the outside (have not been inside this last trip)it looks to be sort of Vegas style. Very ritzy. I have never seen the Texas Hold-em table in use in the Sosua casino (MR NYC would know better than I). The casino is Sosua is convenient you only need to hop on a moto conch. The other you must use a gua-gua or taxi. NOTE: Be very very very carefull when leaving the Casino in Sosua late at night. Only use a moto conch you know or try to get an older guy or if you won get a taxi. Some moto conchs will rob you in a heartbeat. DO NOT wear alot of jewelery, expensive watches or flash alot of cash. Use your street smarts. A friend of mine got a necklace snatched off his neck by a moto conch in broad daylight.
I personally have never had a problem in Sosua but know others that have. Use common sense this is a poor country.
Take care,

For Jackson
Jackson,
Sosua is not spelled Suosa. It is Sosua. Not often we can catch YOU with a typo. You always get us though. :)

The Palace is not that bad and John is working on making improvements now that he lives on site.
Thanks for the previous responses. A few more questions. Is the Passion Massage worth a visit? No condom Bj? come in mouth? I saw that you can take them to the hotel for a salida fee, but what the hell is to stop u from reaching a private agreement with the girl?
Going to see if I can get down there in May.
Thanks!
This has been done in the past. The girls usually get caught and fired.

I have to disagree with the previous poster, as I have made private arrangments with Passions girls many times.
Most work until midnight, or 1 a.m., and there is no one following them to see where they go when they leave. Some have suggested this before even being asked.
If you're staying at the Europa, it's only a three block stroll for them to drop by, and most are eager to pick up some pesos on the way home.
I pay the $900 pesos at the bar when I pick out the lady, then $100 or $200 tip, depending on how good the BJ was. She often asks where I'm staying, letting me know when she is available. My Spanish is poor, but good enough to deal with numbers and hours.
Experience has shown me that girls, even beautiful and talented, don't last very long at La Passions. I'd love to be Peter, who interviews them, though! Perhaps they don't make as much as working the street, although it's much cleaner and safer for them.
My advice: Don't hesitate to suggest an after-hours rendezvous.
-
I am not disagreeing. You can get them to do offsite stuff. It happens all the time and in some cases Peter is aware of it and the girl is that popular that he lets it slide for awhile. Eventually they quit because they have built up a good supply of offsite 'novios' and Western Union donators - or Peter is trying to stop the rot and fires them.
-
Passions
I do not know Peter well but - He wants the girls there during the day when they are working but when I asked him about them going offsite during the day he was not happy with the idea. He had been facing a lot of pressure about this and he told me that I should make a deal with them after hours when he was closed. What we did then was none of his business. I have to admit I never gave a propina and always got a BBBJ with a finish in their mouths.

RE: Passions
Heard from a close friend that they are cracking down on the massage places and are requiring them to get some kinda permit. Peter is getting around this by taking the client and the girl to a cabana. Wont last long. The police periodically go on these crusades so it looks like they are cleaning up the town. It will be back to normal very quickly. Last time it was those roulette slot machines. I live in La Union by POP airport. The machines disappeared one day and were back two days later. They are not stupid. They know why so many gringos come to Sosua. They need the tourist dollar. They need you there. They just dont want it to turn ugly like it did in Boca Chica a few years back. Got really bad there and mongers stopped going there. Heard it has since been cleaned up.
But no sweat in Sosua. I was there last week and there were alot of very hungry and gorgeous chicas.
RE: Chicas leaving. They earn enough in 6 months to live good for a year in the Campo. That is what I prefer. I do not want the hard-core chicas.

The recent closing of the MPs in Sousa caused Peter to have everything offsite. The licenses that everyone had to get took a little over a week, and one place didn't bother (forget which one) but Passions and M&Ms are back.
Govt wanted its taste through a nice license fee.
