Excellent!
I don't know that your doing anything wrong. Part of the success with the DIA and mall thing has to do with seasonal timing factors. Your typical filipina (talking about the the young 18-22 cuties) are pretty consverative, so the ones who go for foreigners either for bf or for semi-pro action are either very poor or just need university money.
Hence the timing issue. Right now is a bad time for the college girls becuase their term ends in mid to late March. Right now is final exam prep and end of term papers / projects etc. They have already had to come up with the money for that stuff and they are busy doing it now. Its even worse for the graduating students as they have to prep for that.
So, right now and for the next 2 to 4 weeks, you will see a shortage of these girls looking for hook ups. When their summer break starts (end of March thru the beginning of June) you will again see a nice upsurge of these girls on DIA and in the malls. Towards the end of May is particularly good as so many of these girls need money for tuition / books / uniforms at the beginning of the next term. Then as school starts their is again a bit of a drop off, etc.
When the college girl drought hits, your best bet is the 23-30 range of girls as non pro's are concerned. Cheers
Excellent info on the timing, mate. Thanks much!

I am looking for a place to watch the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament in Cebu City. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I am looking for a place to watch the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament in Cebu City. Does anybody have any suggestions?
All Sports Network (ASN) Skycable channel 69 will show some games. Not sure which games or if they will be live or tape delay. ASN just finished showing the Big 10 Championship and it was on live 320am with a few tape delay broadcasts 12hrs after the live airing so up to you if you want to stay up late or sleep in.
Some other Skycable channels might carry a few games, ESPN ch31 (Asian ESPN not American version) , Balls TV ch34, Basketball TV ch33.
I do not think bars in Cebu will be open all night just to air NCAA games live. Maybe Badgers or Sports Exchange would have a few tape delay games on the next day after it was live but that's just a guess.

I googled it and you are right, I see it closed February 2011.
Next Sports Exchange I ate there in January and it was open that time so your info about it closing 4-5months ago is incorrect. I know the owner and the bar was under water for some time. After contacting him via facebook you are right, closed January 20th. Sucks, the place had above average western food and very nice decor but with the 3rd floor out of the way location and no windows it was alot to overcome.
Silver Dollar is now called Mavericks bar, after Carl sold out to Graham.
So Levdog you are SOL if you want to watch the games at a bar in Cebu, best to find someone with Skycable.

Thanks for the info. I was a fan of the sports exchange also. I ate there right before it closed in mid January. I was sorry to see it go. I will look for an establishment that carries Skycable. If anybody knows a place which carries Skycable and is open after midnight please let me know.

Place like MBC
Is there any place like Manila Bay Cafe (formerly LA Cafe) in Cebu? I have been to LA Cafe twice and enjoyed it, but never been to Cebu. I am flying into Manila, then need to head to Cebu to catch a bus / boat, and am trying to decide whether to stay over in Manila or Cebu before going diving.

Many past references in the 'old' Cebu Forum.

Frenzy-buddy and all other Cebu pervs out there that I hoped and planned to see: Barba's sincere apologies and regrets for not getting out of my love juice swamp in Davao and flying my sorry ass over to the promised land of easy punani. Next time I WILL make it to Cebu. Thank you keeping the door open for this provincial adventurer and see you in some months.
All the best from Barba, also him lost in the Cebu forums.
Thanks, but can't seem to find the 'old' cebu forum. Not much history in this forum.
Hmm I am inclined to say RTFF but since you can't find the forum, I will in this case make an exception. So my half-assed attempt at showing you where the Cebu forum is located, perfectly matches your half-assed attempt to find it.
Just a few days ago there was a lengthy discussion and several links posted to the fully expanded Cebu forum. If you go to the first post on this thread you will find the link posted by Jackson to the Cebu forum. Either-or will get you to the same destination.
From your post history you have been around since 07, so you are no newbie and should know better. You lamented there is not much info posted here but sure-as-shit that was one of the topics covered. If you can't be bothered to read 16 posts back or roughly one full page of info then do not expect some of the more knowledgeable members here to bend over backwards to provide you with answers.
So to you sir, RTFF.

March Madness

That being said, Sandtrap opens early I think around 8:00 AM. There was an ownership change recently but I know they have Skycable. Their web page has expired.
Joker's Arms in Mandaue might open early as they had a Super Bowl party which was standing room only!

Kiwi Lodge might show some games if you ask :
