Oxford great place character yes and cheap! Girl friendly for sure!
Very nice older hotel 2 blocks from Metro Revolucion and monumento de la revoulcion is the
Oxford. Ok it's past its glory days but it still oozes charm. Huge rooms with a balcony overlooking a small park. There are lots of streetwalkers in the area but not my scene. Only 170 pesos a night last I was there. Quite a safe and pretty area, walking distance to many sites of interest. GF friendly in fact also has short time rooms I believe. One porn channel on the tv with king size beds and large banos with good hot water.
The bar downstairs has tons of charachter with local old guys who bring their guitars in and sing and wg's coming in for a drink-but not actively working as far as I could tell.
Stayed there in 2007 met a regular chica in the bar, not a looker in her 40s got too drunk to go to her apartment said no money for room wanted me to get her a room I said lets share a room she agreed great king beds unusual for cheap Mexico hotel damages for TLN were many 300 pesos with drinks and breakfast including good BBJ
Zonadivas, masajesejecutivos
After a bait and switch experience with someone who advertises on masajesejecutivos, I tried a girl from zonadivas. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. She got me hard three times in less than an hour. 2500 and worth every peso.
Information and help needed
Hello, I am doing some research on nightlife in Mexico and other areas. Recently, I heard a few stories about a particular nightclub in Mexico City. I do not have the name of the place, but I believe it was near or across from an indoor market in the center of the city (perhaps la Merced?). Anyway, it was supposed to have been quite a wild and notorious place, perhaps with strippers, etc, and folks actually having sex on stage. Also, I was told it was very popular with military recruits. I believe the authorities finally closed it down several years ago in a crackdown on vice. If any longtime resident of Mexico City knows anything about the place including the name, what actually went on there, and if it ever reopened, etc. I would appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

What Neighborhood Is Good To Stay
I was last in DF in 2005 and stayed in the zocalo area. I thought it was great in the daytime but at night it became a graveyard. Can someone recommend another area I should look into that will have a few night time entertainment options?
I don't want to be in the zona rosa so close to the tourist area. However I read that there are mid range hotels a few blocks away that are close yet far enough from nightlife. Can anyone verify this?
Polanco seems to be an upperclass neighborhood which is no good. What about condessa or the area around bellas artes?
The oxford hotel previously mentioned seems to be on tabacalera 67 Tel- 555. 566. 0500. I've read that there are other equal or better quality hotels for the same price close by. One being FRIMAN on jesus teran for 210mx. What kind of any area is this and what would the night options be? A review I read said it was central. But to what?
If you can refer anything to a metro stop that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
