Alright friends,
Since I did not hear from anyone about a phone number I decided to try Cesars palace on my last day in Santa Cruz. Took a taxi from the camino real hotel which cost me 30 bolivianos. Cesars Palace is located on this 5-6 lane street and from the outside there are a bunch of roman statues. The door asked me for 30 bolivianos and the lady who showed me to a seat got me a Cuba livre (which happens to be my official south american drink) for another 30 bolivianos. First I got approached by a hog. I kindly declined. And another one, whom I was happy to provide a cigarette for. By the way, the place is humid and hot as hell, there is no AC, so be aware. And then I changed my seat for a better view of the stage and got one of the sofas. The whole place looks pretty old, there is torn carpet and everything and even though there were a lot of girls, they looked pretty bored and the ranges were 4-7 with the occasional 8. It was a Tuesday nite, so I may not have gone there during the peak times. Anyways, I kept on drinking and finally asked one of the waiters to get me a chica with grande busto, with my limited Spanish, and so he did. A petit brunette with a rock hard body and completely natural breasts showed up within minutes. As soon as she sat down she asked for a drink which I was happy to provide, she said her name is Marianna and she had been working there for only 6 days. Girls drinks are 60 bolivianos and they seem to get these bracelets which I think they cash out at the end of the nite.
I asked her about the cost structure and she said that the girl gets 100 USD, the bar fine is 100 bolivianos and there are rooms available in the back for 5 dollars. Apparently there are better rooms with a jacuzzi for 26 dolars a night. After a few drinks and a sample of what is to come, I paid the 100 Bs bar fee and headed back to one of the rooms. The room is air conditioned (thank god) and there are 3-4 sofas in there. As we got in the room she locked the door and the party began with an amazingly deep BBBJ. She was a beast, we did it in every imagineable position in the 45 minutes and then I fell a victim to her hot behind. Throughout the years I have been around the world, mongering, I do not think I have had a better service. I wish I had more time to stay in Bolivia and get more of this hot chica. We sat there until the guard knocked on the door at the end of the hour and then we went out.
She told me she was 20 years old and she definitely had the tigh body to show for it. We sat outside and kept on drinking as I watched the stage and she showed her jealousy over and over again it is strange that these girls get so jealous when you look at other women in the club!
I ended the night at 4am and took a taxi from in front of the club back to the hotel which seemed completely safe and legit.
I did notice there was anothe club across the street but didn't bother to go there as I already had a good time at Ceasars.
I hope to be back and try out the other places like cafe show etc.
Cheers,
Barb

Very little has been posted recently on Santa Cruz so an update based on my most recent visit 2 weeks ago may be useful to prospective visitors.
My old "happy hunting ground" the Plaza Principal now seems virtually devoid of any potential!
On previous visits I had been very successful in finding "part timers" or enthusiastic amateurs for around 150 / 200 Bol. But this time none were to be found, possibly due to the large number of security guards and police walking around.
The other city centre area that also had good potential for me in the past, Plaza de la Estudiantes (around 10 blocks North of the Plaza Principal) which had been great for me in the past for local students looking to supplement their income was also devoid of possibilities on the times I visited this trip although on the diagonally opposite corner from the Plaza there was some low class "street meat" but nothing above a 5 rating.
Most hotels will be able to organize something for you. Just ask at reception and they should be able to show you a book of photos with a good range of much higher class girls. All of them will be "Model Types, " young, attractive, with good figures and can be delivered to your hotel room within around 1 hour. The cost should be around 50 / 60 US$. Not so cheap by Bolivian standards but in my experience you are virtually guaranteed an attractive young lady who does her job very well! The local paper, El Deber has a large selection of clasificados adds under the heading "compania" Also available on line at www.eldeberservices.com/clasificados/index.php
The prices ranged from 100 Bol per hour to 100 US$ / hour, many from girls claiming to be 18, 19 or 20 years old so someone with better Spanish than mine might just find something interesting here.
The clubs are still there but I did not have the time try any of them this time so can not update previous reports.
Regarding the Whiskera’s my local contacts advised me not to go "solo" as many were not safe for foreigners.
Still many private Cassas around but locations can change regularly. A good taxi driver can be useful here and should know the best and up to date options. As an aside, Santa Cruz has a few upmarket restaurants at very reasonable prices. Try Michael Angelo, Candelabra or La Suisse. You will not be disappointed.
Enjoy Santa Cruz and PLEASE POST ANY UPDATES you may have,
Hotman
Having spent only 3 short days in Santa Cruz during "Carnaval" I can only say I had a wonderful, relaxing time. Because my stay was short, I resorted to the professionals offered by a taxi driver at the Camino Real, coming up with "Miriam" a beauty from Paraguay of about 25 years old. She was not cheap at US$70, but 10 min after the deiver made a call, she came right to the hotel, to my room. Since the staff had known her, they requested her ID which was held until she departed. No English was spoken and my rudimentary Spanish was all that was needed. She obviously worked for a service and had to call in upon arrival.
This young woman was the epitome of beauty and sensuality. She gave a GFE, albeit an hourly one. I hired he for the following day too.
After her second visit, I walked her out the main entrance and the reception staff all grinned. They all confided that she is known as the best of the best. They all wanted to have her, but none of them could afford her fee.
I also found a girl named "Miriam" and she also gave a GFE. Did she have a tattoo on her lower back?

Just asking because I had a young woman with the same name and she also gave a GFE.

Well apparently I chose the wrong weekend to visit Santa Cruz. Everything, and I mean everything - is closed. Bars, restaurants, clubs, you name it. Save for the religious parades, it's a ghost town. Still, I love the climate..
If anyone knows of anything open this weekend, I'm your wingman. For mongering or just hanging out, first drink's on me.

Eastern day!
Santa Cruz
Thanks everybody for the posts, here's an update and my take on the clubs.
First thing to note: the nights for mongering in SC are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Caesar's Palace: I didn't like it. It's a big place but no where near full. I went on a Wednesday and then again on Saturday. The dancers were pretty good, but the drinks were expensive by Bolivian standards, 60 Bolivianos for a beer. I didn't ask about the bar fine or chica drinks. I guess the place is worth a look but I would move on after a drink. Blown speakers in the sound system really annoyed me.
Currys: I was only there Wednesday, so it was slow. They had a show, a real show with a choreographed dance act. A girl sang. The chicas were pretty decent looking. Again, it was a Wednesday so less action. Worth a look, 40 Bolivianos entrada gets you a drink.
Cafe Show: This was my favorite and I was there three times. A lot of girls, good atmosphere. A mix of Bolivians, Paraguayas with a few Colombians and even a Brazilian. They had live music Saturday (well, singing and percussion and a keyboard, the rest generated by computer). Only 25 Bolivianos for a beer, 60 for a chica. The only thing that got me mad was one chica I was ready to take out, I bought her a drink and she finished it and said she wasn't interested and walked off! That has never ever happened to me before! Then I talked to the Brazilian, I asked first if she would leave with me and she said she couldn't, but that I could buy her a drink. I didn't know what was up with that. So I guess the point is negociate before you start spending money.
Kaprichoos: This is a new club, open only two months according to my taxi driver. It is located around the corner from Cafe Show, Calle Warnes 589. You can walk to it. This isn't a bad area of town, by the way, it's just the downtown area which is pretty much deserted at night. Kaprichoos was pretty good, 30/60 your drink/her drink. About 15 girls, most pretty hot. Not as lively as Cafe Show but a good place.
Cartegena Whiskeria: Somewhere on the fourth anillo, I think, not that far from Equipetrol. A drunkards dream if I ever did see one. 15 Bolivianos for a 600 ml beer! Dark, slow, great sound system, a few lazy hos lounging about. If you like slumming it, there's your place!
General Thoughts on Santa Cruz: I really didn't like the way the city is laid out, and downtown itself was pretty boring. They don't have a lot of bars or coffee shops for some reason. Most everything is right around the Plaza 24 de Septiembre, or Plaza Principal as the locals call it. The "Irish" Pub is about the best place to go for food and drink, and Lorca on the corner of the square at Sucre and Moreno is good also. Note the names of the streets change at the Plaza, in all four directions.
If you stay in Equipetrol you have essentially your hotel and nothing else. I stayed at the Royal which was overpriced even at the 50 dollars I negociated them down to, but it was alright and the staff was good. Horrible coffee.
I would recommend the Yotau All Suites hotel if you want the best and want to stay out of the center, 100 US, you could probably bargain. www.yotau.com.bo.
I would probably stay in the Gran Hotel Santa Cruz, Calle Moreno 269. www.granhotelsantacruz.com. I would rather stay downtown where I could walk to the Irish Pub for a beer at night.
ATMs: Yes, don't let me forget! When you get to the airport (Viru Viru) the ATM machines are for some reason located upstairs in the departure lounge.
Coca: My taxi driver said the best place to get a bag of coca leaves was Coca Social. It's a chain, they have a store about two blocks from the Plaza Principal on Junin.

I will be there next week, can someone suggest a good cheeka friendly hotel within "$50" range with wifi
Does the hotel offer cheeka service, if so what should I be paying?
Is that too much to ask ;-)

Try Yotau Suits www.yotau.com.bo
Nice Hotel with good location. (But not sure if it has WiFi.)
Yes Chicas available. From memory US$50 / 60 for incall.
Not the cheapest but good quality imho.
See my report from 19.05.2009 for a bit more info on S.C.
Enjoy,
Hotman.
Just returned from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. New to this forum. Nice info, thanks. Having been to all continents, and many of the World's large cities, I would say this city is unequivocally my favorite. Chicas are that mix of S. Amer and European that makes for stunning looks, yet very unsophisticated business structuring for the monger. Quiet, shy, and fresh off the farm in many cases. 11th trip to SC.

Any recomendations?

Any recomendations?
W. Am just learning how to reply. Hope this goes.
Yes, lots of recommendations.
To start. Fly American, skip Aerosur
Taxis from airport to hotel in SC are by law 50 Bolivianos, all other rides cheap
Los Tajibos is nicest hotel in town, bar none. But not too chica friendly. All girls must register at front desk. Then no problem, but many girls fresh from farms have no ID at all. So they can't register.
Hotel Milan is cheap, clean and honest. Across from plaza centro. Hard, small beds is only downer.
I personally like Cesars, even with mixed reviews here. A private dance room usually only 50 bolivianos ($7) if not wanting to be near crowd. Safe, well known place. 8 and 9 girls quite common on Fri and sat nights.
All places, if you order beer, they think you may be poor. I always order an expensive drink, and usually send away the first girl or two.
Numerous male servers. Tip one a few bucks and ask for the prettiest, or newest girl, whatever you fancy, and it will be worth while. Amber could be a prom queen in most US cities, but when I had her two weeks ago, she knew absolutely nothing, not even basic positions.
Ask for a "Boliviana" as most girls are from Paraguay, and they can be a little experienced for my tastes. Wish I had an air ticket.

Any recomendations?
Sorry, didn't finish.
At Curry's, across from Cesars, and known by all the cabbies, the girls have been summarized nicely. Well known to be the best is Simone, a slim, Brazilian model, who is, paradoxically, on the nearby billboard hawking perfume. She speaks English, but alas, is $300 US per night. (all night) always awakening with a smile on her face for the next task.
If you want to visit the houses, I can help you there too. It is common at one of these to have new girls at mid day. They need to be instructed a little,. But cheap and fun.
