Hotel apartments for busy periods
Don't forget to look at hotel apartments during busy periods, there is far more availability than for hotels. Probably because most overseas visitors book through hotel group web sites or Expedia et al. Do a Google search for Al Shams, Jormand, Savoy, Desert Rose, Rose Garden etc etc. Most charge 400. 500 per night even in most peak periods, normally inc breakfast (cornflakes, Nescafe and toast! ) and tax. Golden Sands, Ramee and Meridien are on Expedia so move prices up and down significantly.
As for GF or not do a search on the forum and you may or may not find out.
Nov Dubai Trip - seeking Advice
Hi guys,
I'm travelling to Dubai in late Nov for a couple of nights and would appreciate if somebody could recommend a TOP quality hotel that is GF but near the centre. My choice is tilting towards Sheraton 4 Points presently (mainly because of the positive GF reviews) but would love to add a bit of luxury such as Grosvenor House or Fairmont. Problem is that this place (Grosvenor) seems to be located 15 miles from the city which seems a bit far from where most of the 'action' is (Golden Triangle). Other than the Burj Al Arab, are there any others of a high quality that merit a visit for a hassle free weekend. My possible choices are Hilton Dubai Creek, Grosvenor or Sheraton 4 Points. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated & I promise to follow up with a report of my first trip.
