Refunds in Locumbia. So true
Refunds in any case are generally very difficult under any circumstances in Colombia. Returning a purchase is damn near impossible. Once a merchant has your money, airline, hotel, restaurant or clothing store, getting it back is very difficult if not unheard of. The mindset in Colombia is to keep the money and try to get it back. I have found this style of business is pretty much a Latin America thing.
This is true in most all of Latin America, but Locumbia puts a twist on it with bureaucratic process, paperwork, and non-functional websites. It's comical when it's a small amount, and madening when it's a large amount.
But to take it a step further. A few examples like this. One was an online purchase from Exito (Colombia knock off of target) delived by courier. Simple kitchen appliance needed for the apartment at cost of 120.000. Smoothish online purchase and no shipping charge, got it in 1 day. Novia claimed it didn't work like she wanted (I was fine with it). But those with a colombiana novia will know that there's no changing of that opinion. So whatever, she wanted it not me. So she does the return, the website worked but of course it asked for the purchase identification in 3 different order numbers, cedula, place of birth, blood type, and 10 other forms of personal information, and the credit card. Email with labels for return and courier picks up. So I check my card online. No refund. Wait a few days. Then a week, no refund. I tell her I'm just going to file the dispute with credit card co. Novia will have none of that, she takes it as a personal crusade to get the refund. Of course I have to help her log in and find the hidden customer service / complaints contact info, but whatever. So over the course of 2 weeks, she spends probably 10 hours trying to get the 120,000 refunded on my card. Without success. But better her to have that drama than some manufactured drama en casa. So I'm mildly entertained by it for 2 weeks. Then I file the dispute without telling her. Probably takes me 3 minutes. Case close but I don't tell novia. She gave up her crusade, and now has to bring it up every time we go to exito or carula (same company).
Got other stories like that with presencial stuff. Nail parlor, defective running shoes.
Got to laugh.
But if it was $500 with Dann Carleton. Damn, sorry for your loss.

Santa Fe on Thursday and Friday
Went out last couple of night doing tours. Also met up with other ISG guys-There are many visiting now.
As Usual a kaleidoscope of pussy.
Here's a few highlights / Observations / miscellany in no particular order.
Hot girls in the street for sure more on Friday.
I was showing this guy around on Friday and he liked the clubs but liked the SGs more so we were outside walking around a lot and having beers in the little bars (much cheaper beer 3 mil).
He had fun with this little blonde who is always at the hotel on Calle 24 and CR 15. This girl has been banged by a few guys I have shown around. That's a good hotel I have been in there.
More than a few times.
Actually all 4 corners on the block have hot SGs when busy (North Stroll).
On Friday I was with 5 ISG guys hanging in Fiebre, girls lining up, There were about 20 girls+ maybe 6+ that were really hot like 7-8. Went through Troya and Paisas-- same kind of ratio.
Really hot girls eating in the Alaska Cafe late So fun to go there for late night munchies.
I saw this really gringo looking guy who looked really nervous walking around. Tried to say Hi but he just stared straight ahead and walked past. He looked like someone who would be targeted, hope he's ok.
Attached are photos of Colombia Playboys And other items I have available, I have a lot of inventory- Anyone interested can PM me-- I ship packages to the US and Europe all the time.
