We might be interested in this, but a better fit for us would be:
* 4+ bedrooms
* 1-day rental ok
* has pool
* very close to walking street area (taxi ok, but not too far away would be best)
* obviously, a place where we can party and get wild all night without interference from neighbors, police, etc.
Does anyone know such a place, or can refer a website where I can investigate?
I promise to post reports after our trip/bash!
Thanks in advance,

Thanks a lot guys:)[/QUOTE]I stayed at both the Tim Boutique and Siam Bayshore last month... Tim Boutique does NOT have a joiner fee but is a bit of an older hotel. The lady does have to leave her ID at the front desk which is good for you for safety reasons. I did pay extra and got the room with a jacuzzi which was great.
Then I moved to the Siam Bayshore where both the rooms were very good and location was great but they charged a 1000 baht per guest joiner fee. One night I did 'sneak' two ladies in. By "sneak", we walked in casually and they were dressed like normal tourists so it was easy around 10pm. But then we went out to clubs and when we returned at 4am, the guard gave us problems and since I was tired and not willing to pay 2000 more baht, they went home. Both came back the next day and I met them in the front of the hotel and walked them in casually and no one said anything.
I plan to be back in Pattaya next week and will be staying at the Marriott (using my points that I collect due to travel for work) so I would be curious if Marriott has joiner fees?

I think a lot of hotels with joiners charge them after a certain time at night eg 8pm. Sounds like this maybe the case here.

When I stayed there about 1.5 years ago it did not. I would imagine some discretion is expected, even required, but shouldn't be a problem. There's also a side entrance (above the bar). I'd go with that if possible (but maybe just because I'm a whimp about the walk of shame factor).
Very nice hotel, btw. Rooms good, not A+, and bathroom small, but hotel and facilities overall are excellent. Great service too, of course.

Hotel recommendation
Hi,
When I was in Pattaya a few months ago I stayed at Sandy Spring hotel and would recommend it.
Never paid a joiner fee - and I have visitors both during the day and at night and sometimes more than one.
Location is good as the road is quiet, but still within wlaking distance of the action.
I had a sea view suite which has a living room, bed room and two bathrooms.
The WIFI was not too good, but worked if I was in the right part of the room.
Room service food is pretty poor, but there are so many options around.

Sandy spring hotel
I will agree with you on this.
I have stayed there every time for the past 5 years since it was brand new.
The hotel have a very good location, very nice staff, very nice rooms(i prefer the deluxe sea view) and is totally GF.
I am so happy to stay there again next month.
Ken.

Although I can fully see why so many people rave about Sandy Springs, my experience was somewhat less positive. I would still recommend it to some people, but I think there are other options out there which people should consider.
I've been out of the game for a couple of years now, but I'm back in it, and I thought what better way to get into my old ways than to visit the mecca of mongering: Pattaya!
I researched hotels to death, and the names that kept coming up were Sandy Springs, Flipper House, the LK joints, and some of the Eastiny places. So for my first ever trip to Pattaya, I made a bee line for Sandy Springs.
Positives:
1. excellent location (Soi 13, within walking distance of Soi 6 in one direction, and within walking distance of Walking Street in the other. Also at the sweet spot of Beach road for the SWs).
2. Quiet hotel. I had no problems with loud neighbors or noise from the hallway.
3. Completely GF. No hassles, a few sly looks from the ladies at the reception and bar, but nothing terrible.
4. Staff are excellent, very, very friendly and positive.
Negatives:
1. Wi-fi is not free, and ridiculously expensive (I can't remember exactly how much, but it's something like 50B per half hour).
2. I paid for a deluxe room (1600B), and I had very, very bad wi-fi connectivity, so I couldn't use the wi-fi even if I wanted to. I tried in all parts of the room, but no luck anywhere.
3. The rooms themselves are kind of old and run down. People talk about it being 'clean', which is technically true. But there was a musty smell in my room, and everything was just old and dingy.
4. No safebox in the room, only at the reception. What's more, there is no privacy at the reception, so everyone is watching you as you pull your wads of 1000B bills out of that box.
5. Not enough towels (2 bath, 2 hand towels), not a great shower (one of the telephone shower types, which would move around as the water pressure fluctuated).
6. Breakfast not included in price, and not offered in the hotel.
So I would recommend this place if location is important to you. I booked three nights, and after the first night I started looking for a replacement. I made my way to Areca Lodge, across 2nd street and down Soi Diana. This place was, in my opinion, much better than Sandy, for the following reasons:
1. Cheaper (Standard room=1300B, Deluxe=1400B).
2. Equally GF - I had absolutely no problem with bringing back a go-go girl.
3. Breakfast included in the 1300B price. Breakfast is good, not fantastic, but they have a small omlette station, plenty of toast, sausages, fruit, yogurt, etc. Coffee was very poor, but I am a coffee snob, so there you go. Caffe Pitini is just around the corner from Areca, and I highly recommend this place for top quality coffee (and food in general).
4. Pool was much better (they have two pools, actually, both of which are better than Sandy Springs).
5. They have a small gym.
6. Rooms are cleaner than Sandy Springs. Truth be told, the room I was in was about as old as the one I was in at Sandy Springs, but there was no musty smell.
7. Two free bottles of water included in the room.
8. In-room safe.
9. Staff are equally (if not more) friendly and accommodating than at Sandy. The bell boy was a really cool guy, very helpful, very positive, full of information and assistance. The girls at the desk were also very nice - all chatty and giving me all the info about joiner fees (or lack thereof) at check in.
Areca also did not have enough towels (same as Sandy Springs), and it is farther from the walking street action. But I had a scooter, which made this a non-issue for me.
Sandy Springs is not a bad choice, but just not my cup of tea. For those who will have their own transportation (scooter, motor bike, car), and given the price difference, the increased quality, and equal GF status, the included breakfast and the in-room safe, I would recommend Areca Lodge over Sandy Springs. Also, Areca is close to Soi Buakhao, which is a great soi to discover. So location is not all that bad.
So that's just my opinion based upon one visit to Pattaya. I will be going back over the next week or so, and if my opinion changes, I will definitely post news to that effect.

If you used tools other than ISG to conduct your research you would find a wider variety of hotels. ISG members seem to be comfortable with the hotels near walking street or the ones previously used by other ISG members. Jomtien Hotels are rarely mentioned here but there are some good deals out there. Never stayed at SS but the White House next door to it is a very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. Hotels are popping up all over town with some offering free promotions/discounts but you have to reach out to other places (like Asia Travel) to find them.
