So they have something in common with many Americans.
Amen to that. When I travel overseas and call myself Black people say you are Brown not Black. I say well when you come to my country there will be three kinds of people: White, Black, and Mexican. You will be considered Mexican. Americans can't think beyond those three.
Dude, open your eyes.
Many can't read or write their own language let alone English. Most know nothing about the outside world, nor do they care. Sure, they are street smart, they have to be to survive.
But being street smart doesn't make them intelligent, far from it.
Having lived in Thailand for a number of years I used the scratch my head in bewilderment at the stupidity displayed by some of the natives here.
You first paragraph covers many nationalities and is a vague generalisations. Much is true of Americans. Despite the noise they make overseas many Americans never travel outside their home state.
Education and intelligence are two separate things.
Glad ou think the natives are 'stupid. ' Must endear you to many!
Had a few happy days in phnomh penh recently. Stayed near Walkabout.
First afternoon on arival sat in walkabout, chatting to a gal who looked fine, offered "massage" she had nice body. US$25 settled it.
That night wanderd asround a few bars, HOD, getting my bearings etc.
Next day, for lunch went to walkabout and yesterdays "friend " was there, she offered servicesagain but told her I wanted fresh girl so she called her freind over. And made her friend pay a US$2 intro fee LOL. Back to room, this gal good and adventurous. US$ 25 again.
That night made a date with bartender in Shanghai for after work, but took home a gal from Black Cat. Small cute with happy smile and those silver waist chains they have for luck.
Thiungs start to get hazy thereafter as before I went to Cambodia I had two nights in Thailand. Late nights, beers etc all take their toll.
I do recall that the next afternoon I went into walkabout (the Hell Angels chapter there every day?) and some ropey ladies there seemingly fixed in their concrete seats. Anyways found the one rorm dy before, she volunteered a freind come along and we had a nice 3 some. US$40. Oh and I shaved them both.
That night was one of those strange nights. I rearranged the date with the SHanghai bartender gilrl but wanted another from Balck cat. So barfined the Balck cat girl from 11pm till 130 then she left my bed and room. Go out to meet Shanghai bartender and she's fine to go with mre, but not to my hotel. She says she has a relative working there etc. So we try 3 guest houses. 2 are full and one had no person to ask for a room. By now its 3am and my need for sleep is greater than my need for a root so I went home alone. Sometimes sleep better than sex. But only sometimes!
By now I've didcoverd the bars near the river so next day I stop by candy bar in morning. Some rough girls there but a smal cutie took my eye so I got her number. Headed back to walkabout to see who was around as I liked the 2 girl thing but neither girl there. Called the candy bar gal and she came over. 40kgs and happy. Oh and I shaved her too.
THAt night went out and about and had a nice chat with a cute gal in Vixens then another in Dreams. WAs thinking which one to take so headed to vixens and mine is with a young stud, never mind, then the dreams girl is also ocupied. Hmm headed to a restaurant (as needed the wifi) and whn I looged in there a message from wechat with a gal in a bar near candy bar. We do the hello, hi where you work thing and I get there (street 136 I think). She has great legs, one drink bar fine and we head to my hotel. And yes, she hadsnt shaved for a while so I obliged. Overall great times. Willl make another post about thoughts of Phnomh penh
Have lived and worked in asia for many years so have seen all the fleshpots. Found PP to be a place eith fantastic value. Breakfast for less than US$5. Dinner same, cheap beers, ok prices for ladies drinks. Nice staff in most places. Overall I realyl enjoyed and probably more to do than Angeles. Ok so on beach as in Pattaya but overall, very happily impressed. I think will have one month a year in Cambodia when retirement comes.
Sa and had late breakfast most days on 126 street (same street as Gladiator bar ). And I say thousands of "me's". Guys between 45 and 65, standard uniform of shorts, tshirt and sandals. With that hunting look in their eyes. Yes lots of older couples who looked bored with each other and the wives watching the husbands eyes like hawks.
Most places had nice fun friendly staff, not in the loud brash way they can be in Thailand.
Ok the streets have lots of garbage but wandering around BKK today I realised the streets in BKK are all broken, pavements all cracked, drains as dirty so maybe not much difference.
As I sad, overall good impression, great prices and for sure I iwll be back to Cambodia for many more adventures. My wallet was happy and I never felt anyone was taking advantage!
So they have something in common with many Americans.
This statement is sooo true.
What do you strange about that statement or concept?
I find it perfectly normal that the average Khmer would come up with this kind of logic. But perhaps you don't realise how retarded some of these people are.
Do you think that of African Americans? Do you actually think that education is the only way to success? I don't have a degree. Poor child born in the hills of eastern Europe and I'll bury 95% of the US population in net worth and my knowledge of culture and history. Given an opportunity to hire someone I would hire that street smart Khmer before I would hire a know it all with 20 pieces of paper telling him "how smart he should be" If you look around you it's the racists that are usually of inferior brain power because they can't think reality but only heed the line they have been feed. Dust off that KKK outfit. I'm sure you're one of those that think the south will rise again.

SNIP.

I realise you posted this in haste (because of the typos hehehe) but are you saying that you logged in to wifi and used the "wechat" app to find a girl somewhere close?
How did that go? Useful app?
How many did you meet that way?
Amen to that. When I travel overseas and call myself Black people say you are Brown not Black. New York is the cultural and financial capital of the United States. Even a bus boy in Brooklyn will know the countries of Latin America, Asia, etc, better than the average Thai, Italian or Korean office worker.
The essence of America is diversity. It lacks in middle America only because middle America lacks in everything, including a viable economy to attract immigrants.
In America "brown" is usually the term used for Latinos.
BTW, Leftfields opinions are shared by I guess 95% of the foreigners living and working in Cambodia if my experience is anything to go on. So if this kind of stuff puts you off (as it should) , you'll want to avoid getting into conversations with the expat crowd. Not much different than the majority of the expats in Thailand, Philippines, etc, who all seem united in their hatred from the "lazy" locals (makes you wonder why they don't go the fuck home).

Probably the most diverse city in the country. And that's a fact. With a continuing growth in Hispanic and Asian population of about 3% yearly.
I don't get where you get your information. You're about the knowingest guy in the world but 1/2 the sh*t you know is false.
Ohh wait? You live in NY so how could anything come close to where the incredible GaRRp lives.

He's in a charming town at about 3500 meters. About 400 expats mostly from the US live there. He bemoans the fact that they live in walled compounds which they never leave and spend most of their time complaining about Ecuadorians and watching MSNBC.
You just made my argument for me. Chicago is the armpit of America. No one cares about it. Full of ignorant fat sweaty middle America neckbeards. Next time you're in Phnom Penh see how many bar girls have heard of it and then get back to me.
The NYC metro is home to close to 10% of the US population, and is the world capital of finance, trade, media, entertainment and biotechnology. So yeah, it matters a little bit. Find someone in the world who hasn't heard of it and then get back to me.
Now go eat some greasy disgusting deep dish pizza and put a flannel shirt on for me and stop jocking my posts would ya? .
Probably the most diverse city in the country. And that's a fact.
No, that's an incorrect assertion, not quite the same thing as a fact, but judging by your posts I could see where you'd be confused.
America's Most Diverse Metros.
1. San Jose, CA
2. New York, NY-NJ
3. Oakland, CA
4. Houston, TX
5. Honolulu, Hi,
6. Fort Lauderdale, FL
7. Orange County, CA
8. Memphis, TN-MS-AR
9. San Francisco, CA
10. Albuquerque, NM
No mentioned of Shitcago or any other Midwestern city. What a surprise!

Sadly it's the same thing is pretty much every country I have ever been to, which is a lot. The imperial-colonial mindset dies hard.

I love PP my neighbours are excellent, most of them work for the government and have helped me more than anyone ever did back home.
Just wait if you learn to speak K'mai you get most things for about half price that tourists are paying. Come here and retire and I'll get you set up brother with a few girlfriends, virgins if you want.
I go back to Thailand a few times a year to visit friends and do some mongering and I can't believe how much the prices for some shit has gone up there. Other stuff is the same price as 10 years ago, like rent, hotel rates, but food, beer, cars and girls wow prices have gone way up. Just a regular bar on Sukhumvit is over $3 now. In PP at a night club you'll pay less. I got a 6000 baht bill at I love NY in Pattaya. I'd be dead if I spent that much in a bar in PP.
I keep wanting to be a member here so I can PM people, but I don't like it takes so long for posts to go up. It is a good site though and most of the guys have had similar experiences as myself in the same countries. Others have help by stopping me from wasting my time by going to countries I've been curious about.
Cheers,
PS Chicago rocks, prefer it over NY, but that's just my opinion.
PSS Fuck the pizza, Blues clubs, Outlaws, steak houses and prime-rib at Lowery's, almost as much fun as BKK, but without the rats. PSSS Seen the sun come up many a morning in BKK.
