Patong Hotel Recommendations?
Yes, I know it's a frequently asked question, but I've just scrolled through the 5 or 10 most recent pages and not seeing any updated info, so hopefully you won't mind my asking again.
Looking for a girlfriendly place in Patong for four nights and don't mind paying in the range of US$100-$150 per night. Any recommendations?
Patong Hotel Recommendations?
If you do not get an answer here, there are a couple of Phuket boards that you might want to try. Be sure that you contact the hotel to check on the guest policy, they change from manager to manager.
that much - may be a problem

To be honest, paying that much for a hotel might be a problem. Especially the more upscale hotels (in my impresion only these) are not girl friendly or require a joiner fee which can be the same amount than you pay for the room yourself. I can understand that policy - the upscale hotels are loking for tourists, family and couples who want to get sure not to make vacation in a "brothel". So: the cheaper the hotel the less the probability they are not girl friendly. Most of the midscale hotels in Patong live from male tourists like us and do not charge extra for one or two girls you bring back.
I stayed at the summerbreeze in soi saen sabai all the three weeks, allthough my standard room(30$ per night) was not that good. Especially the aircon was to noisy...But I stayed there because I was to lazy to check around and the weather was to bad (still rainy season - shit: thatīs not normal end of November). So I did not need a bungalow at the beach or something. And I soon realized that I was spending too much money for the nightlive so the 10$ I could save per night would not be that relevant :-) The summerbreeze has also bigger and better rooms, an american owner (Bill, somewhat in the fifties) and a very good night manager! I recommend you check the website (www. summerbreezehotel.com) and/or call them (ask for bill). Especially if you stay just for 4 days this place will be o.k. for you. Itīs a 5 minutes walk to all the sois on bangla road with the beers bars, agogos and discotheques. 200 m away is the Tai Pan, which is closing around 4 in the night and all the ladies that could not get a custonmer untill then are meeting there: definetly the easiest and cheapest way to find a fuck...(500 baht ST and 1.00 LT - nice loking girls in tge bars sometimes double their prices - which is also o.k. in my impression)
