FKK Chantal Chevalier Exclusiv is closed. Their website, www.fkkcc.de, redirects to ladies.de where they used to advertise. After opening strong, this place has had numerous reports of poor selection/service in recent months. I went there once and I could see no reason to return when there are so many other excellent choices in and around Frankfurt. Have fun somewhere else.

Fats and Kaleu,
Thanks for the information about Chantal. Seems too bad that it closed. I wonder why the more successful Frankfurt FKK clubs tend to be farther away from the city center?

Hi,
I posted a similar question to the Frankfurt page, but perhaps I will get a response here.
If you could go anywhere in Germany for a few days in November for good FKK Clubs and other interesting things to do, where would it be?
I have only been to Germany once, and that was to Frankfurt, but I did visit FKK 35 when I was there, and I liked it.
Thanks for any help,
V.

@ Viagrant,
For Hobby and sightseeing combo trip there only two cities that come into question, Frankfurt or Cologne/Düsseldorf area.
Frankfurt
Sightseeing :
Old part of town down by the main, some old churches and buildings.
Sachsenhausen has some nice old buildings plus a lot of Apfelwein restaurants where you can eat some typical german food and drink the local cider.
In the area around there there are other things to see like Wiesbaden and the Rhein and such. I am not the biggest tourist around so I don't know what else to recommend.
Hobby:
Within a 1 hour drive - atlantis, Oase, World, Fantasyland and others
Cologne/Düsseldorf
Sightseeing:
Very large and historical Cathedral in Cologne, some great bars and restaurants near the rhine, Düsseldorf has the old town which is famous for its many bars.
Hobby : Smaller clubs, but many Happy Garden, Wildenrath, Cocon, Babylon, Wiago etc.
I like the club pricing in teh cologne/ddf area better, but the ones in the Frankfurt area are bigger and more impressive from the facilities.
I would say see where you get a better deal on the flight/rental car and hotel and use that city. You need a rental car in either city.

Thanks for the information. How important is it to have a rental car? Can you get to the FKK Clubs by taxi, or is this difficult or expensive?
Thanks,
V.

If you have a valid drivers license get a renal. Using sixt or avis opr hertz you should be able to find a good deal. Taxi's are expensive, trains take long and are not convenient, and taxis are expensive. These clubs are all well out of town and in the countryside.

Peter,
My hesitance in driving a rental car in Germany is that I really don't speak any significant amount of German. I think that they drive on the right side of the road in Germany (which at least would be good for me). Is English sufficient for driving in Germany?
Thanks,
V.

I speak almost no german and often hire cars. You need less Grman to hire cars than to use public transport. The rental places always speak English.
It might be a good idea just to learna few basic phrases for politeness - German people are often reluctant to talk English as they think they need to be perfect. If you say a few words in German (like "ich kann Deutsch nicht sprechen .... wo ist der ...") then I find that a person who a minute earlier says they can't speak English realises that their English is way better than my German - and then they speak English

Viagrant,
I always hire cars - I speak a minimum of German although I find that I understand quite a bit - German road system is excellent, taxis are super expensive by Anerican standards, and although the train system is super, it's very inconvenient to rely on the trains to get to and from clubs located far from city centers.
The rental people all speak English, many Germans can help with directions ("rechts" is right and "links" is left) and it pays to prepare your own itinereray beforehand using Map 24 or any of the other online navigations sites.

Aahhh Peter is the man! What great recommendations. Today I rented a BMW for the weekend for 99 Euros at the sixt site. What a deal! Can't wait to take that little baby out on the Autobahn.

This site was very helpful in preparing me to drive in Deutschland, and driving there is a gas.
Ich nicht sprechen sie Deutsch...but I am trying.
NB

Most card from Sixt have NAVIGATION systems. They can be set to ENGLISH but even in German they can be used. I have had luck with these systems getting me to very obscure places.
Good luck -

Well the Sixt Volvo S70 we rented last week (from Amsterdam) 160 eu for 3 days unlimited including airport surcharge.
Didnt have a on board navagation fitted.
But we had Wizard built in NAVagator on board and I managed to find our way pretty good .We travelled over one thousand KM in the short time we were there.
I WAS A GAS

NB,
Thanks for the complement. Use a gold card to save the insurance and then the weekend rate really is cheap. When exactly are you here, maybe we can meet each other.
Wiz et al. At Sixt in Germany all Mercedes, including the relatively cheap A Klass rental have Navigation system. With Navi I find most clubs easily, it is a bit tough to put the address for Oase and Atlantis in properly (tough to choose the right city, as there are many with the same name).

Has anyone any tips about Stuttgart FKK clubs such as FKK Stuttgart, Casablanca or FKK Dream? Also are there FKK clubs in Heidelberg? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
