I'm trying to have some news about situation in Guanabo now.
I was there 4 years ago and it was fantastic.
What about 'La Terrazza' discoteque near the beach or 'Guanabo Club' or the main bar called 'Bar del Pollo' ?
Still a lot of girls there ? I heard that situation may be changed now. Thanx a lot.
When i was in guanabo like 4-5 years ago,i consider this
place to bee one of the worlds best for picing up easy
girls. The beach was packt with hot teenage bikinibabes
that just waited for you to make a move.A 5 minute
talk and it was all fixt. For 15-20 dollar you got the hole
thing. When i was there 2 years ago all the girls were
gone. The police has shut down the buissniss.
A few days ago I did a one-day trip to Guanabo from Havana, to spend the day on the beach and take a look at the situation there. Guanabo is dead. Fortunately I took with me a cute chick from Havana, otherwise I really doubt you can find any pussy over there. The police are everywhere: on the beach and on the streets of the town, there were plenty of policemen on the main street. They seem to have kicked out all the chicks.
I was in Cuba, 1 week ago.
Must agree that overall Guanabo was very quiet.
Not like in the good old days - 4 years ago...
I must agree Guanabo is kinda slow,in fact I witnessed really funny thing. This Italian guy tried to pick up a girl on the beach ( she was not even hot!),the girl just told him to fuck off,he didn't really get it and asked her again, the girl jus took her things and left. :) Hey I didn't have to go all the way to see this,I see it everyday in CA! Police is everywhere, they actually watch after tourists so cubans don\t bother them. This is test post, does anyone know if it's safe to post here? I see IP address is being logged,so that is not very comforting.
I visited Guanabo and Santa Maria beaches for an afternoon. They are 15 miles east of Havana. They were crawling with police with walky-talkies.
They have built observation towers on the beaches, with mounted telescopes and full time observers.
I would advice avoiding this wacked out scene, unless you are curious to see it for yourself.
I did pickup a hitchhiking chica. This method works if you have a car and a driver. As many Cubanos hitch hike. But it wastes alot of gas and it's difficult to scope out the girl accurately until she gets in your car.
On the afternnon I visited, I picked up a chica with a very beautiful body, but after she was in the car I could see she had a serious dental problem and had a really raspy voice. My radar detected her as a pro. Which is not my interest. I had my driver explain to her I wasn't interested and we dropped her off.
Does anyone know about LA Terrazza disco located in Playa de l'est or Guanabo Club? Few years ago those disco were both crowded with hundreds girls. Are those discos still there?
Thanx
The discos on the beaches are influx and fluid for various reasons, police, drugs, and popularity. Places get too popular and the police or the politicos flex their mudcles and shut them down.
One standard that has avoided the open and closed doors of Guanabo Club, El Coral, El Dorado, Bellomonte, ect. is Playa Hermosa in Guanabo.
With the recent closures (again, over the past 4 months) of Bellomonte and El Dorado, Tarara on the Via Blanca was jammed, inside and out on the weekends. It's more of a restaurant hangout than a disco though. El Trebol is a disco on the Via Blanca, up the hill from the hotel ghetto of PDE, the beaches. Both are on guagua stops, and there are a lot of girls hitching for new clients during the day near El Trebol. Most of the time paired off with another girl.
Many of the girls coming out to play on the Via Blanca live in one of the subs to the south of where they are looking for business.
Things can change severely in a month. Jineteros have a line on what the hell is going on. Ask around. Socio, que bola?
Bellomonte on the Via Blanca Hwy above Guanabo is open and jammed on Friday-Sunday. Halfway full Monday-Thursday.
$1 for domestic beers, sodas, $2 for imports, HC Loco, $6 for a HC Rum bottle. There is a good homemade rum available at a house nearby for $2. Guy named Chuchi can get it for you, be low key about it.
Girls are about $20 a pop for the pros, and whatever you work out with the freelance amatuers. More pros tho'.
Noticed four black undercover MININT types one evening. One Chiva was wearing a white Iverson jersey, another with a Carter Toronto jersey, another huge fat pig was wearing a dark blue Orlando shirt with an American flag on it. Fatty guarded the ring leader with a green short sleeve shirt and black pants, as he pissed in woods. These guys were not so undercover------they ordered import beers before the domestics ran out and took taxi's home, when most everyone else walked back.
The music was repetitive, the CD drive was broken, and the music was the same every night. The night of Fidel's fall, the disco, as well as all discos around the island closed at midnight.
Met a French-Canadian guy from Montreal who had been to Cuba four times. He tried to tell me the very attractive blond chica he met on the Tropicoco beach wasn't a hooker, and he was only the third guy she had ever been with.
Why are some of you guys so dense?
She was hot, but I didn't see them again there after I spoke with him.
I got bored with the place after a week, but I'd go back for the entertainment value. It's fun watching all the scams in the making. So transparent to me, but not to all the new extranjero El Punto's.
Do the Police bother Americans? Or are they after the Cubans?
I've had some weird situations with undercover types that approach me with questions. I had a uniform officer stand outside, a rental casa(with a girlfriend), many years ago.
Cuba spends a ton of cash and energy on undercover activity. Americans are #1, under their watchful eyes. Some girls, directly or indirectly report back as formal, or informal field agents. No better way to get intimate and potential dicey details on a guy.
About a year ago, a guy was caught at the airport with a stash of homemade Cuban porn videos. He wasn't American, but I'm sure if, and when he returns to Cuba, he will be tracked more than I ever have.
It's not a place to mess around with politics, young girls, drugs, or porn.
Well no cops bothered me, but one decided to watch me in Varadero as I was seen chatting to a few ladies at a street bar, so I finished my beer and just as he went by me I left the bar and went around the corner, he soon followed me so I walked around the same block 3 times making sure he was following me. Then back to the bar for a beer and rested myself before hailing a taxi to hotel, some of them look as if they needed the exercise!
I just got back from a week from Guanabo. The town is basically dead. Due to the great decrease in tourism, most of the casas have surrendered their license or rent only to Nationals. There is no nightlife to speak off. Even the Cocinita which was a 24 hr gathering place, now closes prior to midnight due to the lack of clients.
I would only recommend Guanabo to those who are there to relax with their regular lady. Even the Playa of Santa Maria, where I had found many of my friends, has been "shut down" by the police. Everytime I went to the beach, the truck that is used to transport prisoners, was visibly placed. My guy told me that la "lacra" has an operation almost every weekend. Most of the ladies are afraid of going to the beach. Their pictures are taken by the police via long range lens. (Look to the left for the guy on the rock with the mounted binoculars.)
In the photo section, I have post some pics. The ladies are old friends and have been seen before. Sorry no new talent this trip. Maybe in August.
Cubiche
That is why I recommend the country side of Cuba. Cubiche you are expereiencing what I saw last August in this beach. It was really dead. The country side is another story.
El Cubanito
Thanks for the reports El Cubanito and Cubiche. I have been to Playa del Este many times (usually staying at Tropicoco or Club Atlantico) was thinkn bout heading back there in the fall. The last iem I was there the town and the beach were kinda quiet to(this is going back about two years now). The best place I found for action was a little club up the top of the road that leads down from the Via Blanca to the beach by the Tropicoco. I think the name of the club was El Trebol or some variation thereof. Have either of you two been in this club recently?
If the Playa is still no go by the fall will head back to Cienfuegos which at times can be a bit more open of a town.
