Semana Santa / Holy Week Mongering in Bogota.
Hello guys I will be at Bogota on easter Sunday just for 1 day do casas and strip clubs still be open on this day?
Hey everybody,
I thought I'd bump the question as I have the same question, though broader. I am considering ending my Medellin-Bogota trip with overlap in Bogota during March 29-April 1. Will there be many / any casas or massage places open during this time? I've heard Medellin will be a bust. So, I thought I'd check on Bogota since its a bigger city. Another option I'm considering is Aruba during that time. Thanks!
Easter Sunday. Seriously dude?
Hello guys I will be at Bogota on Easter Sunday just for 1 day do casas and strip clubs still be open on this day?
If you don't already have a novia in Bogota you will be most likely be shit out of luck. I avoid the entire the Semana Santa in all Latin Countries. Especially Easter Sunday! I have been to a few countries during Easter week but it was always with a girlfriend and her family or we would go to a beach resort for the week. You might get lucky at one of the beach towns but I highly doubt it and Bogota. Forget it. Maybe Santa Fe, check with Woodman about that. You can expect most businesses and even restaurants to be closed too.
The street side is noisy.
I stayed at hotel San Francisco walking distance to Santa Fe. It was a nice place clean and quiet. Several restaurants and bars nearby.
The windows are not soundproof, and the TransMilenio is right in front of the hotel so the street side is very noisy. Ask the hotel to give you a room not on the street side. They can be fully booked and not be able to move you. I decided to move out after one night.
