Reporting live From Sosua…
How about if I start from the beginning. I tend to write a lot as you will see. No details left out. Expect full reports as the days progress.
Well…I did not expect this trip to begin the way it did. I was happy with the flight from the west coast. It was the only flight combo coming and going where from SFO to POP one does not have to spend the night at a hotel either going or coming back. Eleven and a half getting there and will be 12.5 hours coming back for a price of $522 RT.
I show up at the airport for my 11pm flight, Delta finds my reservations and tells me my Passport has expired and I won’t be able to board the plane. I am flabbergasted and envisioning my whole trip go up in flames. Behind the counter a guy comes over and tells me it is possible to renew my passport in one day and he explains to me how to do it. Luckily, I live around San Francisco where there IS a Passport Agency. As I understand it, only the largest cities have them. In order to catch tomorrow nights plane, I have to get my passport made the following day and try to fly out that same night. The change in flight penalties cost me 100 bucks.
I went home, surfed the internet how to do this, and put my plan together for the following day. By 2:30am I was done and ready to execute when morning came.
To get a passport renewed in one day, it is mandatory to make an appointment with the passport agency. The agency makes the appointments over the phone and it is completely automated. I made my appointment at 1:30am !!! The first available agency appointment was for 11am tomorrow morning. Bring your old passport, show your flight information proving you have a flight very soon so your build is expedited, and bring two 2x2 inch passport photos. The photos I did not have so at 8am that morning I went to the UPS shipping center and had the photos made. The photos cost 5 bucks.
All went smooth at the agency, I was asked to return not before 3pm to pickup the passport. That night I was back at the airport for my 11pm flight. If you ever have to go through this process take note, an 11am appointment gets you a 4pm passport the same day if your lucky enough to get the appointment within the next working day like I was.
Well, I make my 11pm flight, the first leg to Atlanta was painful as I had a middle seat due to a full flight. The guy next to me weighed about 300lbs and encroached into half my seat which is completely not fair to me. Should make all the big boys sweat it out with each other I say. Let all us skinny asses sit with each other and enjoy the room as reward for taking care of ourselves.
ATL to POP was more uneventful. Winfried at the New Garden had a taxi waiting for me like he said he would. The taxi guy wanted to charge $1000 pesos because the “hotel arranged this”, then I told him the latino way, finger up in the air, wagging back and forth, “I am not paying any more than 700 pesos (slightly more then $20 and in the past I was paying $650. Needless to say, I won.
So I walked into the NG and there were about 8 girls there hanging around. Only one caught my eye. HOT HOT HOT body and cute. You might as well know I go for the chicks with the low rider jeans that button just above their pussy to show off their flat stomach. Combine that with a cute face and I get the chills… and cant wait to bang her.
I check in with Wilfried and I can tell he is happy to see me. After a few days with a room in the new wing I will move to in the old wing. I have good things to say about the new wing. The rooms look much nicer. First things first though, my bags get unpacked, I get familiar with the new coded strong box safe. I go to Progresso and take out 10,000 pesos. I buy drinks for the room as there are 2x2 fridges inj the new wing. Every time I left the hotel the HOT HOT HOT chick is watching me and grinning. I then unpack, and flop down on the bed… beat.
