Hey amigo, I dig your reports, info and posts.
Not sure why you enjoy leaving Sao Paulo.
I really dig the place and am sad when I have to leave.
Taker easy ...
Sao Paulo have a lot to offer, but it's just not my cup of tea. It's to huge, rainy, "cold", polluted and stressed for my liking. When I'm there I miss Rio with it's beauty, beaches and laid back atmosphere.

Entendido ... I think, however, since I've spent quite a bit of time in SP over the past several years, I've met and made lots of friends and have gotten to know the city, I LOVE it!!
Have fun in Rio entao :)
Sao Paolo is a huge concrete jungle. It takes a long time to get used to all of the different neighborhoods in such a gigantic metropolis. Each are has its own flavor, just like any large city; however, the people and culture are based on the business side of the country. Everything is here is fast, busy and demanding. As hard as these people work, they also have a very playful side. Their leisure activities can be from the sophisticated to the downright raunchy. Look at the extremes in the P4P game, restaurants hotels, anything you can think of under the sun. Same thing with women: You can find all types, all kinds if you take the time to look around. I know the city lacks the breathtaking beauty of Rio de Janeiro, but for variety and diversity of options, Sao Paolo is really second to none in my opinion.

Cafe Photo is not open on Sundays.
GK
I went to Bamboa the other night. R200 to get in, and I'm pretty sure that counts against your drinks rather than the strict 4 drink exchange. Though with most drinks it still works out to R200 for 4 (expensive).
There were some beautiful women there, but I either got unlucky or the place is extremely expensive. First of all, they all wanted to go to the hotel to the right of the place (i.e., not to my hotel). Secondly, the prices I got quoted were R400 for an hour, R600 for all night, R450 for an hour in the hotel next door, and R800 for an hour at my hotel (3 different girls...the R450/R800 was from the same girl).
I went home and called an escort agency. They sent me an OK-looking girl for 250. Based on my single experience (which might be an outlier), I prefer Kilt to Bamboa.
I am finally going to make my first stay in Sao Paulo and I am excited! I will be staying very close to Paulista Ave and I see its also close to Augusta. I will definitely have to check out some of the joints on Augusta.

I went out last night with a former Cafè Photo girl, she told me that the Cafè is closed and nobody knows when and if it will re-open.
Kassab, SP's major, is a bloody fag and is giving an hard time to all the fun places.

John Todd,
I am heading to SP on Sunday. I searched CL for Julia but found no hits. Can you provide contact info?
Thanks for your help.
Definitely NOT GF. Well, I guess they are. But you have to pay a R130 fee! Ouch!
Hi
Since it's my first time in SP I was wondering if there's any kind of dress code in places like Kilt / Bamboa. I was planning some nice jeans and a shirt. Is the implicit expectation something more fancy?
Any comment would be appreciated
You will be fine

Maksoud Plaza is so big, that no ones notices when you enter with a girl. Well, that's my experience.
The good thing about registering a girl is SAFETY. If the girl is registered with her ID, it is much less likely that she would commit violent crime on you. Brazil is a dangerous country after all ...
