Where would be better to stay Hotel Botero Plaza or Hotel Florida? Florida is closer to my chica's casa, but for a first timer to MDE which would be better?
This is my 4th trip to Colombia.

Let us know if it was a positive experience.

The Rabbit
Hotel Botero is in Centro I believe while Florida is on La setenta. You can walk around La Setenta all hours of the day and night. I spent 4 trips here already. I start off my 2009 trip there for a few nights then move into the Penthouse. I like the Florida.
I just booked a room here. The guy Andrew Campion was easy to deal with. Any people have used his places before? Hope its legit.
Yes, Andy is a good guy. I've stayed with him as well in one of the best apartments he rents. You can trust him. The apartments are very good and close to everything you need.
Yes, there are cheaper places but for the value, location, the big plus of dealing with someone who is a native English speaker and it being your first trip to Medellin, doing business with Andy is a good choice. Now you can relax, practice your Spanish and keep reading about Medellin.
Possibly already known to people here... but I have used the following people and I have nothing bad to say. Nice apartments and very helpful.

Hi,
I am from Mexico City, I speak spanish, I want to go to Medellin in March 12, I found this forum and I think its a good place with a lot of very interesting information. But I am confused because in the forum of Costa Rica, hotels have the label "GirlFriendly" and Medellin Hotels or Apartments not. ¿what is the reason? ¿are there hotels or apartments girlfrienly in Medellin? Can you tell me some? And try to read all the forum but it is somewhat confusing for me to identify girlfriendly hotels or apartments.
I wants a hotel or apartment girl friendly near to the action.
Regards

Frank Casio!
In late may or early June for one month. Can someone refer me to a cheap apartment for a month like 500-800 per the whole month is good safe area.
Thanks
Frank seems like a great guy with tons of knowledge of the area but does anyone know about the area of the apartment? Is it safe to walk around at night? Are the restaurants good in the area? The girls in mayorista are ok right? But not stellar? Let me know if you stayed with him. I like the price and he is really friendly and nice but I'm just not sure about the area since it is not Poblado.
