M.Bonnet,
Good to hear that it worked out for you. Sounds like you had a good crowd. Did you have any problems getting in on a Fri. night? It's not always possible for a single.

Iseeu,
You have to make a reservation because they (are supposed to) limit the number of singles... So just have a phone call in the begining afternoon (they open at 4:00 pm) leave your first name and that's it!
I think both Wednesday and Friday evening are open to a limited number of singles.
You should definitively try it. I hope to come back in Paris soon.
I do agree with Mr Bonnet : as I mentioned in a previous post months ago, La Cheminée is a first-class place for mongers. Although the couples present there do not all look in their twenties, action is widespread and you can expect to participate in some three-, four- or five-somes the moment you've left your coat at the entrance.
As I am not a Parisian myself, I merely have the opportunity of visiting the place in the afternoons, but can guarantee action almost all the time.
Numerous other similar places exist or have recently opened in Paris, but La Cheminée remains N°1 for attendance of couples.
Among other well-known, well-attended haunts where single men are accepted, let me mention "Chris et Manu" (rue de la rochefoucault), l'Abys, le Pélican.
When in Paris, just buy the weekly issue of Pariscope (mag for entertainment and restaurants) and scan the advertisement for those places in the last pages.
Hi about Eva, was she blond and tall ? Cause I also knew one girl with a nasty scar on the chick but from poland (she said). It seems like a vengeance from arab pimps who protect their territories
Kalimero
I guess it could be the same girl as this one was Blond (but anyone can be blond!) and relatively tall.
She said she was from Macedonia but she was maybe from Poland.
Where did you see her?
Denis
M. Bonnet, Frenchie,
I agree that this is the best of the Paris clubs open to singles. I've been a number of times but only on Weds. evenings. I wasn't aware that it was open for single men on Fri. nite as well.
I will be visiting Paris by myself in Jan 2005. The purpose of the trip is to enjoy myself. I was in Paris last year with a group of "nice" people lol and everything was arranged for me i.e. hotel meals and sightseeing. This time I have to make arrangements on my own. I am asking for help.
Hotel...what area? any specific hotel recommendations? I prefer not to pay much, what about typical nitely rates? are they guest friendly?
Mongering areas....where are they? are they safe? what should I expect?
Transportation...Obviously I don't intend to drive..so what options are available to me?
Thanks...I know I am asking for a lot of info..But I don't know much about Paris (including language)

I can help with hotels recommendation but how much would you like to spend per night?

CoolGuy
You can find many hotels in that site. About transportation, the metro system is very good in Paris. You can find a map of the lines and the stations at www.metro.fr. Enjoy your stay there.

I would really want it to be $75 to $100 per night. It should be conveniently located to tourist and mongering areas. It should be comfortable not necessarily luxurious. I know that Paris is divided into like 20 zones and at this point I don't even know what zone I should stay in. As you can see I need a lot of help LOL. I know Paris is expensive so please tell me if my budget for hotel is too low. Thanks.

Oh...and that is US $
Cool Guy
It is really a low budget for hotel downtown Paris!
The US$ versus Euros exchange rate is not helping you.
Anyway, I will recommend the IBIS hotels, there are several in Paris downtown, I know the one in the 15 district as it used every weeks by some Tcheky escort girls and if you stick to the chain hotels , they will not care who you bring in, if you choose a small family hotel it may be different.
You should be able to find deals for the Ibis hotels on the Internet at 80€ per night including Breakfast.
Good luck
Denis

Like I say the best hotel bargains are in the east side. 50 Eur and up for a single. All of the good mongering areas in Paris are easily accessible by Metro or RER. What is 15 minutes on a subway? You don't have to be right downtown anyway. Most of the good mongering spots are not in Central Paris.
This is the link to a map published in WSG. It shows the Paris police activity related to working girls. As you will see, there is plenty of mongering amongst the east side hotels I recommend.

Couldn't agree more with what has previously been written : IBIS hotels are one of the most convenient ways of spending a few nights in Paris without worrying about :
- cleanliness
- the receptionist
- the safety of your belongings
- what you'll have for breakfast
- spending too much
- what the lady you'll take to your bed will think of you
Just visit their site (English version):
http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/index.html
Be sure you book long enough in advance, as January is the month for trade shows in Paris and numerous sales reps want to find accomodation.
Now, for mongering, there are ladies galore, provided you know where to find them. Although you don't seem to speak French, you may find some contacts at www.escortfr.net, a French forum for escorting with lots of contacts of girls (French or international), or at www.leguiderose.net, which provides information on escorts and the way to get in touch with them (I think the latter has an English version). Not to mention the swinger clubs (no guarantee to participate, but you can still eye the cheese).
