Cart Bars on Sukhimvit. REPORTS ONLY

Sometimes I like to visit these bars to just sit and watch people go by. In the past you could see some nice girls but now they are hard of find. Big Arabic families with yelling kids and big shopping bags. The ladies working in the bar who can be barfines are usually old and usually just ask you for drinks all the time.

There is one close to Landmark that has Cambodian staff which are quiet nice.

And no restroom available.

If you don't like the atmosphere just move to the next one.

Later in the evening, usually after 11 pm after all of the other street business shut, you will see "cart bars" start to spring up. They are spread at different spots along Sukhimvit, the biggest consistent concentration I see lately is 5-6 bars lined up from the corner of Sukhimvit / Asoke to the MRT exit (in front of Pala restuarant). I have seen the number of bars increase lately, so it might be a migration of bars that were shut down recently at the backside corner of Soi Cowboy (near the Shell station). I didn't take much interest in these bars before, but lately have seen a number of nicer prospects, so I have sat down a couple times and barfined both times just to see.

The price for drinks and lady drinks cheaper than go go bars. Barfine in both cases was 500 b. I never really asked the price of drinks or lady drinks, but my total bill was never over 1000 b, including leaving some change for the mama-san. To set expectations, IMHO I didn't see any "stunning" girls working at these venues, so don't expect perfection, frills or a go-go bar type atmosphere. Everybody will have a different view, so go see for yourself. Some bars have ladyboys, but they are fairly obvious and innocuous, so no need to avoid a venue just because one is there.

Making a specific report on a cart bar is a challenge. These bars are a bit difficult to pinpoint as they change locations (depending on setup time where they take their spot) and they don't seem to have names that I have noticed. One had a sign with "Boom Boom", so that was an exception. I pulled from one bar where the mama-san has thick black glasses and another bar which I call the "Burinam Bar" because all the mama-san staff seem to wear Burinam shirts and the girls are from Burinam province.

One of the girls I barfined was an absolute energizer bunny spitfire fuck machine. Name Anty. Claims 20 yo. Impish smile. Circa 40 kg. True spinner, not skinny but "compact". A Cup tits. Unfortunately the bar got closed by a police raid and a non legal girl was found there and possibly in some other cart bars in the area. Some cart bars were full of Ladyboys. These bars can hide the odd gem once and a while. I once found a young cutee at the one right on the corner where terminal 21 is. There was actually no bar fine in my case, I don't know why. We only chatted for a few minutes as she was sitiing at the bar. I compare the experience to more of a street walker type of experience which is maybe why I don't do it too often. The encounter was quite good though and would do it again if I bumped into the right girl.

Since the Cart Bars around cowboy have been mostly cleaned out, I surveyed the Cart bars on Sukhumvit between Soi 3 and Soi 21 (North side). Because there are so many stalls selling stuff, the cart bars mostly did not get started till about 1. 30 AM, because they open in spots vacated by goods selling carts. The main reason was because freelancers from Soi 4 and from Thermae have mostly been disappointing to date. Only one girl worth repeating in recent times.

The black girls were not really out in force just after midnight, between Soi 3 and Soi 15. Looks like they mostly arrive after the cart bars are set up. Very few are really pretty. Last night there was a stunning tall black girl eating and drinking in Soi 23 (different area). I really fancied her, but not much opportunity since I am well know in the area and did not want to be too obvious. A guy already chatting to her was married and he clearly could not part take in sex, however would have been very bad form for me to try to steal her away. I was not even 100% sure she would be available (only 90% chance LOL. Whoops am I being racist? - I hope not. Just based on general observations. I had no clue where she came from even she did say Hello, to me. Not an American or European accent so fair game I guess).

I used to frequent Easy Bar, in Soi 21 Cowboy side till it was closed by police, along with all the other cart bars there. Those bars used to open much earlier at around 10 PM or 11 PM. In Sukhumvit, the other side of Asoke, cart bars officially open at midnight or so, but some of them hardly get going till almost 2 AM. I found two bars with ex-Easy bar staff, unfortunately not including my favorite girls. So I did not manage to find out how to contact my old favorite Noi with amazing tits just yet. More research required.

The best of the cart bars for girls looks, with half a dozen quite pretty girls, was called something like P. Bunnies Bar (cardboard temporary sign), and was located very close to stairs up to the BTS and Terminal 21.

I was at the new "Easy Bar" for a while (no signage), till close to 2 AM, but lost patience in the end. Some girls had still not yet turned up for work, and even the music had not yet started up. The staff told me the Police do not allow a sign. I don't know why. Perhaps it cannot officially be called a bar.

These bars could be very useful for a guy who wants to get a girl very late well after 2 AM, but it is rather too late for me.

Plenty of Japanese guys walked past with pretty girls by there side, clearly picked up from the Thermae I would guess.

I think the Cart Bars are a great and underutilized resource. It will take some searching, but gems in the rough can be found.

My experience dates back to the last week of August, so just a few weeks ago. It was a Tuesday night and I had brought a girl back to my hotel form Mixx. To be honest I don't really remember seeing any girls that I liked as I trudged down the Soi. As Syzygies laid out in his report a lot of Africans but non of them appealed to me.

Yes a few Cart bars are gradually returning in Sukhumvit road, at least East of Asoke, in some side Sois too, and in Soi 23 for example. They probably have to pay high kick backs to be allowed to operate. I don't have any particular place to recommend.

This is a bit dated, it is from my visit two years ago, sorry. But saw this new thread and thought I'd contribute what little I can.

Flight was delayed and I got to my hotel. Ambassador - after the disco downstairs closed. The last of the cuties were finished streaming out (both with and without customers) and I was humping my luggage up the cobblestones and into the lobby to check in.
