Gulf News is reporting that from August 1 no visa change runs will be allowed.
If this is true for visit visas, and there is no clarity (as usual for Gulf News, top journalism again!) in the article about whether it applies solely to changing from visit to employment visa or applies to renewing a 30-day visit visa, which most WGs do, then it could have a major impact on the scene here.
The article is here

Perhaps there is a forum member who is more au fait with the new immigration laws who can shed a little more light on this.
From a personal point of view, my PRC GF is planning to come back after Ramadan, this could make it impossible for her to stay more than a month. I leave for China tomorrow night to visit her there. So any info that I can pass on will be appreciated.
Be careful out there.

As you say, quality of reporting is on a par with the Sun. On the other hand its as cryptic as the Times crossword.
I'm half guessing here but I believe what it means is that if you want to change visa STATUS you will have to leave the country for at least 1 month - eg changing from visit visa to work visa. There were mutterings a year ago that you could only renew your visit visa 3 times and then would need a month back home but nothing happened.
As usual in dxb we won't know until it happens.

I have heard there will be a 3x limit on renewing monthly visas but who knows? Monthly visa run currently around 1k rising to 1.4/1.5k...all rumours. Would have to assume cost of mongering and cost of girlfirnds will go up! If you want to keep your GF then may have to consider a resident visa...now in more limited supply and prices rising. Some things to consider now for sure...
I'm aware some girls have left the scene and are now back in China mainly for holidays with kids and escape summer, but will be interesting to see if they return. Seems there has been much talk of girls going to work in surrouning PRC friendly countries...
I dont know where to start. Can anyone of you professionals give me any suggestions. I would deeply appreciate it. Thanks
There are a lot of recuitment agencies. I do not know which are the most reliable but I would stear clear of any that demand a membership fee, or other charges. The reputable ones should make thier money from employers in finders fees. Google Middle East Recuitment and a lot come up.
One does a regular feature on one of the local English language radio stations but I have forgotten the name.

Hi,
There is a possibility that I may re-locate to Dubai for a while, for tax purposes.
Obviously, on previous visits, I have come across the "censorship" of any "women related" sites on the internet.
How, if at all, can you by-pass this in Dubai?

I am not job hunting. I have partial ownership of a successful Oil service company and might set up in Dubai to achieve more business there as well as taking large share deals tax free. I would not know where to start recommending how to find a job there.
I have recently gone to work for a company that has me based in Ras Al Khaimeh. Is this place dead as far as "Action" goes?!?! I have gone to the RAK hotel, Club 88(?) I believe, and found it to have a few Philipina ladies but they seem to all be paired up. I have hooked up with a pimp taxi driver that has supplied a couple of part timers. One Philipina that was unacceptable and a Iranian that was just barely acceptable. Any reccommendations???

Hi,
I'm going to Dubai on August. I'll stay proberbly somewhere near Sharjah. Does anyone have any good recommendation to where I can go and monger? I'm keen on trying some Europeans or Ethiopions. Had too many PRC in Malaysia. Advice on the rate expectations as well.

Has anyone ever used an Escort Agency in Dubai?
I saw the picture of a gorgeous Brazillian on one of the sites and called her up. She was asking for a minimum 2 hour session at 3500 AED. I told her that this was slightly above market price and hung up. What is the advantage of paying that much?
