U.S. Ass-hole alert! By the way I'm a very straight-looking white guy.
A new security guy on the US side of the Sentri line (he's white, with glasses and brownish-blonde hair and i think sideburns) is really messed up. Quotes:
"For the last time, are you bringing back anything from Mexico like prescription drugs or anything", after asking twice! Then he made me empty all my pockets right there at the ID counter. i pity anyone with a cigar or viagra or valium or whatever.
"How long are you staying in San Diego" this after seeing from my license that i live in l.a. He still asked twice, after i told him i was not staying in san diego, he would not believe i was going back to l.a.
There was more BS but I don't remember it all. Good luck.
Expect EVERY officer to be an asshole.
Expect to be interrogated. Tell the truth. You are in TJ chasing the girls. It is totally cool to say it. I say it EVERY time I return.
Don't bring anything illegal back. Don't be stoopid.
You are dealing with guys who joined the force to save the country and here they are asking stoopid questions to freshly laid mongers returning with a silly grin on their face. How depressing must that be? Put yourself in their place.
EXPECT EVERY OFFICER TO BE AN ASSHOLE. Do not lie. Do not be afraid, you have jsut as much right to cross the border as anyone and ASSHOLE officers have NO right to stop you from doing that:
1. UNLESS YOU LIE,
2. DON'T HAVE YOUR PAPERWORK IN ORDER
3. ARE CARRYING SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD NOT BE CARRYING
It is a crime to lie to a Federal Law Enforcement Officer so DON'T. Once you lie they can do all kinds of fun things like detain you, deport you, deny entry etc. etc. All you want to do is go home after sessioning some lusty latina(s) but you got some illegal drugs in your stuff -- stoopid, you come off like someone they'd like to get to know better ("walking probable cause").
You know what I mean.

Team Juanita is a credible organization and the girls are as pictured. I know, I took a lot of the pictures. What you see is what shows up at the door. The service is honest and most of the girls are a lot of fun. Many are housewives etc earning extra cash etc but they know what they are doing, it is not a scam it is totally legit.
Don't order a girl that you are not happy with in the pictures. Get on the phone and talk to the service, they are there to help you and will be most accomodating. You can consider this an endorsement.

"I was harassed by a Philipino agent. He could smell the chicas' perfume in my clothes and became very jealous. I assume he could never afford the chicas on his wages. I answered all his stupid fucking questions while wrote down date, time, his name, badge number and notes. He was shaken badly. He asked me why I had to write down his name. I calmly told him I am an attorney who likes to collect facts. He really shit in his pants!"
I was harassed by a older Philipino at the checkpoint as well. This guy was in the first line, second guard by the back. He work black leather gloves and thought he was tough s***. It was Thursday, 5-06-06 around 5:30pm. I've never had problems with the other guards until this day. He gave me attitude and told me "You don't know what your talking about!" I was tire, hungry and just wanted to leave. Had forgotten about it until I saw your post. Good going in your actions.
I too have had engagements with agents on several occassions. Most recently, I returned from Windsor, Canada, and at the checkpoint, I was read the riot act for not carrying my passport. It went on for 10 minutes. The agent was a fucking asshole.
Many years ago (pre 9/11), visited TJ with friends, and was fucked with when coming back. I get to the agent checking IDs, give him my DL, and he asks, "Who is the president of the United States?" I kiddingly reply, "Uhm, I don't know." The agent gives back my DL, and says, "OK." Walked about 15ft, stopped, and quietly wait for my buddies to come through. Out of fucking nowhere, an agent yells, "I thought I told you not to stand there! Didn't I tell you! Didn't I!" I was dumbfounded (WTF MF??@@!!) Never seen the guy before. I was only in the spot for a few seconds...WTF? I looked around, and replied, "Me?" While pointing directly at me, he responded, "Yeah, YOU!" I really wanted to hand his FUCKING ass on a plate. He was an Asian fella with glasses. Man, I really wanted to put my foot in his cu. What a fucking asshole.
Apparently, the BP continues to hire MENTALLY ILL persons. What concerns me most, in this post 9/11 era, the agents have even more powers. Scary, really.

I am not trying to defend the BP agents but think about the job. They get to deal with all kinds of drunk, obnoxious people every night, all for a little better then minimum wage. They can’t be to smart or they would never have made a career out of a job that most resembles working at a fast food window. For most of them this is the closest they’ll ever get to any kind of authority.
I flew into San Diego last Friday night and headed strait to the border. I have been staying at the Travel Lodge on the US side but their prices keep going up. I used to stay for $50 including tax but they now want about $75 on weekends. Since I only use the place to store my things, park my car, and sleep for a couple of hours in between trips to the Zona, I thought it was a little to high. I decided to try the Holiday Motel instead. What a mistake this was. Do not stay at this flea bag. It was only $50 but was as bad as the $5 no-tells across the border. Dirty describes every aspect of this place. It was worth a try but I’ll never go back. The next night I stayed on the other side at the Hotel Hacienda de Santiago. It got some good reports and I’ll say it was clean and a good value for $45. The only problem was the noise. I could have tolerated the street noise but some prick vendor with a loud speaker seemed to spend most of his night right outside my window. All I heard was tamales, tamales, tamales, tamales…well you get the picture.
I did my usual 2 SG’s on Friday, 3 over all day Saturday, and got 1 in right before I made my run back across and to the airport on Sunday morning. Like always, some were good and some were bad but, also like always, I had a great time. The food, the Girls, the whole different atmosphere then we see on US soil is what always draws me back.

NEVER TAKE CRAP FROM FEDERAL AGENTS. What is wrong with you people? Unless you are carrying something or otherwise in the WRONG, why the fuck to you tolerate bad treatment from these people?? They work FOR YOU.
The first time I get shit from one of these clowns, I will ask him for a complaint form and take the two hours to complete it. He will NOT win. I might lose some sleep but he will NOT win.
I understand it's late, you were screwing girls in TJ, maybe you had some beer, popped a viagra etc. etc. OK. You do not deserve to be treated badly by US Customs officers.
Sheesh.....

I'll be in the San Diego area on Sat. May 13th and will make my annual run into Tijuana - any mongers would like to meet up with me? I'll be at the McDonald's just over the border at about 5pm. Will spend the next few hours in Tijuana and banging some SW's in the alley and then head to CC and then Adelitas.
In fairness, those were the only two times where my patience was tested. In the many crossing I have made, the agents were cordial and professional. Although the TJ crossing incident took place well over 10 years ago, it still boils me. BTW, I am a local boy who was born in Balboa Naval Hospital, and lived across the bay on Coronado.
Yes, I agree that the wages paid are weak, considering their responsibilities, cost of living in So Cal, etc... I am all to familiar with the public sector. The salaries paid to our frontline women and men have been stagnant for many years, in comparison to jobs creations.

"On effective dates below, all travelers to or from the Americas, the Caribbean and Bermuda will be required to have a passport or other document that establishes the bearer’s identity and nationality to enter or re-enter the United States. On December 31, 2006, the requirement will be applied to all air and sea travel to and from Bermuda, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Mexico, and Canada. On December 31, 2007, the requirement extended to all air, sea, and land border crossings."

The above was discussed and made aware to me on my most recent crossing by an agent in Detroit. In summary, you will either need a passport or ID and birth cert. for re-entry into the U.S.

I went south of the border last Sunday. First stop a/b around 6 pm.. It was pretty dead in there. I have been in there on Sundays before and I know it's not as crowded as a Fri. or Sat. but this was ridiculous. Plenty of seats and I just did a walk through just to see if there were any hotties around. After two laps I'am thinking, maybe the other posts were right, a/b was lacking on talent.
I then went to l/c.. It was a little bit more crowded in there so I got a seat and had a drink. The strip show was winding down with the last girl doing her thing. Then, they had about 6 girls show off their bodies on the dance floor. I notice one I would do so I asked the waiter about her. He told me she was new and she didn't go upstairs. At least this saved me some money by not buying her a drink.
He then pointed out another girl, small spinner type, cute. I told the waiter to bring her over after her dance. Her name is Suzy and she is from Cancun. I didn't actually see her strip, but I think she is a stripper there. She is about 5'2" and very flauca.
I buy her a drink then head upstairs. What I like about this girl, she loves to kiss. The first 10 minutes was just making out on the bed. Because time was running short I daty, which she loves then to mish for the finnish. I didn't ask for a bj because of the time, so I don't know if she does cbj or bbbj. Fun girl, I would repeat.
After the session, went back to a/b. Again, not crowded at all but at least there were some hotties now. Only problem with the hotties, they look good but they seem to have the attitude of a rob. I know it is not true of all of them but because I just finished with a good session, I didn't want a let down.
Getting my fill of eye candy, I headed over to T/b. This place was also dead. Marielos, is back home in Culiacan and I didn't see anything worth banging so I headed back over to l/c.. By the time I got back to l/c, Suzy was gone for the night. There was one cute girl that I wanted to take up but she was with a local for a least a couple of hours. Because she was tied up with the local, I never found out her name.
Also at l/c, for any of you regulars who goes there, did you notice the one girl who resembles Tara Patrick? At least her face does, her body isn't bad, but it doesn't come close to the porn star. Has anyone taken her upstairs? And how was she? By the way she was with some guy who kept buying her beers so I never got to speak with her either.
I got tired of waiting for these girls to free up so I headed out to h/k.. My report will end there in the h/k section.
As a side note. Depending on what agent you get, I actually had a cool one on the way back. The agent asked me what I was doing in Mx? I told him I was meeting some friends there. He asked were they female? I told him yes. He then asked a weird question, he asked if I touched any of them. I told him I tried to! He smile then said next in line.

Don't act like an idiot, be firm and respectul, carry your valid papers and don't bring illegal stuff, then you should be leaving the booth in a minute. It is sure that lots of rotten apples are on the governement paylist, but as everywhere else where you have to interact with public, nothing motivates more you to give bad or minimal service to someone pissing you off.
About the guys working in Detroit, lots of truck drivers avoid that area especially for the traffic delays and the bad reputation of the service offered at the tunnel and the bridge stations. Another infamous officer up there is a big black woman who give shit to several different persons I know. I don't know how she did it, but she almost got an anti-fan club now. I guess that's the tough inner city context making that. Personnally, I generally have good service from the US border officers I meet. I even had lots of interesting conversations with on-duty officers in TX and WA. Against the bets, even I have the Canadian citizenship, the Canadian officers are the ones giving me the most troubles. Several times, they're acting as pros, but not always. Per exemple, I strongly suggest you to avoid heading up to Canada via the Detroit-Windsor tunnel station. They held me there for almost two hours for no reason at the same time they were releasing suspecious people (in my book) next to me.
Quick question - when you buy gas in Mexico, is a tip for the attendant expected? If so, how much?
The guy who filled my tank also washed the front/rear windows.
As an aside, by my calculations, gas currently costs $2.58/gallon in TJ. (7.41 pesos per liter * 3.785 = 28.04685 pesos per gallon / 10.86527 current exchange rate = $2.58US per gallon.)
The key to consistent $3 cab rides versus 5 is to approach cab drivers just after they drop off their current fare (or while they're doing so).
ZONA BOUND: when you get to the TJ border walk over to the area where your regular cab ride back from Mexico stops (It's just across the new archway and at the base of the stairway; also next to northbound traffic). At that spot ask most any driver (Taxi Libre works best) as he drops off his fare "tres dollares para adelitas?", etc. and he'll be quite glad to see you.
USA BOUND: similarly, when looking to head back, signal a driver (Taxi Libre works best) just after he drops off his fare and is moving away from adelitas, etc. Asking "tres dollares para linya USA" at that point will be met with marked enthusiasm.
The reason for the warm reception of course, is that the drivers otherwise have to clear drop zones immediately. It works best at the busiest times when waiting taxis on the other hand will not be as excited to accommodate. I might also remind (if you RTFF) that sitting in the front seat is the local custom.
I recommend putting the extra $2 toward beers.
To be honest I have had bad experiences with the officers maybe 5 out of 1000+ times going to Mex. I would understand if these guys were having bad days with some of the people they deal with but I haven't really seen it. On the other hand I went to Canada once and the guys were dicks. Both entering and leaving it took at least 5-10 minutes each way with all of the questions and comments from these guys. I have heard the same thing from many people who visit Canada on a regular basis and I am not sure what's the deal.
