Your experience about Sosua is nearly same for people who come there first time. When is was there the first time I saw it nearly same like you. And I couldn't speak nearly any Spanish. But now I been there often time and my spanish is getting better. As I know now many of the girls and talk with them, things going good so far. When I talk with girls and they same to be bad I even get informed by other chicas or people from the bar. You can find really nice girls there, but of course the opposite two. So when you go there is the best that you walking around with someone who has some experience and can tell you witch one is good and can also talk Spanish. With some girls are like good friends for me there, even if I didn't bring them home, but we can talk about everything and that's important. Sometimes I offer them a drink to talk and just treat them nice, but knowing, I will not bring here home. The thing with the girl which likes to touch your dick and on same time your wallet to, is known there. So when I'm there or work in any third world country, I never have a wallet, special at nighttime. As I said your bad experience there, was a bad start, but believe me, when you speak the language and been there often, you will like it.come on we all learn in life and pay for it, but it will never stop os mongering. For that is a Guide like this good, where you can find many beginning information for what to watch out and what to do.
I will go back there in December cus I loven it.
There are plenty of great chicas around!
Not that many, lot of work to find them.
To my mind's eye, you don't need a bar full of 10s to have great time down here I just need one or two each night who makes the grade and if you find a keeper, spend a couple days with a novia.
If we were all waiting to fuck 10s I don't think many of us would be fucking at all!
One should never eat raw salads in a foreign country. You might get away with it a few times but the one time you dont you will suffer. I was sick in bed for two days with the chills and feeling very weak from some food I ate.
It's not necessarily the salad that you get sick from. It's the fact that you are not used to the bacteria. I have several friends who have recently had stories exactly like yours down in Sosua. Everybody attributes it to something different, eg. fish, beverages, and in your case salad.
The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago in Brazil. The only place I ate was at my girlfriend's house. Well when I got back home to the States I had the same symptoms as you for a couple of days, plus I had the shits for weeks. I lost about 20 pounds. I finally went to the doctor and she said that it was traveler's diarrhea. She sent me to the pharmacy to get Lactobacillus Granules over-the-counter. It is simply dried up "good" bacteria that replaces the "bad" bacteria in your digestive tract that is causing you to be sick. After a day or two of adding it to my food I was back to my old self. I even put the unwanted weight back on.
You guys are breaking my heart talking bout the girls of Sosua. I have a trip scheduled for November, staying at Casa Linda and I was really looking forward to going to Sosua. I've been to BB's 4 times and wanted to branch out to something different and try the Sosua scene and now I'm having second thoughts! I've been to classico and I did see a couple beauties but not many but I just figured maybe I need to stay down here a couple days to get the full experience but now I don't know...........Luckily I have my novia incase it's as bad as yall say.
At the discos there are always the same girls. Trust me after 3 or 4 nights you will recognise most of them.
La passion usually has a very good selection of girls, and my best session in sosua were with passion girls.

I've been to La Passions those girls have alot of energy! One of them jumped on my neck hanging from the top of the bar. I was like WTF! I'm not really worried bout me, I'm more concerned about my buddies that I convinced not go to BB's this time and come to Sosua with me but hey...fuk it! I need to experience that zone so whateva happens, happens...I"M GOING AS ACCORDING TO PLAN. I have to see things for myself......I should be okay.
I'm thinking about my first trip end of august.I had settle for BB four nights five days. After reading your posts for the last two weeks I'm confused, HELP.
Passions is the best thing about Sosua .
It's like going to Orlando and not going at Disney (a must see) .

Taxigis, Sosua and Blackbeards are great. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you are more laid back, Blackbeards might be the place for you. I usually spend two nights at blackbeards and three nights at Sosua. Keep reading the posts and I'm sure you will have great time wherever you go.
I thought I would post this link to La Passions because I did not see it anywhere else on this board.

I want to thank everyone for their posts; I intend to visit the Dominican Republic soon, either this month or next, and the information I have learned from here will prove invaluable to me.
Does anyone know how much a taxi (not a motorcycle) would cost to get from Hotel Voramar to La Passions? I'm not sure how far apart they are. Also is it best to pay for taxis in pesos or American dollars?
Thanks in advance
