'twas in the half-light of Finca I first spied my love....
....sorry mate, didn't recognise you! Can't agree about the mens' locker room being in half light, otherwise how do you know what notes you are handing over if it's that bad? Or check you handy to see if your alibi still holds?
Yes, there are some bottom feeders in the club especially at this time of year. But July and August are never the best months to go deep muff diving. Not the season for it......
My advice in descending order of merit (to anyone who cares for it) is as always - avoid the cruisers, avoid those wearing fuck-me shoes, avoid tattooed ladies, watch a man's expression as he leaves the room, and if you can his expression as he hands over the dosh by his locker (this is a real litmus test), avoid girls who obviously are taking no interest in proceedings, avoid those who wander around with a towel around them.
There are diamonds at Finca, you have to search for them.
My solution to a bad lighting situation
Does anyone here bring a flashlight with?
I have a small pocket one which I bring with me because I've left things behind in dark changing rooms.
The darkest of them all is the one at PT Wagenfeld (otherwise known as Dolce Vita).
I think I've already told my story about leaving my passport behind at the valuables locker at Oase once.
Advice for the young at heart....
1- don't look gormless.
2 - ask for change.
3 - ask for the 10 euro gutschein.
For subsequent visits repeat steps 1 through 3
@Shiatsu - any chance of a report on your several visits to Finca? You must have liked something about it to keep going back and donating 20 euros to the girls retirement fund.
Shiatsu, my gaum-like friend, when visiting German clubs "to gorm" is the norm.
From World Wide Words:
"'Gormless' is now mainly an informal British English word that describes somebody foolish, lacking sense or initiative. This comes from a defunct term, usually spelt 'gaum', a dialect word meaning care or attention; in turn this derives from an Old Norse word 'gaumr'.
Though rarely recorded, at one time 'gaum-like' was also around, for someone with an intelligent look about them. Curiously, the verb 'to gorm' also existed, which meant to stare vacantly."
You and Cordelia are two of the most intelligent people I know. Until we meet again, best wishes.

P.S.: Of course, I had no friggin' idea what 'gormless' meant until I looked it up.
