I will say you're dependable.
And you're distinctly rambling before you're done. Still a fun read though.
The figures are likely inflated as was determined here in conversations back in the day when you failed to demonstrate any independent proofs. Regardless you rented a room from the girl, ran her camera for a year and left town with no money as you so confirmed. If there was any big money it certainly didn't trickle down in any shape or form.
After all this time you still can't get it right. I'll get to that shortly.
What independent proof would you like? Shall I post her bank statements? Or just access her webcam account and screenshot her payout history? If you bothered to do a bit of research, you might be able to find info about one webcam site's big mistake. Myfreecams has a monthly contest for the top earners. There's a list on the site showing the current rankings. A few years ago (2016) someone messed up. Instead of just showing the model name and ranking, it also showed the current number of tokens. Number 250 on the list, in less than 15 days, had earned 122,594 tokens. Number 1 had earned 1,772,486 tokens. Tokens are redeemed at 20 per dollar. That comes out to about $6,150 for #250 and $88,600 for #1, now multiply by 2 to get an idea of monthly earnings.

If that's not sufficient for you, go into any popular webcam model's room and keep track of the tips. You won't see offline tips, you won't see things like purchase of content, onlyfans subscriptions or fan club subscriptions, but you'll get a basic idea.
The fantasy that it was "determined" to be inflated by someone with no idea about the industry is silly.
"Regardless, you rented a room. ".
I'm sure I explained the situation in great detail, more than once, 2 years ago. I did not rent a room from her. Both her and I lived in the apartment rent free. We paid utilities and I paid for the internet. I never "ran her camera. " If you knew anything about the subject, you would know that nobody runs the camera for most webcam models. I didn't work with her, other than helping with setup and tear down. None of that was required, but if I wasn't busy I was always happy to help. I didn't even work with her for a year. I was only in the apartment for 9 months. The last 3 months were spent in a different apartment.
I did leave town with no money. Actually, left town with about $2,000 of debt, plus another financial obligation of about $1500. Part of the debt was to my ex roommate. Within 5 months all debts were paid, leaving me completely debt free and with monthly expenses roughly 70% less than when I went to Colombia.
I understand what you're trying to do. I'm supposed to feel bad because 2 years ago I was flat broke. Doesn't work though. I thoroughly enjoyed my year in Medellin. I met great people, made some good friends and had some wonderful experiences. Then I came back home. Within 16 hours of landing, I was working full-time. Within 4 weeks, I was self-sufficient and putting money in the bank. Just over 3 months ago I went back to my old, pre-Medellin, job. My old boss tried for 18 months to get me back. Finally, the offer was too good to pass up. My current income is almost 50% more than when I quit to go to Medellin, and 80% more than I was making 4 months ago. I'm doing better than ever and am reasonably happy about it.
This is an excellent point, is always a bad move to stereotype an entire nation or culture. When one does that they make themselves an easy target. Like the Colombians on our return flights to the states have visas and are often well educated and speak good English. No reason to bring the so called swimming in cash webcam girls into this as there's plenty of more reliable evidence at your fingertips.
Did you simply forget that PL was complaining about girls making money online, completely unconnected with his "illiterate" comments? Seems a reasonable connection to webcam, whereas bringing up Colombians on international flights in response to a mention of "premium Snapchat" doesn't make much sense.
No need for Freud on this one as it actually gets to the heart of the simple difference between those who monger and those who don't. Those who do can push such thoughts out of their mind, and those who don't, can't. Though the discrepancy is noted and he walked right into that one.
Nothing to add.
You sound angry, literally spitting here as you've finally had to respond to some valid points. As you've stated you set the price and tell them to come over. Maybe all you "want" is right down to business, everything with condom, and she beelines to the shower as soon as you pop. This may not happen every time or even most of the time, but it's going to happen a lot if you're inviting over a lot of girls you don't know. And yes, it's often seen as a sign of weakness when you fail to ask for what you want and hold the girl to the terms. That's just the name of that tune, no matter how lovable and successful a monger comes to think he is, or how badly he wants to act superior to those who wish to negotiate particulars. It's very laughable.
You are the last person who should talk about people sounding angry. Do you recall your reaction to the Exito (I assumed it was Exito) incident? What about the great Venezuelan pizza debacle? And let's not forget the Scopolamine Scenario. Have you forgotten what I offered after you insulted and verbally attacked me over something I had nothing to do with? Remember? I offered to take a full day, completely at my expense, to get you away from the things that were obviously stressing you out? Have you forgotten who came looking for me on their next visit to Medellin? Don't you remember all of the PMs you sent me, along with my responses? Did I get angry? Was I verbally abusive? We both know the answers.
Not angry at all. Were my sentences incomplete? Was I straying off subject?
People who are worried about "showing weakness", in my experience, tend to be insecure over their own strength. They beat their chests, or their wives, to show they're strong. They refer to others with perjoratives, thinking it's a sign of strength. It isn't. Conversely, I have no need to pretend to superiority. What's my motto? "Your money, your dick, your business. " I don't need to act superior. Within the realm of being me, there is no one in the world who is better at it. Heck, if you can prove you're better at being me than I am, I've got $5,000 with your name on it.
I've repeatedly told guys, if something is critical to you, discuss it up front. I've also recommended adjusting your expectations. Learn how to get the most within the existing framework. Do you feel I'm superior because I tell people these things? Or am I superior because I don't consider any one item critical?
I don't know what it's like to have a girl beeline to the shower in a rush to leave. I can't recall a single instance of that happening in Medellin. I've stated many times that I don't get right down to business. I take my time. I'm in no hurry. It's just my experience, the girls seem to respond favorably.
Am I weak because I want a comfortable, relaxed passionate session, that doesn't follow some script? To me that's a strength. Let's look at the other option. Here's a short list: BBBJ, FIV, DATY, DFK, GFE MSOG.
Every one is a chance you're not going to be happy. She takes a look and says no to the DFK, which kills the GFE. You take your pants down and she wants to do CBJ. Now you have to argue to get your BBBJ and keep on her to keep her from quitting. Next, she pulls a half block to keep you from going too deep with the FIV. Either you argue some more, or accept going 1 knuckle in. Even if you get the MSOG, the session wasn't what you wanted. You've got 3 or 4 issues to be angry over.
My weak session? She shows up, we talk for a few. I let her put on some music. Maybe get her a drink. I offer to shower with her. It's fun. We dry each other off and she relaxes. There's some light kissing, some touching. No rush. I pay attention to her body language and reinforce what she seems to enjoy. I work my way down to DATY. If I've done everything right, she'll initiate DFK and then move right to BBBJ. Occasionally she'll ask if I want it without condom. I always say it doesn't matter, which usually ends up being BBBJ. Sex follows naturally. Afterwards there's no rush to leave, no run to the shower. We talk some more. After a time she might reach over and start raising my interest. Or she might drift off to sleep. Eventually, one of us will make a move to end the session. Back to the shower for more fun. There's seldom any problem because I have removed all the problem areas. Even if she doesn't give something, I've still had a decent session. Nothing to make me angry, just someone I don't want to repeat with.
Good points about inflation though the figures remain unconfirmed or unsubstantiated. Wish a monger's word on the internet amounted to "confirmation," but sadly that isn't the case so I take it all with a grain of salt for the time being. So there were Facebook girls in 2005 and they were asking the same prices as now? Guess we are stuck with the word of mongers on that one. Some independent, official sources for the rise in living expenses would be nice, as "more than doubled" over 15 years sounds rather drastic. Maybe the whole thesis holds up but it needs a lot more support.
As I recently wrote, in my opinion, the Facebook scene developed from the Mansion and spread from there. If you wish to tell ColombiaLover he's lying about what he says he paid, take it up with him. Then go back through the boards and see what Mansion girls were charging at the time. Afterwards, you can apologize to ColombiaLover.
As for inflation figures, have you forgotten about Google? You can easily bring up the annual inflation figures for any country then calculate the compound interest. You don't have to take anyone's word on it. While you're at it, pull up the Colombian minimum wage and see how much it has risen. If you just look at adding the annual inflation rate, since 2005 inflation rates total about 67%. Of course that doesn't take into effect the compounding effect. Let's say we start with $100 and inflation is 5% annually, how much will the $100 price go up in 5 years? $25! No. It will go up over $27. Over 10 years, instead of $150, it will be $162.89, 15 years yields $207.89 instead of $175. Now let's use Colombia's numbers:
Since 2005, compound effect of inflation on a $100 item $192.83.
Minimum wage 2005:381,500 COP.
2020:877,803 COP.
I was slightly off. Instead of more than doubled, nearly doubled. There's a possibility rents have outstripped inflation, but there's no available evidence to support it. Whether costs increased by 90% or 110%, an unchanged wage is still stagnant.
Ultimately, you appear to be saying we need to do away with the forum entirely. Everything that gets posted is just the word of a monger. We can't believe anything that's posted because it came from a monger. Even things which can be easily verified, from multiple independent sources can't be trusted because it was a monger that pointed it out.
Carry on gentleman. You two have an interesting conversation going on. Stay safe everyone.
