Sosua is the way to go for a newbie to DR!
I have never been to DR for mongering. I plan maybe going to Sousa. I want to know what I should expect to pay for FS for a short time vs. all night?
Where are the best places to find chicas? The clubs like Blackbeards, how is it inside? Is it like a go go bar? Thanks for any help there.
Prices vary from say $30USD to over $100USD for FS. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Add an incentive to the mix...the better she performs, the more you will donate...start low.
Sosua has action all around...on the beach, streets, at the bars, in the casino, etc. Why stay at Blackbeards? It's an ok place to visit in the day just to check it out, but its out of the way from all the action. It's no go go bar. Its a hotel with chicas on site that try to please you for donations. Looks nice inside and out, but again, far from the action.
Anyone else? Feel free to PM me or post here.
Have fun, play safe!
As reported in DR1 today:
Exchange rate helps government
Finance Minister Vicente Bengoa says that the government has met the requirements of the stand by arrangement with the International Monetary Fund despite the rising price of petroleum because of the appreciation of the peso. As reported in Hoy newspaper, he said that the exchange rate has been fluctuating between RD$28-RD$29 to the US$1, or about 100% less than it was eight months.......[he further remarked] that the government has a surplus in its finances compared to what had been estimated for the first quarter of the year. END ---
Guys, as you all know - immediately following the Fernandez election the peso exploded to a level of less than 30 to 1 versus the usd. This level was far less than what many of us enjoyed in mid-2004 when the rate was closer to 53 to 1.
Subsequently, a number of well meaning players on this board predicted that this price level "couldn't last for long", that "it was only a matter of time" before things returned to the way they were before. There was even a rumor floated out there that a large/influential group of AI owners had banned together and were petitioning the government to return the peso to its pre-election price because it was effectively "killing" tourism!
(None of this did a blessed thing)
At this point [imo] it seems that the Fernandez administration is quite content with the position of the national currency and is likely to exert the pressure necessary to insure that it continues to trade at current levels.
A strong peso helps ease the amount of national debt, presents a disciplined financial posture to the IMF, and helps offset the pressure from rising fuel costs.
Don't expect the peso to tank anytime soon if the current administration has anything to say about it. Patience and negotiating skill are going to be the keys to fun in the DR in 2005. ;)
Cheers,
(economic ranting)

I was reading the Sousa section and noticed something about New York Mongers paying sky high prices for pussy.
There is an Sex tour outfit called Domincan Pleasures with the top dog getting his customers from New York. $100 USD for pussy in DR. Shit might as well stay home right. Wrong.
Mexico is 11 to 1 exchange rate so perspective. The probelm is not the exchange rate but mongering dummies. Lets find a way to get the word out.
I will send an email to Charles the operator of Domican pleasures and notify him of this problem. He has a group in Sousa right now and another scheduled for April. PM if you want his email.
