Chal Madagan (Taegu O Pal Pal)
Didn't know they had a red light district in Taegu, but that's the name of it. You travel along the main drag in front of the lotte department store and the Taegu station. You go passed the big theatre where they have all their dramatic stuff after passing the lotte department store. On your left it is. keep going in that direction. Taxi drivers know where it is. They are open to Waeguks too. Most of them are that is. Even the ones with the beauties. They got some real lovelies there too.

DongDeagu Station Area has mucho action!
medic gave some pretty accurate information about the dongdeagu station area. i was approached by no fewer than four ajuma touts all promising pretty young girls. he was also right about hit or miss when talking about the girls that come to the room after the ajuma tout corners you, takes your 40,000 won and leads you to the hotel she keeps her girls at. i had to chase the first girl ajuma sent away. she was uglier than a camels ass! the second girl she sent was about a five, no bj, but let me go doggy. looked around 26 years old. it's all short-time, so that means about twenty minutes of play more or less.
directions: if your looking at the dongdeagu station sign in photo #1, you simply go left on the side walk toward the big blue sign in photo #2 until you see the crossover walk going over the highway next to the little "hi store" shack in photo #3. as soon as i got on the crossover i was approached by the ajuma tout. i walked across the walk, down the left side of the stair case, and continued left up the street near the motels. you'll be approached by more ajuma's along that strip. they'll offer girls for 50-60 but you can get them down to 40 maybe even 30 thousand won. i payed 40 that night. don't be afraid to kick the first girl out and ask for another. so there you go. the [CodeWord116] on deagu. keep it real guys!

Does ANYONE know what kind of place this is??
Hi,
I posted this on the general page, but since it happened in Daegu, it makes sense to post it here too :).
Okay, I been living in Korea a short time and live here in Daegu. Anyway, I was walking down a residential area near a main street by my house when I saw these little tiny bars (I think?). I was already a little drunk and they are close to my home. Anyway, they aren't 'bars' in the regular sense of the word because they had a counter, a few little seats inside and one or two women in their own little room. Again, they were LITTLE area's with a seating area. So, I thought I would give it a try and get a beer. Well, two of the 'bars' wouldn't let me in and since I don't know much Korean yet, I'm wasn't sure why? So, I figure 'third time's the charm' and tried another before heading home. Anyway, a woman greeted me and let me come in. I was relieved because I was ready to pound some more beers in me ASAP ;).
But, THIS is where it got REALLY suspious. It was two girls there, both a little older, but fine. I asked them how much the beer was and they said about 30,000 won (roughly $30!!!). Now, I was pretty confused to say the least and was respondent enough with my small amout of Korean to know that WAS the price. I kept repeating it in Korean and they looked at each other thinking, "How can we explain this?" . So, just because I didn't want to pay $30 for a couple of beers, I decided to leave. Thank them kindly, apologized that I just didn't have the money and left. But now I'm REALLY curious lol. It was obvious it was some kind of shop for 'men only', but I just couldn't figure it out? All the places were on the same street, had one or two women there, a few seats and a back room. I DON'T think that back room was for you-know-what as it looked like they were living there. Plus, there were TWO of them, so I can't imagine it would be used in that way.
Anyway, I'm curious as hell now and actually thinking about going back. Just suck it down, pay the $30 and just see what happens. If nothing, I can chalk it up to an experience and at least got some REALLY expensive beers out of it ;). If something, I'll write a report here for everyone :).
But, maybe people can shed some light on this? Are these little women bars in other area's and have people tried them? Does 30,000 won mean something else OTHER than just beer? I GOT to learn more Korean lol.
Anyway, hoping someone can tell me because I would like to go again IF it's something worth doing at least once :).
