Nah No Racial Problems...
[QUOTE=GoodEnough]DW, too bad we could not get together while I was in Manila and I hope to change that during my next trip there in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure, given some of your prior posts about the reaction of Filipinas to black men, if you mean that you've heard it's inhospitable to black guys or just in general. However, I was in LA for about 30 minutes one night last week, and there were two African Americans at the table next to me upstairs. The girls were all over them, and their only problem would have been which ones to choose for the evening---unless they wound up taking them all. So from this very limited observation, I would conclude that there's no racial bullshit at LA.
I should also add that I went to LA last year with a couple of guys from Chad. These guys were young, good looking (as opposed to me; old and past his prime) and their only problem was that they didn't speak much English, so I translated for them. They too, had women climbing all over them within ten minutes of arrival, which tends to reinforce the point made above.
While I appreciated the Burgos post and its information, it doesn't create any desire on my part to go back there. I find the prices, regardless of the bars, ridiculous since the same quality of girl is available in EDSA, LA (with a bit of searching), G Point, Cafe Havana, and doubtless other places, at half the total outlay. Also, as I spend a fair amount of money on my clothes, I hate being pulled at, which seems to be the norm on Burgos.
Glad you had fun though.
