High Rise Condo's - ?Deathtraps
my question is will it hold up for thirty years? will it appreciate? if not what would be the point?

thing that worries me pro, is the speed that they throw these high rise condo's up. you can't tell me that they are not cutting corners with quality of material or building practices. after all this is the philippines! and remember that manila is in an earthquake zone and fairly close to a known fault. the report at http://www.bulatlat.com/news/4-27/4-27-bigone.html makes somber and disturbing reading.
for this reason (and other environmental factors), i live in a bungalow and my investment condo is in a low rise, garden development. you can keep your jerry-buit high rise deathtraps as far as i'm concerned.
Makati on a thursday night
Hi,
had no choice I had to met some friends last night and the nearest place to met was Makati. So, once I got my fat ass out of the cab I was greeted by numerous Cialis/Viagra sales men to buy their candies :D
I declined and went to billboard to meet my friends. Beer 150p and some dancers on stage doing the makati shuffle. Mama san told me if they had more guests later they will dance more....I was the only guest at 9pm...I came back "later" and I count 5 or 6 :D..telling this to the mama san she doesnt look that happy, I told her I think they all in edsa, money and gurlwise..
But, I really enjoyed the dancing there. They have some gud dancers and I like when they shake their booty. They all look quite good to me, but I know things will chnage once u see them in the morning..Yes...Im spoiled..
After dining in filling station with my friends, 2200p for a hamburger, sm light, 2 softdrinks, spaghetty , chickenwings and 2 slice of pizza, I decided to hit the road home. Went in a cab and ask the guy to put meter on. He didnt, I said nothng, cause I wanted to see some other places in Makati. So I just let him driving me along burgos until I told him to stop the car to get me out. I thanked him for the free ride , he seems not be happy though..
Met a gurl who hand me out some flyers from burgos bar called divone or something like that. Its after Jools...I ask her is that the bar where they charge 750p for a LD?LOL...the gurl laughed and said, its only 500p now...wow, they really learned their lesson. I give it a try next time just curious what topmodels they have their to justify the price of 500p now for a LD...
Next I went into a place with lady boxing and wrestling. 2 male dwarfs were on stage....to much for me..Im straight guy..so went out again and proceed to see Don Pedro again, but then stopped at Oka hotel.
Curiousity kills the cat, I went inside and saw maybe 30 gurls in blue dress sitting there. No customer. I asked how much for a sm ligh. They told me just 100p so I got one and gurls waved me to sit with them, They were just bored and eating and didnt asked for any drinks. I was the kid in the candy store. Liked that atmosphere and were talkin to three pretty gurls. Guess they made enough on the stupids who go there and buy drinks and give tip...sometimes one of them entered and they had to greet them and presented them so they can chose a gurl...I asked fo rprices and they told me bottle of whiskey is 3000 pesos but what makes me more curious is that the "penalty fee" was just 2000p. So, means I coulc take the gurls out for 2K? Thats a bargain in makati area....
To make things short , after 3 san miguel light and some tips for the gurl for their time I left with 3 cellphone numbers, promising to take them to subic for a weekend. They have this new hotel , wild orchid inn subic and I would love to spend some time with those cuties and I know it would be just shopping and having a gud time.
So guys, also Makati has his gud sites and I will report more on that if something comes up with those gurls..
Happy weekend

200,000 on Drinks -No Way
Long ago I remember walking into club on Burgos
as a newbie & walking out with an P11,000 bill after 30mins so i find it believable but astonishing nevertheless..
AV
11,000 is easily possible, but 200,000 totally unbelievable, even in Burgos Guys.
Last March I was in conversation with 3 Americans at Matrix, all taking the 11 am coffee and recovering from a heavy night of drinking.
They proudly told me how they had dropped $300 in Ringside and then moved on to Billboard where one of them had entertained the kind Pilipinas there to the tune of a further $800.
Three of them spent a total of $1100 (44,000) and they had been so smashed as to be unable to Barfine so it was drinks only for them.
I dont think $5000 is a do-able figure, not even for Burgos, but maybe this summer price increase will prove me wrong.
