Jacuzzi and other amenities
I've stayed in Prado Centro for 50k at a decent place. IMO it was pretty safe even at night. Just stay away from under the train. I've stayed in an apartment in Poblado for 100k per night with spectacular views.
These quotes on hotel rooms to me somehow seem kind of high. At CB1 at least I had a jacuzzi in my room for I think it was 180k. Anybody know any other spots with Jacuzzi in your room? One of my favorite ways to entertain and relax.
I stay at Hotel Nutibara quite often and that area isn't too bad until later on in the evening, past ten o'clock or so. It's not a bad hotel at all, the only thing is their wi-fi is very weak in the rooms but I am there for the pussy so I don't care too much and they have lots of hot water so I like it.
Drivers and Guides in Medellin
Hi all,
Everything I read (and every piece of advice that I find) suggests that it saves you a load of time and effort if you have a reliable and safe driver / guide to show you around. I've just arrived in Medellin and, after seeing some bad stuff go down in another Latin country, am looking for a guide to show me the casa's and best spots. Especially in the slightly worrying Barios.
I've done a fair amount of searching (not hours, but not minutes either) and the only list of drivers I can find (posted in several places) dates back to 2005.
Does anybody have any good and reliable contacts / drivers that are still around and not going to rip me off? I speak a little Spanish but would prefer bi-lingual to make things simple.
Any advice to a Medellin virgin would be most welcome.
Thanks all
