Typically thai food especially for breakfast & dinner.
Thanks man.
Papercut
Thai food for breakfast in Hatyai is seriously difficult. Hatyai is so influence by Singapore/Malaysian that breakfast is now Ba Kut Teh, Porriage, Noodles, Tim Sum, etc, etc.
Unless you buy some fried or BBQ chicken together with Sticky rice and eat inside your room.
Dinner is OK, but not necessary food stalls but coffeeshops that are frequented by Thais. Also some famous food that you can try are fish porriage or fish soup with rice (behind Pink Hotel), Duck Noodles, thru a lane infront of Regency Hotel, Kuay Chap, in front of Ambassador Hotel, etc. Not necessary authentic Thai food, but more Chinese food with Thai influence.
Anyway, when you have confirmed your trip dates and closer to the dates, then let me know and I can advise you again with more specific details.
Cheers

Hi Tv, happy new year to you.
Still remember my last visit to hatyai, i was after 3rd day of DEtox and suppose to be on strict diet. On the 4th day, i was landed at hatyai, and forgotten my diet, just eat my favorite around Hatyai.
Morning, any kuew teow teng, add lots of chili powder, that is my favorite.
Dim sum serving size are extra small.
Bak kut teh never try b4.
Afternoon, take a fish porridge before to massage.
After massage, kuew teow teng with chili powder again, or mango rice.
Then Tapau gaulat and grill sotong back to room as snack. Gaulat in cantonese call (fung loot)
Dinner, just tell me where where of nice thai food. Will go try.
(Saowei) price is rising and crowded now aday, still in my list.
(Log terrace) romantic river side, big open air dining place, not expensive at all, the place something like Flintstone home. rocky mountain with waterfall, and flooting dining deck on the river.
Also a few thai grill food. forgotten name la.
Will like to try travel to Songkla dine at seaside on next visit.
All in all the day at Hatyai, my ass burning. Coz too much tasty chili, tomyam.
Slurp.. Talk about eat, hungry now.
Happy new year to all

Kiss girls will go out for the night for a bar fine - but you may find them less appreciative of service ! Had some good experiences and some bad there which is a usual go for the place.
You are right the atmosphere is great and if you are in a group then it is a must to have some fun - you have to get there early and be prepared sometimes that someone has booked her the night before !
Takeaways are late in the night and so prone to be hit and miss - one friend had a reall hit and as for me the first time she stayed all night in the karaoke and then said no to the takeaway - what a waste of a night !! My other friend had one nice one and then the next time a real cold fish - it was like hammering a slab of dead meat !! No movement at all and a nice caesarian scar to go with it !! horrendous ! LOL
Happy new year to all
Chalky,
Perhaps you are talking about Kiss Lounge at Hatyai Garden Hotel; I was referring to the Kiss Chanel located at East of the City. I do not think the waitresses can leave early nor do those dancers, at least not before they are finished for the day. :)

For breakfast I sometimes go to this lovely reataurant which sells pepper soup with pork. It is located at Niphat Uthit 1; if you are coming from Regency Hotel, walk west towards this Niphat Uthit 1 and when you reach the intersection of Niphat Uthit 1, turn left and you should see a busy restaurant after 20 paces. Nice breakfast for 1 cost less than 100B.
Perhaps *********** can enlighten us on the name of this place. Or should I call you Khun Thai now?? Kekekekeke
Kaki
If you are there on (Wednesday?) Thursday, Friday or Saturday, you can visit a very Thai night market which sells anything from food stuff to jeans. This place is called "Bern Thai" and it is located near the City Bus Terminal, south-east of the city. Make sure you have someone who can speak Thai with you cause unlike hawkers at Hatyai city centre, these hawkers cannot do a lot of English, Cantonese or Hokkien, a problem if you decided to buy something.
A very nice food stall I have tried there is the Thai Mee-Sua in thick Coconut milk soup. Then you can add raw vege, bean sprouts, lemon, fried anchovies, cucumber, chili, salted fish and a lots more. Very nice Thai food and it is only 40B-50B per bowl.
A nice place to rub shoulders with the locals. Hope *********** can tell us more of this place.
Kick ass and be cool,
Kaki
Thanks Bro Tee Vee,
I get what you mean by having 2 girls from the farms but not much luck with farm girls. (dead fish experiences before)
SC girls maintained some qualities altough $$$. Mamasan looks better than the lot, this I must see.
Noted that Monkey Pub no longer like their hey days, will go to Water Bar then. Will be there for 2 nights. one night Kiss Channel, and will decide the following night's activity.
Thanks again for the updated info.
Happy New Year.

No worries.
Should you require any recommendations or feedbacks on the general services for farm girls, I can always provide you the info. (based on feedbacks from fellow bros).
hi bro,
do you frequently make a trip to hatyai?. honestly, am really looking forward to make a trip to hatyai (feb 2006).
you have mentioned earlier that free lancers & uni students opportunity, where do i can meet them?.
which directions should i go to locate for both piano and porches karaoke?.
how about paragon & holywood disco. can we pick up a freelancers ( i know it kind of difficult to really answer this question)
i think you have a valid point there. chemistry is an important facts and to be frank with you, i am looking forward to spent a quality time with someone who has 'state of art' body shapes (tits and boop and less on face features).
you are our important navigator and seriously i would not meant to addressing your as okt.
thanks,
hello bro,
i stay in hatyai. :)
free lancers can be found at various entertainment night spots. uni students are thru recommendations but basdically do st. some does lt depend on days. uni students have 2 types. one is studying locally in hatyai so she does not goes out as afraid friends see. some are ****, so cannot go to night spots, etc. the other is uni students from other places like bkk or chiangmai where they come down during term breaks or they take a couple of weeks off from class. same is they are **** and if they are not ****, they may go out with you if they are being booked lt.
bear in mind, uni students may not all have very good looks! but generally pleasant looking and some are 23 years old (they skipped a couple of years to earn money, etc), some may have been single mother (from their boy frineds in uni, etc) but you can safely say, all of them have their "freshness" and simple mindedness of a student.
piano karaoke (opposite daiichi hotel)
5-7 chaiyakul uthit road soi 4, hatyai songkhla
tel: 06-965 2588
porches karaoke (beside sakura grandview hotel)
188/1-3 nipat uthit 3 road, hatyai songkhla
tel: 074-354 228
yes, you can get fls from the discos. basically fls are actually working ladies who do not have bookings. sometimes their okts (pimps) bring them there, sometimes they go on their own. hollywood disco is already closed.
paragon disco
553 raj uthit road, hatyai songkhla
tel: 074-363 777
"state of art" body shapes are also very subjective. some may say 36d boobs are perfect and some may say "anythying more than a mouthful is a waste". anyway, when you are here, you can always choose.
should you require any information or assistance, feel free to let me know.
cheers
Bro Tee Vee,
Very helpful informations that you have posted so far in this forum site. You are the man and not to forget others, who are frequently shares their experiences and clues about Hatyai! Perhaps, we could meet up over cold beers or coffee & light snacks ( either one that you prefer and of course if these could materilise during you have free time and this will absolutely on my bill).
I will be leaving JB on 05/02/06 evening and expecting to reach Hatyai on 06/02/06 morning, Juz wanna to have a good time on this time around when i got there with your lead, and also looking forward to taste on fresh oyster and other seafoods.
No problemo bro.
I look forward to meeting up with you too.
If you require any assistance like hotel reservations, etc, do let me know through the PM function.

Good morning tV, (I guess the time will be an identical when you read this posting)
That's for sure. Looking forward to meet you too my brother from different mother.
Perhaps, we could hang out with a couple of chang beers (nicely brewed!!) over our chat? It would be interesting for me, if you could spare some time for our KFC farms haunting. I always have a comunication issues with most of the OKTs that I have deal before, during my meat selections.
I've realized that they' re alwayz manipulated the scene by forcing me to accept their selections rather than mine. You know, am alone with lack of thai's comuniction powers. Juz wanted someone who has "prefect soul" with me during my trip.
I will let you knows if any changes of plan.

Is it all clear now to drive from Penang to Hatyai?
I heard the flood is basically over already. Please advice. Thanks alot.
Anyway, the flood period is over and everything is back to normal in Hatyai.
Hope this info don't come too late for you.
