What is the easiest way to get to Tashkent from the US? Should I fly through Moscow and try to connect from there or are there decently priced flights from Europe or the US? I am planning my next trip out and I want to hit some of the "stans". I love Tadjik and Uzbek girls from my stay in Russia. Any information would be great.
Thanks
It seems that all hotels have a "charge" to allow guests, is that true or can someone recomend a decent 4 star or better hotel that doesn't have the "charges." Am going on a holiday and although I can afford a 5 star but I think I would fare better at one of the 4 stars where the "charges" would be lower?

[QUOTE=Wise Buddy]Flites from Germany to Europe are about 600 USD.
So I think it is wise to call Aeroflot Russian Airlines or better their US Consolidator and ask for a thruogh fare to Tashkent.
But it aint be cheap.

Is it possible to fly via dubai or sharja? Emirates do not fly there :(
HI Folks. Sorry I have nothing to contribute yet.
REcently, last april a regular who is now like a friend has gone to Uzbekistan and I believe now working in a Casino as a bar woman. Name of Lora, long brown hair, cute and young.
Her mobile is lost long time ago.
Anyone been with her / know if she is still working? Otherwise know if she is still in this casino in Tashkent? Its a long shot.
On my next trip I hope to hire her again if still working.
Regards,
Mike De H.
Hi, guys,
First let me say I have learned a great deal from this forum as a guest so I decided to become a member in hopes I could contribute. I will be heading to Uzbekistan in the coming year and hopefully much if what I have learned here I will be able to use and bring back more updated reports for the fellows here. I will be checking out the action in Tashkent but I will also be in the tourist cities of Kiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand (this is a vacation trip for me). So my question is does anyone have any updated info on these areas? Is it best just to ask around the taxi drivers, hotel bellman etc, in these areas, or are there any new clubs, bars, etc, as in Tashkent were action is more prevalent. For me I don't think language will be that much of a problem, I don't speak a great deal of pure Uzbek but I do Turkish and it is somewhat similar and I also have some knowledge of Russian.
Thanks in advance and I hope I can contribute to this great forum in the future.

It's very helpful!
Here are some photos of my crib. If anyone wants to rent it PM and I will give you the contact details. It’s really nice and impresses the hell out of the women…nice looking receptionists too. I paid $120 per night but have seen it advertised anywhere from 150-100.
I met a female pimp on Elena’s models that provides really beautiful women on call. Very professional and has a book full of her chicks. Her girls go for between 300-1000 a night…no hourly rate. Kinda steep for me but if you want to fuck the model of your dreams she can arrange it. Many of her girls have Euro visas too. PM me if you want her contact info. I wouldn’t waste her time if you are not a gentleman that can play on her level.
bad:
i have been to many ass backwards bastions of incompetence and tashkent may very well rate as #1 on the list. to boot, there is little or no infrastructure to support the 1st world traveler; for practical purposes there is no atm or credit card usage and anything that has to do with correctly functioning will not do so. allow me to proffer two examples:
i went into bank and asked about an atm machine and the lady in typical uzbek hospitality identified the location of the atm on my map. i went there only to find the machine not functioning. i returned to the bank to inform the bank employee of this and she replied,” yes, there is no money in it.” although she was kind enough to explain to me the machine’s location she was also dimwitted enough to neglect to tell me that the machine was out of money. at this point you have two options: hurl obscenities at the stooge or simply smile and say “god bless you. thank you very much.” i opted for the latter.
(***take visa as opposed to mastercard because the govt official responsible for international banking got a bigger cumshaw from visa thus the card is more readily accepted***)
i wanted to take a girl that i met there to the grandprix in singapore. get visa, get ticket, go. nope. i told the girl to arrange the ticket and she said that the airline couldn’t do it. i figured, ok, girls a girl, so i dispatched my assistant/guide to secure the tickets. negative from him as well. hmm, so i went to airline office myself to the “all routes” desk and was told that it was not possible. there were no direct flights on my chosen travel day so instead of the clerk rerouting me through moscow, bejiing, etc she just said that it was not possible to travel. this is most basic shit. i also got a kick out of the people bringing sacs full of money to purchase airline tickets…mind you the highest note is worth about 75 cents.
the professions of many of the women there….arabic dancer, karaoke girl, hostess, trapeze artist in bahrain circus, belly dancer, photo model….reveal a shockingly high number of girls employed in or around the peripheries of the transnational flesh trade. shit, tashkent ain’t topkea, but even the cleaning lady at my hotel had worked as a hostess in zurich in the late 90s. i don’t want to pollute this thread with my bullshit rhapsodies, but once a woman has been employed as a prostitute it definitely changes her psyche for the worse.
i was saddened to find that one of favorite hookers there had four sisters aged 17-34 and that they had all worked as hookers in dubai, bahrain, or found boyfriends (older married men) from malaysia who they lived with.
of course not everyone there has turned tricks on the gulf coast, but, at times, it certainly seemed like it.
a piece of advice, although the girls may blur the line between prostitution, sponsorship, and honest relationship i suggest that you do not. if one doesn’t, you are simply exposing yourself and the girl to disappointment and heartache down the line. i had a very emotionally draining split with a high class hooker in singapore because i was enamored with having a tall, super model type girl on my arm but wasn’t willing to pay the money of a hooker of this caliber nor invest the emotional currency to maintain a relationship with a prostitute.
relatively closed country
i am curious to see if one is able to extend the visa more than once beyond the initial 30 day period. i don’t think you can pull the visa run thing in uzbekistan…but i may be wrong.
uzbekistan is a police state and this is evinced when the president goes to work every am and one sees 5000 (no shit) police and militia line the road where the president travels along. i tried to take a picture of this but had my camera grabbed.
don’t go there discussing politics of any kind. uzbeks are genuinely scared of talking about the govt. people and their families have and still do disappear for engaging in political dissent.
that being said, i was only picked up once by the police and it wasn’t random. after the ice was broken it was a rather pleasant experience…they were just curious about my line of work and life experiences.
***a note about fsu countries. the men in uniform attempt to be very… manly… and turn to little boys if one can be a decent raconteur about a hot zone experience. from moscow to almaty, i have had grown men’s eyes light up when they see that i was in iraq and afghanistan. they also ask cheesy ass questions like, “was it difficult there?” to which, after stifling my erupting laughter, reply equally as corny, while frowning ever so slightly and looking at the ground, “da, it was very challenging, the enemy was determined; but i overcame this challenge as a result of my training and dedication.”
i know i know. but these commie security personnel eat this sit up.***
the people there will try and overcharge and nickel and dime you. but as long as you are respectful and take it all in stride it’s not too much of a burden.
Good:
The people there are nice and hospitable and the lack of many Westerners there still affords one an off the bat novelty factor…this is no longer true in Kiev, Odessa, or Chisinau.
The girls are pretty good looking and easy to talk to…it’s not Odessa or Latvia...but the numbers are still there.
The city has a decent nightlife.
There are lots of decent attractive women there….it’s an ideal place to grab a wife from. The women there hold conservative values re marriage and family and I don’t think they’d be the type to concoct a marriage and dump plan like some Ukrainian chicks have plotted to do.
I like Tashkent and hope that it doesn’t turn into another Chisinau.
