In Dakar you can go to the Africa Star. It's a place you can find many girls, but take care!
THIS IS THE INFORMATION, I did NOT include.
EMAIL, you are so very right. As an American, and as a person, I just could NOT see having SEX with with what I see as a MINOR, NOR giving anyone information on it. I was offered minor young girls and I refused with a passion. I even threatened to report them to the POLICE, and told them if I ever saw a minor in the room of any guest for SEX I would report them too. I just can't see it. Kids should be kids !!!! I personally would NOT accept anyone under 18y/o, for NO reason, and with no ID's to show I saw some girls that looked under 18y/o, but they had their State/Gov. Health card, so they can legally Hook.
There are too many men reading this board who look to have sex with very young girls and I will "NOT" assist them in that. One word of reason .... even in Africa, if you are caught having SEX with children, they will have little mercy on you especially if that was your intent, to have a minor service you.
THIS "YOU" NOW KNOW !!!!
As For The NON PROS, I got a lot of action from young girls at the market area in Dakkar. These girls looked over 16y/o, but I did NOT get a chance to engage since I did not speak French, and did NOT want to offend my guide as I was shopping with others, who came along, to shop too. I could see they were interested, and in broken English I was asked if they wanted them to visit me at my Hotel. I just did NOT have enough time, and I would have to get them pass security once they arrived, and unless I were waiting for them at the Hotel, they had no way to reach me, unless they paid security to call me, and very few had the money.
At night I did not see SW walking pass my Hotel, as I would see in the States or else where. Around my Hotel it was fairly quiet. And being a person of uncommon sense, I did not journey alone into the night .... Regardless of how safe the streets looked. The Hotel, had some fine hookers at the Hotel bar. They girls were between 22-30, and the French men visiting the Hotel, spoiled the broth, by paying them far too much. These girl want $100us.
Thanks but NO Thanks !!!! I did get a bar hook who took a liking to me, and she would cut me a break. I paid for all night, what others paid for just a few hours. She did tell me that she could only get with me, if she slipped away, and did NOT let the Hotel manager see her take the elevator up. She usually came up after 1am, and left around 8-9am.
I wish I had this information prior to my trip. I would have been able to smooth navigate through my visit. The posting of the present information, would have made my visit a virtual sexual paradise.
Well this Senegal forum still looks a little empty so here goes some info from my trip last year.
Dakar:
In Dakar, I stayed in one of the cheaper hotels (Continental). They were guest friendly. On some occasions I saw a bunch of girls hanging out in the lobby, they seemed available.
As described in the archives, girls may approach you in some bars along Av Ponty (Bar Ponty the best known). I also experienced the same in one of the fast food joints. It was quite full, a girl asked for permission to sit down at my table to take her meal, after some small talk (do I work here, what is she studying at university etc.) she expressed her openness to depart to my hotel... payment was up to negotiation, with 10.000 CFA being a reasonable "big city" price. Not much distinction between ST/LT, most girls would not even suggest ST but stay the whole night without me asking for it.
Speaking french is useful to small talk in a safe way and not offend girls who are not available (do not assume every girl in Dakar is available, Senegalese people easily take offense if foreigners do something seen as wrong).
There are several night clubs in the city center (I kept no record but basically it is likely that anything labeled "night club" is worth checking out). Walking the center after dark is not regarded as safe but I did it anyway, with some caution and using only streets I knew from daytime.
Tambacounda:
In Tambacounda, I stayed at the best hotel (Asta Kebe), the only with swimming pool. They have pleasant rooms with or without aircon. They are guest friendly.
Girls may approach you in any of the bars or restaurants in Tambacounda. I frequented the ones nearest to the hotel. The number of girls is not large because there are very few tourists. The girl that approached me first was just average, not very young or good looking, but she was nice and very active in bed, BBBJ included, stayed the whole night. Asking price was usually 10.000 CFA but 5-7.000 was often possible.
If nothing appears on a certain day, you can always strike up a conversation on the general subject of women with any of the younger male employees, and probably some ideas will come forward...
The place where girls seem to be in large numbers is the "Complexe Legaal Pont", an outlandishly large dancing spot in town as described to me, I did not go because the nearby bars were more convenient the 3 days I spent, but it's surely worth checking if you have the time.
Dear oetziboy:
Virtually every hotel in central Dakar is guest-friendly. The better hotels may ask the girl to show her ID, and may even ask for her to leave the ID at reception when she goes up to your room with you. Don't worry, this is done for your protection, not to try and put controls over your social life. This way, if the girl rips you off, you can call reception and tell them to refuse to give her the ID. Hotel reception will always be on the side of the paying hotel customer, especially if the customer is a foreigner. In any case, the hotels usually know the girls (and vice-versa) so the ID check is no big deal.
Girls are everywhere in Dakar, especially at the African Star bar and along the Avenue Ponty (including the famous Bar Ponty). One of my work colleagues recalls having a beer, then picking up a cute girl at this same bar and bringing her back to his hotel back in 1962! (hopefully the 1962 girl has since retired).
A final point - major crimes are rare in Dakar, but pickpocketing is a major issue, especially along Ave. Ponty. Usually the pickpockets work as a team - one or more guys block your way or distracts you somehow while another guy goes for your wallet. One time this happened to me but I had left my wallet back at the hotel and had hidden my money in a neck pouch under my shirt, so I didn't lose anything. Also, when the guy started patting down my pockets, I screamed "voleur" (thief) several times and started waving my hands, which startled the pickpockets and made them run away. I probably looked like an idiot but hey it stopped the theft in mid-act. Never carry more money than you have to!
Frank Africa
Thanks a lot for your advises and info, I supposed to leave tomorrow morning but my (business) date was reschedued for the coming week.
I would have you asked if you can suggest hotel 4/5 star in Dakar and how (if so) hassleful the custom act, in particulr regarding money regulation (is there in/outbound) thanks again and I'll surely inform when I'm back
After visiting Ghana and Togo earlier I went to Senegal for a 4 day conference. I stayed at the Novotel downtown. I had previously visited Dakar and St Louis in 1993.
Dakar is a nice place with beautiful African women but I didn't have the time to romance non pros. In the 2 free nights available I wanted to go pick up a girl and have her spend the night taking care of my dick. Contrary to previous post and my previous experience in Dakar, I had a hard time finding talent.
My first night I went to the large open air bar near the port. I forget the name but it is well known. When I first visited Dakar in the early 90s there had been dozens of good looking girlies. This time there were maybe a dozen fat, gruesome tarts. I thought it was a fluke but I returned the following night and saw the same no-talent talent. I took a taxi to Ave Ponty where I remember seeing girls in the various bistros. Nothing! Is there some sort of crackdown in Dakar? I believe prostitution is legal there so I was baffled. Maybe I was just late and the available talent had been snatched up. Desperate, I flagged a taxi and asked him if he knew where I could find some girls - the driver didn't understand me. (I lived in Belgium almost 10 years and speak fluent French). I got out hailed a second taxi and although he spoke very little French he got the gist. He said there was a place by the port.... I told him no I had been there earlier. He then drove a few blocks off the Ave Ponty where there were many discoes and restaurants. There was nothing there although I did recognize one hag from that port bar who hissed at our car. He then took me on a ride to this upscale neighborhood near the water (I believe it is called the Corniche). Saw a grand total of 2 fat, nasty looking SW. I put an end to the wild goose chase and told him to take me to my hotel. Somewhat fortunately two blocks from the Novotel there were 1 or 2 SWs lurking in the shadows of the Hotel de Ville (sort of rooming house). I paid the taxi driver and went over to negotiate with one. She was presentable but not someone I would want to spend the night. She wanted to come spend the night in my hotel for 20,000 CFA ($30) which I thought was expensive since girls in another capital Lome where happy with 10,000 CFA. I didn't want to deal with the embarrasement of bringing an obvious tart into the lobby of the nice hotel so I negotiated and received a cbj in the nearby decrepit rooming house for 5,000 CFA.
If someone has been to Dakar recently let me know if I was just unlucky or if the action has moved. I perfer bars and beer gardens where I can sit back, study and pick from the available talent. Discoes open late, I like to be back in hotel busting my first nut by 10 PM or so.
Dakar: I was there for a day two years ago and agree with Waywardson, the known advice about Bar Ponty etc. does not work in a straightforward way.
There seem to be a few girls on Av Ponty sometimes, but it seems you have to linger for a while in any of the bars or fast food places to meet them (probably best at office closing hours in late afternoon).
I had one girl in a fast food place strike up a conversation that could have been a lead, but I didn't follow up cause I was leaving that evening.
Tambacounda: In restaurants/bars you may be approached by working girls. As this is deep province, it is a very relaxed and hassle free experience. Spent all night with a girl, for 5000 CFA (asking price 10000). Good BJ and 3x very good fuck, she was eager to do it several times and keep me as a repeat customer as there were only maybe 3 tourists in the whole town.
Don't remember name of the restaurant where I met this girl but it is when you turn on the main road from Hotel Asta Kebe, maybe 300 m towards downtown.
Here are just some of the young girl that came to my hotel room from GORE island. Just to give you and idea of what Senegal has to offer. See my post in the archives.
MORE!
EVEN MORE!
WordUp,
Nice pics man! I'd assume you did a few all nighters with them. How much? was it? I'm sure it was pretty cheap, it being Senegal and all.Love to hear the details if you could provide it!.
MeatMan
HEY MEATMAN,
THANKS for the thumbs up on my pic. I actually spent over the limit because I did not have time to search around since I was always on the go. I paid $50 for the night. She came from the Hotel Bar. She had been charging $100 for the same, but she liked me for her own reasons. Hotel SW are always more expensive, like in Las Vegas. And get this folks are paying her $100 for a short time FS. The next night she brought her best friend who was a very beautiful very light skin African from Senegal. She almost broke the door down when the very mention of taking picture was said.
I had a chance to do do a few of the local SW for $10 for a few hours at a hotel. I declined then, because the hotel girls were "SAFER." The Hotel I was at lets you bring girls in, if they have a Health Card up=to=date on them.
Just for the fun of it, and $5 to a guard, I got a few quickies for $5 from just passing girls on there way home at night. . It all happened down by the Pool area, and the guard keep watching around for us. THAT WAS THE MOST FUN !!!!
Is that the pool you walk down about 1000 stepe to get to? I've had that experience also
My thoughts on Senegal (last visited late '02).
Senegal is a Muslim country on the coast of West Africa. There are direct flights on South African airlines 2 or 3 times per week for less then $1000RT from NYC. It is a good flight, less than 8 hours. Senegal is very, very safe and hassle free for the experienced traveler.
Upon arriving at Mohamand Segnor airport in Dakar, you will pass through most friendly customs. They will tax obvious consumer goods but nothing like Nigeria or Cameroon. Africa is well known for customs agents trying to extract bribes from travelers. I have traveled to Africa more than 50 times and problems with customs officials is very true but in Senegal this is not an issue for the normal tourist. You simply check through customs as you would in NYC on a busy day. I only carry a small backpack, your mileage may vary.
Upon exiting the customs area, it is usually early morning; you walk into a small but relatively modern arrivals area with regular things you would expect to see in an airport; car rental counters, money exchange, cafe, duty free, a couple of guards with automatic weapons but nothing too intimidating. Most of the hustlers are not allowed in the airport, only official hustlers are allowed in the airport. I always have a buddy pick me up but I talk to these guys, they are not criminals, they only want to make a buck or two to help you with your bag, I never need this service because I only have one bag but I would keep an eye on them. They will try hard to get you to hire them.
As you leave the airport, on an AM, you walk outside to little activity for an African airport. I have traveled to most int'l airports in West Africa, places like Lagos, Douala and Accra there are thousands of people leaning over the gate. It is quite intimidating for the lone, first time traveler, even when you are sitting behind the security gate waiting for your ride. When you walk outside people are tugging at your bag wanting to help you. Maybe they just want a small tip (25 cents), maybe they will run off with your bag. In Dakar, you have none of this. It is very sleepy and relaxed outside of the airport. Of course some people will ask you if you need taxi/change money/hotel but a simple "Non s'il vous plait" (NOH SEE VUU PLAY) is fine.
What I do is to see one taxi driver out of my peripheral vision and pick him out, I say this is my taxi, this is my friend and I want to go with him, negotiate a price (IMPORTANT) and go. Actually think when you were a little kid, you were taught to be suspicious of people who approach you but it is ok to approach stranger if you have a problem. First principles brothers.
Ride into Dakar is interesting, about 30 minutes, about $15, desert, architecture that is Africa/Arab/European. You don't get to see the people carrying eggs/car tires/soccer balls/water cans on their heads like you do in other African countries but it is a mellow ride with light to medium traffic.
Hotels suck and don't pay them more than 2 days in advance. Get there, get your stuff in order, when you are in the street, you can find another place. Is important to have a night in advance (I travel to Bogota or Rio with no prior reservations but in Africa if you don’t have a friend it is a necessity.). If your hotel is $80 and it sucks but it doesn't suck that bad then you did pretty good. You should be able to find a $50 hotel that is about comparable to what you would find in Mississippi for $20.
Safety. Violent crime is non-existent. If you are alone, constantly people try to hustle you pulling all kinds of shit on the street. Heymyfreind, heymyfreind, whereyou from...... I walk very fast like I live there and don't talk to strangers (unless I initiated the conversation in which case people are nice) and put paper or dirty socks in my pockets. Learn how to be clever about hiding your money, only bring things you are prepared to lose.
Girls: Ground zero is Africa Star Nightclub. Dakar is fairly centralized; you have your downtown section and some suburbs. Basically the centre revolves around Place de la Independence. If you go there, just pick up a taxi and ask him to go to Africa Star. You need to be able to speak French enough to say "how much to go to.....". maybe $1 taxi to Africa Star from there. If you can’t speak French at all you will always be able to hire a friend on the streets for a small tip, he will tag along with you everywhere and only leave when you ask him to. Sometimes these guys can be helpful but trust on a case by case basis only after you know then very well. Don’t worry about finding him, he will find you.
Africa Star is on a little street with another bar across the street (Texas Bar) about 5 blocks from the Place de la Ind.. You walk inside, on weekends they have a cover ($3), looks like a white trash bar you would find in the US, go to the bar, order a beer. They have urban dance music playing. Nothing like being the only white guy alone in a crowded African dance club at 2AM with music blaring (WHATCHU WANT FROM A NIGGA!) but I felt completely safe and I have been here at least 10 times. In the back they have couches (someone hides condoms in the couches). Girls will mob you, or you can brush them off and approach the one you want, buy her a drink and take it from there. Most of the girls here are from Sierra Leone, Gambia and Liberia and speak English pretty well. Price depends on you, maybe 10000CFA ($16), maybe 20000 ($32), maybe free. If the girl is a nice girl this will be for as long as you want, if the girl is on drugs then she will try to leave so she can immediately smoke the money you gave her or go back to make more. On any given night there are 20-40 girls here with 3:1 girl/guy ratio.
There are many other bars in Dakar and chances are 99% if the woman is alone she will go with you. Regular pretty brewpub type establishments. Hit/miss ratio here is like 90%. Maybe buy a drink, maybe will want a tip like money for taxi but I think it is the only reason she is there, it is a Muslim country so unlike the US girls can't just be out at night alone in bars.
Black girl heaven. For example in Africa Star, I sat at the bar, ordered a cold Flag beer. One girl sat on one side of me (very nice girl, little chubby from Gambia, when I say chubby I don’t mean pookie, I mean 10 extra pounds, my standards are brutal), another sat on the other side (dead on, I mean dead on Whitney Houston look-alike from Senegal, lived in Spain for 5 years, spoke English as good as me, wow, hot). I just played it cool. I talked to both of them at once in English, bought them both a beer, said I was tired, we will have another beer, dance a little and Whitney suggested maybe both would give me a massage to make me feel better. Well the beers are only $1.25, I said I only have $50 and I need to pay by beers and taxi home and motel, so what is left you can have. We go to a motel 2 blocks away, it is $11, the girls are not into each other at all, the chubby girl I think it is her first time out, the Whitney Houston girl I think is addicted to something, she is all asking for more money, more money, chubby licked me everywhere while Whitney blew me 2 times to completion sans condom (poor judgment). Then we all made plans to go out, I met them in the bar 30 minutes later, Whitney never showed up but I hung out with chubby all night at an outdoor place near the pier (any taxi can find), didn’t take her home but she showed me a lot of cool places (Samba club, Bar Havana), she begged be to take her to my hotel so she can give me a massage but I was afraid to bring her there. Two nights later, I ran into Whitney and she was pissed, where the hell were you. I came to the bar an hour later and the bartender said you left with the other girl. Apparently she waited all night for us. I got to know her a little better and she is addicted to something, bad news.
Only problem is the food sucks, the hotels suck, nobody speaks English but the people are very friendly and the weather is nice. For safe adventure it is top notch, within 3 hour drive there are so may unusual things to see, pink lakes, beaches made of seashells, deserts, jungles, beaches, slave forts, etc, etc, etc, I don't believe it is worth a trip specifically for sex but if you made the trip 50% adventure, 50% romance then it would be worth your while. See, if I travel I don’t care about busting a nut, I don’t visit the thermas or massage parlors, I like the head games, the bullshit, the temporary love, I love chasing girls in my own country. It is more troubling but to me it is more rewarding. I am young and I would like to learn my lessons the hard way myself. In Africa, not possible but in Africa the sky is the limit - you are a king. Forget *****s, to find a beautiful Naomi Campbell look-alike girlfriend who wants nothing more than your company, to be taken out to simple dinners and a little respect is like free candy, easier than shooting a fish in a barrel. If this is your cup of tea then go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
