I am in Santiago de Cuba now. I landed in Havana on April 23rd. I stayed in Havana for 3 nights. I would say that quality and quantity of the girls in Havana have gone down. Any way I got laid on the first three nights in Havana. The second night was the most memorable with a sweet 19 year old girl from Camaguey. On the last night in Havana, while infront of the La Chorrea, a bunch of policias came to the location suddenly and started to ask for the ID of the girls and the pimps. Nobody was arrested. I left the place for the old Havana, where all the girls were hard core pros. Fouth day, I took the overnight bus to Santiago.
Santiago is the place to be. There is no police harassment here.
Last night I had the best sex in my 28 year old life with a girl 4 years younger than me. We walked around the old Santiago, No problem with the police. We went to the Casa de Musica.
She provided me with the sex, love and affection more than a wife or gril friend could offer. I am probably meeting her tonight. Life is good.

Hi guys,
I am going to Cuba for the first time ever within the next four months. The problem is, I don't know when I should go. Logic suggests May, although I'll have to delay starting my new job, which will be a big hassle. The time I am truly free for a while is late August. However, I have no doubt that it will be incredibly hot then. What's your advice?
Thanks,
Syl

Sylvan,
It's all about what you are used to / where you are from. I live in Europe and its mostly cold here, so the heat of Cuba for me is a blessing. However even I can not enjoy the “hot as hell” August sun. My best times have always been in December, Jan, Feb, March, April. The days are excellent and the nights a little cooler: you might need a jacket when on the seaward side (malecon etc…). You also should get a place with AC.
I personally would want to go ASAP, but then I know the place! In the summer there are more tourists and thus more hard-core chicas; that’s something I do not like. However, a real gift is that in the season, you can get lots of very nice non-pro action from chicas who come to Havana from far and wide to make a few $$.
Your decision is your own regarding the job hassle, however consider this: go to Havana ASAP, enjoy this time and then take another week off when you can go again (having worked for a few months) and this time knowing what is what and where is where etc…
All the best.
Regards, Havanaman

Sylvan,
August is also the start of hurricane season in Cuba. I really would recommend you go in May. It is the low season and there are not that many tourist in Cuba. So you will have your pick of the casa particular in Cuba. What part of Cuba are you intersted in going to Havana, Holguin, Santiago, Camaguey, Trinidad or Cienfuegos? Each part has a different types of girls.

Sylvan and Havanaman,
If you think Havana is hot in July and August, go to the East of Cuba that is when this part of the country really gets Hots.

Cuba is always hot, it doesn't matter when you go! In terms of weather, however, I would avoid the months of July and August, especially if you're planning to visit the east (Santiago). The weather is tolerable the rest of the year (Stockings, Jesus Christ!).
As I've said, I'm off next week, so if any of you guys need any deliveries made I'll be glad to help.

Santiago is brutally hot during the months of July and August. Last year I stay in Santiago from July to September and man was it Hot. Brutally Hot. I had alot of fun though.
I went to Baracoa, Hoguin and Manzanillo (If you think Santiago is Hot this place is brutal. More Humid then Hell!)
If you like heat then July and August is for you in Santiago.
Or I almost forgot that is the tourist season in Cuba also and every casa is occupied. You only get the bad one because all of the good ones are taken.

Interesting story (link below), about how the US Treasury Dept. (OFAC) spends a lot more resources hunting down Americans traveling to Cuba than terrorists.

Ten days in Havana.
I spent a long ten days in Havana at the end of April. All I have to say is that the weather is wonderful this time of year, not too hot and not too humid. The search for prime ladies however is a different story. It certainly pays to be a regular and have several ladies available any day a phone call away. The gems are still out there, but not easy to find as they were over the holidays. There has obviously been a crackdown on chicas from the provinces as the only ones available are from Havana. Chorrera is dead, The Johny is dead, Rosalia is still closed, The Casa de la Musica is completely dead. Turquino is closed to Cubans as is the pool at Marina Hemingway. Papas is closed. The indoor disco at Chevere is the new chica hangout, but is small, crowded, and lacking in good talent. Cafe Cantante and Delirio Habanero at the Teatro National are now chica spots, but not like the good old days. Maybe things will pick up after schools out! China town was also dead by the way. Times have obviously been tough the last few months. Still a beautiful country but things are not getting any easier. Other spots are probably better for mongering, especially if you are new to the city/country.

For those of you knowing both, and Chicas in mind only - Cuba or DR?

Hi guys,
I lived in Cuba almost one year, and I have been in the past 6 years more then 30 times.
I think I know cuba very well and I think there is no better country (and I have been in many places) then Cuba for nice and good sex, and not only that, the nice thing in cuba, is that you can find easily a “jinetera” which will behaviour exactly like your girlfriend.
I would like to tell you , that it’s obvious that the girl comes with you for the money, but the way she “pretend she is not “and the way she can fake it it’s so delicious which you will have an amazing time.
I think it’s very stupid go in touristy places and get a prostitute which will ask you between 50 and 100 dollars, it’s not the right way to live cuba, you don’t need that.
In Cuba, the first rule, is always get a casa particular, there are many very comfortable at 30 dollars and if you good even 20.
If you go in hotel you cannot appreciate the real Cuba, and plus you will be limited in the number of girls which you could bring up, and most of the time you need to tip the door guy about 20 dollars.
Why do that? Why spent all this money and the girl need to leave before morning? You could spent a beautiful night with no rush in a nice house and no extra tipping.
The cost of the girl if you know where to go, it’s about 20 dollars a night, this is the maximum which you need to pay, if she is really good, and you don’t mind you can tip her extra, if she was really good.
To achieve this goal avoid f all the touristy places and just go in Cuban bar and club, which you pay maximum 1 or 2 dollars and not 5 or 10!
In Habana it’s essential to have a car.
I usually suggest a particular, a private taxi 24 hours, I pay 30 dollars a day fuel included with unlimited miles, a rent car will cost you 50 or 60 plus fuel and the reason of a personal driver it’s much more then saving money believe me.
Obviously you need to have somebody you can trust, I have this friend for about 6 years now, he pick me up at airport and take me trough all my holiday can go everywhere, I am always safe, and I am able to pick up any girl I want on the street, with no money most of the times I don’t need to pay 100 dollars!
That was all thank to him and his advise, of course now I am like a Cuban and I can do anything but all my knowledge and my experience came from this friendship.
I sent a lot of friends to alexy (this is his name) if you guys need any help with Cuba just ask I will love to help you out , anything you need with Cuba, house, girls, or taxi, just contact me I will be back in agost for a month if you are around let me know I have some nice mulatta you might like, hehe.
This forum it’s very nice I discovered last year and was very helpful for my travel in Poland, Lithuania and Estonia, I will try to post more often and contribute as much as I can, you guys are fantastic source on information, that’s why today I decide to contribute as well.

I don't think Italian fucked up anything in Cuba, I think simply which are the one that more have an undestanding of the situation, becouse of the similarity in the culture and the language, most Italians speak Spanish.
Be carefull with the guide most of them are porfessional jinetero, and if they are not known they will make money on anything I will do, from the house to the beer which you buy in any bar of L'habana.
If you need a very good house with a trustable landlord I can give the address of the villa where I go, when of course I am not there. It's a nice 3 floor villa, on the sea for 30 dollars a day, you can get food if you want and a maid 24hours a day.

Tony Pilot - Thanks for a great report. I too have been to Cuba over 30 times, but it spans the last 9 years. I remember the good old days before the repression.
I would be interested in checking out the villa you spoke about. Is it a licensed casa particular? What is the address and the landlord's name. Does he have a phone number and/or e-mail address?
Thanks
