THE HOTEL TO GOT TO FOR ACTION IS THE:
....... The Palm Grove Hotel .......
Ask for a little dark skin short guy who wear a Rasta Hat, who then at my visit worked the night shift. I remember his name as being something that started with an "A." SOunds like Amid or Amadu. If I can remember the name I will edit this and include it.
.... I think any of the men woeking the hotel can assist in your needed. To get a girl it will cost you about $30-50 for her, $10-20 for the retriver (the hotel guy), and $5 to the two guards ... so in total it can be between $50-75.
....... Now be very certain you get them several types of woen you like, or a very detail description of what you want.
REMEMBER ..... you are NOT at home, so what men like in women will change.
....... LASTLY ....... I forgot the name of the city so just look up the hoels name. I know it is just across the big river separating the two countries. If at all possible avoid taking the fairy(sp), it is a real pain in the ass, and take up too damn much time.
....... HAVE FUN !!!!!!!

Hell man u r paying well too much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gambia the most u should ever pay 4 a girl is £10 (thats if u think shes worth it)
Come on , the average wage here is 400Dalasis (about£12 at this time)
No way u ever pay a girl £30 to £50.
As for the guys £2/£3 each is considered more than enough.
That's all I ever pay and they still come back for more.
Best bet get yourself an apartment and avoid the hookers round the tourist areas. find a local bumster (there r some good ones) and get some 'local' talent.
I just went out round some of the village areas and pointed out girls I liked. 9 out of 10 will be most happy to meet up with u later.
Your £10/£20 for the retriver would get u 3/4 full days with a a bumster guide and they will work their ass off to find u exactly what u want if u find the right one.
I can suggest a couple of names if anyone interested. Just tell me what u looking 4 and I might have the guide 4 u.

Dear WORDUP:
I have great respect for you and your 100+ postings, but this time I have to agree with Happyfaces99 about your overly-generous payments.
I've lived in and/or visited 32 different African countries, and the reality is that $10 - $15 (up to UK £10) is more than enough to give any lady. If you want, you can give a couple dollars more as "taxi fare," but that is it. Considering that regular educated people in The Gambia and similar countries make $100 a month salary, and uneducated girls make no more than $15-25 a month salary as a housegirl, giving $50 a night is too much.
I also agree with Happyfaces99 that one is actually more likely to have good sex with the local "amateur" talent as opposed to one of the full-time hookers working the bars and restaurants outside Senegambia Hotel and the other tourist areas.

Defending my "WORD" .... POST !!!!
....... YES I AM NOT GOING TO DISAGREE WITH YOU !!!!
.... I could have gotten more for less, but I was on a very agressive schedule and really did not have the time to really search the streets like I wanted to. Plus, I had to be very safe with my choices, even though Gambia and Senegal are low in AIDS/HIV, I made a choice to go with the girls who could show theeir check up cards, and prove they get the bi weekly, check ups. Plus the one who are in and around the hotels are more reliable, and you don't have to worry about getting ripped off, or mugged.
....... Only toward the end of my trip did I get the bargains, but I did not post them because, these girls are clean, but NOT always to the level most Westerners are us too. No they are not nasty, but if you have been to Aftrica you will know deodrants as we use are very expensive there, and NOT widely used. Africans do take several daily baths when they can. So some of the girl do have a stronger smell to their bodies than the more Pro Ladies.
....... Alot of the men use their relatives to make money, and if I was the generous American, then so be it. If I gave some African more money at one time than they make in a month "GOOD." These people treated me .... "GGGGGREAT." And I LOVED every minute of it. I have seen unbelievable proverty in both countries, so I don't mind spending my American dollars to help their population. Even if I am being selfish in my generiousity.
..... If you have the time to tour the area, you can get SEX from very young girl #16 with NO kids for $5, some even for $2, and get a girl all night and day for $5-10. Alot of the girl are extremely beautiful. I just did not have the time to explore, as I wanted too.
NEXT time I get back there I want have more time to explore and see what fun I can really have. I won't be on Business and I will not have the time to reant an apartment, I will keep to the Hotels, but I will take more time.
.... IFYOU HAVE MORE ADVANCE I WELCOME IT ESPECIALLY IF YOU GET THERE ON A REGULAR BASIS. i CAN GET THERE FROM HERE (2500 MILES AWAY) ONCE or TWICE IN A LIFE TIME. I WILL BE BACK BUT NONE TOO SOON. TOO DAMN FAR AWAY !!!!
.... Still, I will be back to Africa some time soon. JUST TO another part of it. See my post after then.
.... I will be heading to the DR .... to Sousa .... to test the waters there.
P.S. - There is more information I can gave, some of it I must keep to myself, for my own reasons. It is info will worth knowing, but I give it to people I have met in person. OR trusted email friends. "WORD" !!!!

sorry if my post appeared rep001hing, no offense intended.
being a regular visitor, 2/3 times a year, i know what the gambian "boys" are like and was just trying to ensure that others don't end up being scammed by them. if they see u paying high prices for things, they often think of you as an easy mark for fleecing u dry. i can't really blame them, as you say the poverty is appaling.
also i feel that giving a girl nearly a months wages (10 uk pounds) is better, as she could explain this to her family, wereas 6 months wages is a little harder to explain. the money will always be given straight to their mother, etc for food, school fees etc. they seem to just think it is their lucky day to meet u and are happy with what ever you give them.
paying these girls large sums, will only encourage them into full time prostitution, usually on the "encouragement" of their parents. i'd hate to see the place turning into another thailand.
or maybe i'm being a stereotypical scot ;-)
sevaral members have expressed interest in going to gambia. well let me say for first timers africa its a good beginning. just be natural and relax all the girls will come to you. i dont mean just pros either. every female from 12 upwards will try to grab you as a walking bank. small girls, big girls and women all try for you all the time. every waitress yes every one is available, every room maid, every female hotel staff from managment downover is awaiting you.
school fees -- every girl says she needs school fees, her line is her mother has sent her out to get them from tourists by any means whatsoever and if she fails she must leave school. 18,17 19 years old and will willingly go to your room for a fee !!!. the girls families send them out to try and capture a tourist and they will virtually drag you to their compound to show off the catch.
no need of the hundreds of prostitutes at all the tourist outlets as the amatuers greatly outnumber them. the pros are mostly sengalese , nigerian, ivory coast, siera leone, malian, or whatever the wind of africa blows in. i was acosted by a child (12) outside my hotel who wanted to go to my room for school fees!!! i asked her why this hotel and she said her uncle was the chef and if i agreed her he would get her past the security as she was **** and i was to pay him. what a state to be in when kids are on the street ?? i refused naturally but i can say many many do not, everything and everyone has a price.
outside mangia lodge where i stayed. the weekly kids disco atracted loads of kids who could not afford the admission and tourists paid them in for a favour of course !! all said they were sixteen of course but they would struggle for 14-15 most of them.
sex was roughly 150 dalasia@35+1p=6.5usd

THIS IS THE INFORMATION, I did NOT include.
....... EMAIL, you are so very right. As an American, and as a person, I just could NOT see having SEX with with what I see as a MINOR, NOR giving anyone information on it. I was offered minor young girls and I refused with a passion. I even threatened to report them to the POLICE, and told them if I ever saw a minor in the room of any guest for SEX I would report them too. I just can't see it. Kids should be kids !!!! I personally would NOT accept anyone under 18y/o, for NO reason, and with no ID's to show I saw some girls that looked under 18y/o, but they had their State/Gov. Health card, so they can legally Hook.
....... There are too many men reading this board who look to have sex with very young girls and I will "NOT" assist them in that. One word of reason .... even in Africa, if you are caught having SEX with children, they will have little mercy on you especially if that was your intent, to have a minor service you.
THIS "YOU" NOW KNOW !!!!
.... As For The NON PROS, I got a lot of action from young girls at the market area in Dakkar. These girls looked over 16y/o, but I did NOT get a chance to engage since I did not speak French, and did NOT want to offend my guide as I was shopping with others, who came along, to shop too. I could see they were interested, and in broken English I was asked if they wanted them to visit me at my Hotel. I just did NOT have enough time, and I would have to get them pass security once they arrived, and unless I were waiting for them at the Hotel, they had no way to reach me, unless they paid security to call me, and very few had the money.
....... At night I did not see SW walking pass my Hotel, as I would see in the States or else where. Around my Hotel it was fairly quiet. And being a person of uncommon sense, I did not journey alone into the night .... Regardless of how safe the streets looked. The Hotel, had some fine hookers at the Hotel bar. They girls were between 22-30, and the French men visiting the Hotel, spoiled the broth, by paying them far too much. These girl want $100us.
Thanks but NO Thanks !!!! I did get a bar hook who took a liking to me, and she would cut me a break. I paid for all night, what others paid for just a few hours. She did tell me that she could only get with me, if she slipped away, and did NOT let the Hotel manager see her take the elevator up. She usually came up after 1am, and left around 8-9am.
....... I wish I had this information prior to my trip. I would have been able to smooth navigate through my visit. The posting of the present information, would have made my visit a virtual sexual paradise.

I flew to gambia in february 02 with a highly respected company called Gambia Experience and included in the deal was the first nights free stay in a place called the Malawi guest house.
I arrived and was shown a nice room and had a showerand went for a beer in the guest house barwhere i was accosted by a gambian offering me the services of a boy!!! about twelve years old. I was staggered. I pissed him off, however the owner a white guy was around and it was quickly obvious he had his own bum boy of about 11yrs. It turned out to be mainly the haunt of child fuckers. As i watched. a gambian guy came with a boy and a girl who the waiter said were for sex hire.
Next day i went to my flight operator near the sennagambia hotel and reported this state of affairs , ---- this is what i got -- if i made a complaint to the police they would ask for and keep my passport until it was all settled !!! and as it was usually many months before a court hearing I would be there some time!!. I dropped it and as I was just a one nighter there I got on with my hols.
On arrival back in UK I took up the case with them (tour operator) and after several e-mails i got a letter saying they had dropped the Malawi guest house from the list of approved accom. However due to police corruption I dare bet it is still in business. The guy running the place was paying all school fees for the kids and feeding them, and his chosen one slept in his appartment, as I said in my previous mail everything has a price and poverty is the problem. I just thought this may clear up any illusions on the gambian sex scene.

[red]This report could be grounds for a libel action. I have stayed at said guest house once before and never saw any signs of the illegal activities stated in this post.
I think the name of the property should be removed, unless there is proof otherwise, on legal grounds.

As a regular to The Gambia (bout 10 times now), I must say I'm surprised at the reports of very young girls on the Game. I must say I have never come across any obvious child prostitution.
Gambian girls do mature early (my girlfriends daughter looked about 14 when she was 10), so it would be an easy mistake to make.
If any of thesekids you guys are taking about looked 12 by european standards thats scary, cause by the norm in Gambia they would be much younger.
By the way, the police have moved out and the army now "police" the tourist areas, which seems to be controlling the "Bumster" problem.
Can anybody who have been to gambia answer this question:
-is it common that the girls have got their clitoris removed?
(i read in the lonley planet guidebook that it was over 80%!?)
If that is true it is really tragic. Please tell what you have
experienced.

I spent a lot of time in The Gambia in the late 80s-early 90s and again for a month in 2000 and yes, it's true, and as a result many women just tend to lie there during FS and can't achieve an orgasm. This is also true with many of the Muslim women in the other Sahel countries such as Senegal, Mali and the northern parts of Burkina Faso.
On the other hand, for many of the women the operation only removed part of the clitoris but not the nerve endings, so a little muff diving on your part can drive the women absolutely wild. I still have great memories of a hot babe who I nailed back in August 1989 - she screamed so much that I thought that the Senegambia Hotel security was going to come knocking on my door.
Cheer up, it could be worse. In Somalia they "circumcize and infibullate" the women; that is, they cut off all of the clitoris, then they remove the labia major and labia minor, then they sew up the vagina except for a small hole. This is usually done when the girl is 6 to 10 years old and is done to guarantee virginity, but it also causes a high rate of infection and infertility, plus incredible complications at childbirth, plus guarantees that the woman can never enjoy sex (which supposedly helps ensure that a woman will never be unfaithful to their husband). A small but significant percentage of girls bleed to death from the procedure, and another percentage of women needlessly die during childbirth. A Somali tradition is that a woman goes into seclusion for 10 days after her wedding day, supposedly to think romantic thoughts of her new husband, but actually it is to recover from "opening night."
I lived in Somalia for almost a year about 20 years ago and speak from extensive personal experience. And I've traveled in over 75 countries throughout the world and this is the single most barbaric practice I've ever come across.
***********
One sad footnote. In 1983 I was in the U.S. and watched a porn movie with a Somali woman in her mid-20s, educated but who had never travelled outside of her country. She seemed fascinated by the vaginal areas of the women in the film, then finally said to me "what's wrong with all of these girls? why do their bodies look like that?" to which I replied that there was nothing wrong with the women in the film, that that was what normal women looked like down there, and that she was the one who wasn't "normal." She spent the rest of the movie looking very sad while carefully studying the women's vaginal areas. I felt bad telling her, but she needed to know.
Luckily this practice seems to be dying out, as more and more Somalis (both male and female) travel, learn about the rest of the world, then resolve not to make their daughters have the operation.
This is a general question to all the experts (Mike-q, Frank Africa, email, Word, others) on Africa. I would love to visit Africa later on this Winter, but the one thing that stops me is the concern over the possible health risks. I am not talking about HIV either because I use protection anyways. I am concerned about stuff like Malaria as well as other serious mosquito borne illnesses and things that can be deadly in a matter of few hours like Meningococcal meningitis. If I do go, I will certainly be up to date on all the recommended vaccines and I will definitely be taking prophylactic medicines for Malaria. I guess my question is the following: for a first time visitor, which country (excluding South Africa, Egypt and places like that) would you guys recommend will have the least amount of health risk and the best available medical care? Have any of you run into or picked up anything serious while you were in Africa and if so, how did you have to deal with it?
From my reading, it seems that Ghana or Malawi are always suggested as the first countries to visit. Namibia? Do you guys agree?
Thanks for the info.

I'm not a regular poster (or reader) on this board. In fact, the only reason I found it was because it was high up on the 'last 24 hours' page. I've never been to Africa, and probably won't ever end up there because I'm too afraid of the disease issues. SO, please forgive the intrusion.
But, I just had to comment on this... What's wrong with Thailand? HappyFace, I assume, based on your posting, that you're a monger. So, why would you not like a monger paradise like LOS? Have you ever been? I'm really curious, but won't be likely to see a response on this thread. You can e-mail me at purplengold123@yahoo.com

The Gambia is quite often described as as Africa for beginners.
No language problem, majority of people speak very good English and often several other European languages (German, French, etc)
There are few health risks, if you get the recommended course of vacinations (expensive first time, but most last 10 years and you should be covered for going almost anywhere else too)
Aids, is not as rampant in West Africa as in other areas (Kenya, etc), but always use protection.
Medical care for tourists is generally very good, as you can afford it (travel insurance a must) whereas most Gambians can't.
The worst I've had in 10 visits was an infected foot, my own fault for not covering a cut and letting flies at it.
Although you will get hustled, there are few major safety concerns. Tourist crime (muggings, etc) is almost unheard of, your far more likely to get mugged in Manchester or London than Gambia.
Gambian's generally encourage visitors to their country and their homes (unlike some places I've been) and any friends you make will really do their best to watch out for you.
