Trip Report November 8-11, 2011
A couple of months ago, I had planned to finish the remaining month and a half of an original 3 month vacation I had started at the beginning of the year (had to cut short due to work requirements). So my plan this go around was to visit 3 countries and at least 2 different cities specifically within two of those countries. The countries on my trip were Kenya, Malawi, and Uganda, with visits to Mombasa and Nairobi, and Lilongwe and Blantyre. Most of my Uganda action was centered in Kampala so no plans were made to go elsewhere within Uganda.
Prior to purchasing any airplane ticket, I had established a good number of contacts from the two Afro sites as well as AFF (AFF is not necessary IMHO but I did score one good lay and had to take rain checks on at least 3 others) and I also communicated with some of the established fellow mongers in Malawi and Kenya. Once I had a good feeling about those prospects, I booked all of my travel for my entire trip the same day. I purchased an upgradeable (outbound) e-ticket on KLM (yup, I flew Biz Class all the way) from Midwest US to Nairobi for $1, 900USD and RT e-tickets on Kenya Airways from Nairobi to Lilongwe, Nairobi to Mombasa, and Nairobi to Entebbe for $1, 850USD total (I found a little trick by booking first ticket NBO-LLW-NBO-MBA and second ticket MBA-NBO-EBB-NBO saved me $300USD). Yes, I did research the other budget carriers but since it was end of the year, I needed and wanted mileage credit to count for something since Delta SkyMiles program features rollover miles. I would have only ended up saving just a couple hundred dollars that I likely would have had to spend on baggage, so I just went with Kenya Airways, which is supposed to be the Pride of Africa but turned out to be the Shame of Africa, according to one flyer on the 9 hours delayed Kenya Airways flight taking us to Amsterdam on Christmas Day (originally I was booked to fly KLM but that flight got cancelled). But enough with air talk.
Met Jackie C. Upon arrival at JKIA and proceeded to Central Park Hotel. Taxi fare was 3000KSH (roundtrip for her which I paid but wasn't too pleased about that since I had only budgeted 3000KSH for both my arrival and departure taxi rides so I had to go out the next day and exchange more cash-yes fellas I tried to have it down to the last dollar given the length of my trip and my hope that the exchange rate would go in my favor a bit later which it didn't). Hotel Central Park is 2, 800KSH for single + 700KSH for guest with breakfast included; located close to many of the downtown attractions and features free Wifi but it didn't work just like last time (Oct) it wasn't operating. Jackie is a Kikuyu and though a bit thicker than I prefer, we had a wonderful time together. When I say we had a wonderful time, I mean we fucked multiple times each day, and each session lasted at least an hour or so of non stop fucking. I am not big by any means, but I had her falling in love with my dick (and a few other ladies later on). I spent the entire time just with her, but I have so many attractive options awaiting me that I won't do the same next stay. To get around the non-functioning free Wifi, I purchased a Safaricom modem with which you can pay by the Mb or purchase unlimited broadband access for 7 days (1, 000KSH) or a month (3, 000KSH). Next stay I plan to cycle through a new lady every day. Jackie was cool but later became a bit weird, which I will detail in my subsequent report. For those wondering, I only paid the extra room fee (700ksh) , meals for two, one night out at Madhouse which included entrance fee and drinks, and few hundred ksh (like 200ksh) for taxi on couple of occasions. When I was leaving to fly out to Malawi (trip report already posted) , I slipped her 1, 000ksh. Yes that is right! She had painted the picture that she owned a hair salon and she wasn't with me for the money. So no need to call me a cheapo; but you can call me smart for having some really good fucking experiences on the cheap.
So lessons learned from this episode: Don't have chick you never met meet you at the airport (see my Malawi report for why this is a big deal with me); 2. Exchange as much money as you can when the exchange rate was elevated as it was in the September-October timeframe as I did visit Kenya in October but had only carried enough cash for that trip, not my subsequent November and December visits; set your expectations low if you decide to fly Kenya Airways.
Somali prostitutes in Nairobi
Is it possible to find Somali prostitutes in Nairobi, or is it just a myth. I heard rumors about Somali women, especially in Eastleigh and the various nightclubs in downtown Nairobi such as Florida. Can anyone provide me with any info to confirm or reject the idea of Somali prostitutes in Nairobi?
Thanks.
