Garden Club - Rua Alvorada 550, Vila Olimpia. The best club in SP!
GK
GK: What is the price structure for the Garden Club? Is this the place that's an on-site Mansion?
Hey Tommy,
What is the pricing for P4P for this club?
I've been there once and it was like 160R for door fee to use for drinks. I ordered juice and a girl got a glass of champagne and it was over 160 and the waiter kept on asking for tips so I was turned off by the place. There were like 20 girls there and were cute but nothing sparked my interests.
Friday night/morning. Love Story. Very crowded. Hard to walk around, not much space. Loud. Fun. Girls- above average looking many of them.
The key to really appreciate Love Story, especially on a weekend night when it's excessively crowdy, is to take a VIP table bordering the dance floor (bottle mandatory).
Pure bliss.
I'm planning my first trip to Brazil in August. I'll fly from California to Rio and stay 13 days. I'm determined to see Iguazu Falls (or however it's spelled).
I thought I'd take a bus to Paraty for a couple of nights and then to Sao Paulo before traveling on to Iguazu.
But after reading through the reports, Sao Paulo sounds pricey and slow to get around, not a good value, although I would like to see the mega metropolis.
But I'm thinking I ought to blow it off, add a few days to Rio, and just take a round trip from Rio to Iguazu.
What do you think?
And don't hesitate to PM me if that's more appropiate. I'm really not what the topic-starter protocol is here.
Thank you for your patience.
I am doing a quick 2 night trip to Sao Paulo next week. I will have most of Sunday free as well as Monday night.
Can you recommend some spots near Brooklyn Novo (short cab distance)? I've been to Solarium in Rio a few times, and really enjoyed myself. I'd like to find something similar open Sunday. There seems to be a lot of massage clinicas near there. Can anyone comment on these?
Can incall mongering be had on a Sunday afternoon in Sao Paulo? Otherwise is there a place to pick up a TLN type of girl during the day/early evening (who will stay for a few hours)?
Does anyone know the details about Gauguin Cafe? What is the prices/quality? Reputable place? What time they open? Shows seem to start at 10pm according to their website, but I would like some action earlier, perhaps to take back to my hotel that is very close by. What are Sundays like there?
On the ground in SP. It is a buyers market. All the garotas in the clubs are compalining there are no Gringos in SP and the Brazilians are not spending their money. A good time can be had for very little depending on your skills.

I'll be there next week but the Real is 2.03 so if it is less now it's still paying about the same as I did 3 months ago when it was 2.37. Can never get a break lol

I don't think you can get away with spending less than $R450 for a couple of hours ST with one girl.

Let us know where you go and the skinny on how low you can negotiate. $250/R including the entrance fee is what I paid last month in Rio @ Solarium....but it was the best I've had on 5 continents. Looking to do as good or better in SP.
I need some help for an upcoming trip. I am familiar with Rio, but have not spent much time in SP. Not surprisingly, my luck in SP has not been the best. Reading some of the posts, the prices at these places are muy caro. The places I like in Rio are the thermas (4X4, L'uomo, Monte Carlo, etc.). I don't enjoy the scene at Help. I don't like bringing girls back to my room.
Can someone throw me a line with some advice?
Adaptable,
Hmmm. My experience at Guaguin has been different. Great selection and with some decent negotiation price is about 250R for up to a couple of hours.

Great. Was that for back to the hotel....or did you use the rooms on site?
Anyone have any suggestions for Sunday afternoon?
...The places I like in Rio are the thermas (4X4, L'uomo, Monte Carlo, etc.). I don't enjoy the scene at Help. As far as I know, there are no on-site rooms at Cafe Photo & Gauguin. Bomboa now has their rooms in a separate building next door. The Ocean Club near the end of the Nestor Pestana clubs (Kilt, Vagao, My Love) have a hotel next door also with ST rooms for R$80 an hour.
Anyone in Sao Paulo now that can tell us if Cafe Millenium is open or not?
